Dr. Lu is GREAT! Very competent, respectful, friendly, and uplifting! It's always a very pleasant and helpful visit - enjoy her positive attitude and conversation. Her treatments have really helped me! She is the ONLY reason my husband I continue to go to this facility.

I would love to see the doctor willing to spend a little more time with the patient, the doctor is very friendly and caring but a bit rushed off with the patient. Thank you

Very thorough exam, explains results, answers questions, very friendly, on time appointments

She overcharged us without our consent. We contacted UCI Medical Center billig department and they said it's her decision and they reported the complain for unjustified billing but she didn't even care to reply.

When my grandfather had a retinal detachment a few months ago, we were extremely concerned about my grandfather losing his vision permanently. Our family is very grateful to Dr. Stephanie Lu for restoring my grandfather’s vision. From the moment my grandfather went under Dr. Lu’s care, Dr. Lu treated my grandfather with care and attentiveness. In addition to our appreciation of Dr. Lu’s professionalism and expertise, we are also grateful to her and her team for showing such a high level of care and attentiveness to my grandfather - before and after surgery and during all the follow-up appointments. Her dedication and kindness deeply touched our family!

Dr. Stephanie Lu is professional, personable, and patient. I feel comfortable and confident about her clinical experience and expertise, and she is an ophthalmologist I can truly trust.

I saw her for a consult for macular edema. She agreed with another retinologist and recommended I do NOT have surgery at this time.

I had a macular hole repaired by Dr Lu recently. Before the surgery, I was not able to see any letters on the eye chart, but my vision is perfect now. Thank you Dr Lu, you are amazing!!!

My husband has been going to Dr. Lu for approximately 3 years for his macular degeneration. She was able to get my husband into prequalification for a clinical trial, which he was able to take part in. She never acts rushed, always has a smile on her face, asks how you're doing, and takes all the time necessary to answer any question we've had. Her credentials speak for themselves. You could not ask for a better doctor.

Outstanding! I feel Dr. Lu generally cares for her patients and their well being! She always takes the time to listen, ask about how they are and even asks how their family have been since the last visit. Dr Lu always greets me with a smile and take a moment for small talk, thereby setting my mind at ease. She takes time to explain everything about my health and what tests have been performed, and carefully listen if I have any questions..I consider Dr. Lu an expert in he field.

Great surgeon!

Overall, Dr. Lu doesn't listen to her patients. When she gets a question, she simply responds without actually considering what I'm saying. I can't tell if there is a language or cultural barrier however when one of her colleagues came into the room I had all of my questions answered very easily. I'm not unreasonable, I have a complex eye disorder. I simply want to know what I have and why she is recommending a treatment. She simply doesn't explain anything.
