Dr Schaffer is the best. Both of her PA’s are equally great. Always on time and the best primary doctor I have ever experienced. The staff is extremely professional, helpful and kind. This will be my doctor as long as they are practicing.

Dr Schaffer is just the best. She has been my primary physician for over a decade and, despite my poor choices, she has kept me upright and able to run my business. Her office staff has had it's challenges but is doing an excellent job these days. (Pro tip - TELL THE DOCTOR. No one can solve a problem without complete information) I recently had an appt with the NP, Michelle Williams, and found her to be excellent. I am very happy to have these folks on my side.

This was my first visit, there was no wait, the staff was pleasant and Michelle, the NP was very thorough, got to know me and my history and was extremely personable. So happy I found this group

Excellent doctor, and in my opinion the best there is in our county. She is very well versed in most everything that me and my family have needed. Not only is Dr. Schaffer exceptional, but so is her staff!

Ann Marie and Dr. Schaffer are the Best! You will absolutely Love them. They are kind and personable. They really care about their patients. Easy to talk to and they listen to you. The past couple of years I’ve needed to go to different Specialists and they let me me go at my pace not theirs and I really do appreciate that. My wife and I see Dr. starleen Schaffer regularly and have had no issues, either with her understanding our issues and concerns or with her professionalism and knowledge. We afe satisfied with her experience and with the front office scheduling to meet our needs.

After many illnesses and years of medical care, I can, without a doubt, say that this is the by far the finest medical practice I have EVER experienced.

I have never had any issues or problems in the 5 years I've been a patient. Dr. Schaffer is always cheerful with a smile and actively engages in listening to find the root of a problem. She found what other Dr's had not with a simple blood test. I've also never had a problem with any of the staff personally, except for one, but I also have never caused any problems. If I had any issues, I would still be respectful of people as individuals and not treat them as if they were beneath me. This seems to happen far to often with the misconception that the "customer" is always right.. Sad peraonal sense of entitlement. I absolutely love going to see Dr. Schaffer she is awesome and very friendly and up front with you and I love that. The staff in the first office are so sweet and friendly. Would highly recommend!

Everyone in the office is so nice. DR Schaffer and her PDA went over all my blood work in detail. She Also reminded me to sign up for Medicare, which I totally forgot about. I would highly recommend the DR for anyone looking for someone who cares.

This visit was awesome. I love this office. I have been going there for years and I refer all my friends to them.

Dr. Schaffer is always so very pleasant as well as her staff. Have always had a good and thorough exam and have been given referrals whenever needed. We actually look forward to our appointments.

I am so pleased to have changed my PCP to Dr. Starleen Schaffer I find all associates to be polite and professional. The office is neat and clean and I am seen at my appointment time. Then everything is totally explained to me so I can understand.

I searched for a general practitioner for a couple of years and people recommended Dr.Starleen Shaffer. I've been a patient for over a year. I have seen her nurse practionists and finally found what was going on with me. Every rock was turned over and put on medications that worked. They are very thorough. I highly recommend them. I don't want to put a negative but one thing I think needs improvement is front desk. I was accused of no showing for an appointment, I would never miss an appointment unless an emergency was presented to me. I would call.... Also the way they would do controlled substances, they would give you the hard copy. You would have to bring it to your pharmacy. Well the rules changed and I was spoken to in a very abrupt way stating that they have to fax them to pharmacy. I was okay with that because that was what I was used to. Nothing like made to feel degraded and that I was doing Something wrong. Other than that maybe they could address the front desk and talk to the patient in a more caring way. I'm afraid of Dr.s and their staff. I want to feel comfortable to ask questions and not keep it in because they are talking about you. I'm Just so happy the nurse practitioners and Dr Schaffer are on top of everything. That over comes the issues in the front. I still would like it if they had more compassion and empathy. We are people that need help. Today I had to call because I tested positive for covid. The nurse practitioner was great, she treated all issues. She treated me like a human and did everything to treat the symptoms and addressed all my concerns. She didn't have much time but what time she did she explained what all the meds do. That is so important. Helps ease your fears and what she was going to give me and what it would do. I'm so happy I found this Dr. It would appease me if she talked to front desk. Would not recommend. Dr seems very nice; however, she wouldn't consult with one of my specialists who is treating me for an inflammatory condition. She just prescribed more anti-inflammatories, asking me which mg I would prefer. Told her I didn't think I should take more considering I was already taking another medication. Also, I never received a phone call with my bloodwork test results. When I called asking for a callback with my results (3-weeks after they received them), I was told I had to make an appointment to get the results. I said no, I want someone to read them and tell me if there are any concerning results. Nope...no appointment ($50 co-pay), no results. This is the only doctor who has refused to give results over the phone.

I am a new patient and really like Dr. Schaffer, her NP and the staff. They were on time and very thorough. They were very prepared for my visit and took care of me as an individual , not just a number. I am so glad I chose Dr. Schaffer as my Primary physician.

Great office staff, caring PA .

