My mother had a very suspect looking spot on her back and she showed it to Dr. Calkins, who said she was not concerned. My mother pushed back and advocated for a dermatology referral. Thank goodness she did, because it turned out to be melanoma, the most dangerous and fast spreading form of skin cancer. Because of Dr. Calkins slow action, my mom wasn't able to get in to the dermatologist for around 6 months. Melanoma has been known to spread to other parts of the body in that amount of time. Though the cancer has been removed, it was quite deep and painful. She was told to keep an eye on her lymph nodes because there is the potential for re-occurrence. Because of this incident and others, I don't trust Dr. Calkins to do what is best; I will be trying to convince my mother to switch doctors.

She's disgusting.. You have the right to record all medical appointments in Maine without them knowing. Keep it for your files, cause she's disgusting.... Dogs get better treatment. Psych drug your own kids witch!!! Leave ours alone!! NO means NO!! Would not recommend going to her!!!!
