Dr. Stephanie Todd

Dr. Stephanie J Todd provided some service during my delivery at Stone Springs Hospital (bill was from children’s National though) as an inhouse doctor. We made sure our hospital was in network. A couple months later we got a charge from Dr. Stephanie J Todd from Children's National Medical Association in Washington DC for resuscitation of our newborn. I was with my newborn the entire time and she was never resuscitated. We don't even remember Dr. Stephanie J Todd providing any significant service during our stay or mentioning anything about being from another hospital. I have spent HOURS running around trying to get the information I need for my daughter to prove this did not occur. The bill just so happen to come to me before it went through insurance where it would have been covered and I would have never known. Seeing as I’m not the only one experiencing this issue, I believe this to be insurance fraud. Is there a legal way to confront these doctors? I have entered my email and would love to be contacted regarding this issue.

Dr. Stephanie J Todd and Dr. Karen M Perry provided some service during my wife's delivery in Reston Hospital as inhouse doctors which was in network.We had already triple checked that Reston hospital would be in network and even got an estimate from them. A few months later Dr. Stephanie J Todd and Dr. Karen M Perry charged us from Children's National Medical Association in Washington DC as an out of network hospital. This is while the service they provided was in Reston Hospital and they never introduced themselves as out of network doctors. We don't even remember Dr. Stephanie J Todd and Dr. Karen M Perry providing any significant service during our stay or mentioning anything about being from another hospital. Apparently they know how to trick the system and send us a bill. So we are left with two choices. Either pay the surprise bill and move on with our life (which we can't afford) or to go through a long time taking process of calls and email correspondence to see if we can get the bills removed. THIS IS FRAUD. Is there a legal way to confront these doctors?Â