I personally found Dr. Schaffer herself to be pleasant and caring, but the office is run very poorly. The staff is bad at calling in requests for refills of prescriptions. I have been treated with hostility and condescension by them. They don’t even bother to say my name correctly. Recently, I had a very complicated issue, and they refused to accommodate my needs, screaming at me repeatedly about “office policy”, then refused to authorize service for a secondary provider for a severely painful spinal problem that I’ve been trying to deal with for years. I feel I’ve been treated unprofessionally and in opposition to the concept of the Hippocratic oath, due to the “office policies” set by the office manager, who is well-known in town as a spiteful person who treats people badly. I have been Dr. Schaffer's patient for about three years. I had an ongoing undiagnosed medical problem for several years when I first began seeing her. She was able to figure out the problems and referred me to an appropriate surgeon for proper care. I am so appreciative of her and in addition, her staff has always done everything necessary to get me in when I was sick. Her staff is always pleasant and professional and seem to go out of their way to assist patients.

The doctors are fine but the staff upfront is terrible. When I call to say I have a serious issue and need to get ASAP they almost seem to find joy In saying no. At other offices the receptionist typically says “let me have you talk to our nurse on staff” or “let me check with a doc and get back to you”. They don’t even say “hey maybe you should go to urgent care” just tell you weeks out appts that are available, no empathy whatsoever. From the two experiences I have has, issues with billing, issues getting tests set up (took 3 weeks to get a test scheduled and one never was scheduled and when I would call and check on it I would be told to just wait longer) and issues getting an appt when I had a serious issue. Done with this office.

Dr. Starleen Schaffer herself may be a nice person but her husband, Louis Joseph Schaffer who runs the office and the office staff is a horrible person. He decides who she talks to and who she can see by appointment. He is not a doctor and should not be making these decisions. I have reported them in writing to Medicare. and

As a medical professional I feel that Dr. Schafer does not care for her elderly patients. I am my mother’s health care surrogate and I have never received a return call from this physician regarding my elderly mother’s care. A lack of a physician’s communication and care for the elderly is considered negligence. I would not recommend this physician to anyone. She is a provider that only cares about getting Medicare payments. She does not care about the well being of her elderly patients. OMG the absolute worst office staff ever!!!!!! A dear friend recommended DR Schaffer, to me last year. I was looking for a primary care Dr for both myself and my husband. We both love DR Schaffer, she is very kind and compassionate. Her office staff on the other hand is totally incompetent! Every single interaction with them has been difficult to say the least. Every single appointment has been changed, usually at the last minute without informing us until we showed up for the appointment. They have confirmed appointments that do not even exist. They set an appointment then call to confirm a completely different date and time... The staff act as though it is our fault. I have had to call several times to ask for prescriptions to be sent to the provider. Sometimes you can have a personal appointment, sometimes you cant it is completely inconsistent. The issues go on and on, my husband is having health issues at this point in time and I DO NOT feel secure putting his life in their hands. While I don’t really have any comparative experiences (don’t go to doctors often), I can say that my first visit here was great! The staff from start to finish were friendly, helpful, and polite. They fit me in as soon as they could, and were very kind in regards to getting me set up. I’m not familiarized with medical visits and so forth, and was a bit nervous to be honest, but they got me right through it. Mrs. Pierce (NP) was very thorough, and I felt like she actually listened to understand- despite my nervous gibberish. Overall, I was very happy with the services here. I’ll gladly come back and make this my regular, primary doctor’s office, and happily recommend this place to others. I have been Dr. Schaffer’s patient for 3 years. The wait to see her is very short and her staff is very pleasant. Dr. Schaffer always takes time to listen to my concerns and will refer me to excellent specialist when needed. I have also been seen by the practitioners who are caring and thorough as well. The online visits were great during the pandemic. I recommend her regularly to my family and friends.

I wouldn’t recommend her. I went in (after being a patient for a year) and told her I was in severe pain. She gave me an anti-inflammatory and sent me away. I called her 4 times! I had a broken pelvis and she never suggested I go for an X-ray. I found another doctor.

I have been a patient for 9 months, Dr. Schaeffer is nice. She is understanding and took the time to explain things to me. I did miss one visit and now I can not get a renewal of my meds. She will only give me a 7 day supply as that is when I had another office visit. The price of a 7 day RX is more then a months supply. I explained this to no avail. Also, the office staff is TERRIBLE!!!!!! They don't follow through with additional scheduling with specialists/or testing.

Don't go there folks! I missed work to go to an appointment that they never called me to cancel. I was warned about the staff when I was referred to this office and apparently the same issues exist today. If you aren't taking medication you will be after dealing with the office staff. Upon walking into this practice it was very warm in the office. Typically doctors offices are famous for being cold, not this one. The overall view of the lobby/waiting area was not aesthetically pleasing. The office had a water dispenser but their was no water, instead a pile of magazines and plastic cups sat on top. The office had also been conducting new employee interviews that day, the poor girls had to sit and wait while looking at their "competition." It seems this office is trying to "rebrand." I have never had a problem with the staff. They have always been courteous and extremely helpful when I have called or visited. Dr. takes her time with you and is a very caring person. She works with you and always has the biggest smile. I am glad that I was referred to her when we moved here.
