Stephen D Brown

Dr. Brown was asked to review my chest CT for consideration of needle biopsy of a mass. He dictated an addendum to the official reading of the CT which showed that he had no understanding of my clinical history and poor diagnostic radiology skills. He expressed the opinion that the CT did not support a malignancy, though he said he could not definitively exclude a mass. He attributed changes in the CT to a history of tuberculosis. I was infected by TB and had latent disease for which I was treated over 30 years ago. I never had active tuberculosis as proven through years of surveillance x-rays that were always read as negative. My thoracic surgeon performed a VATS guided biopsies of a solid lung mass because Dr. Brown refused to do a requested CT guided core biopsies. The biopsies were positive for primary adenocarcinoma of the lung.

I had Him for several years before recently relocating. I always found him very knowledgeable and would take the time to research any unusual case such as mine which he did one time. He call me after hours to inform me. I would give him five star rating on everything. The office and staff I would also give five star rating. Never heard anything negative about him or his office. Both my wife and I truly miss his caring knowledgeable and professional care. Was never in a hurry to leave you when you seen him.

We never got a chance to meet the doctor. We were waiting in waiting area for 2 hours without notifying us that he had to take care of an emergency situation. His time is precious and our time is precious too, but he showed no respect for our time and didn't bother to wait for us for 15 minutes. He and his staff didn't even apologies for wasting our time. A doctor should be loyal to his/her patients, but doctor Brown and his staff acted very selfish and careless.
