Back in the day he used to be one of the only doctors that prescribed Suboxone... Now days, being that's there's so many other physicians that do. Avoid going to Dr.Mcdonald. My husband and I tried to move to Dallas Texas and could not find a doctor that prescribed suboxone with our insurance among other things so we moved back to Utah. Well on the way back literally as we were driving. I scheduled apts for both of us with Dr McDonald to ensure we would be able to continue our prescriptions without a problem. Well about 8 hours from home, we were in a serious car accident. My husband almost died and was life flighted to another state and our car was totaled. I was started in New Mexico. Needless to say, we didn't make our apts with Dr McDonald and it wasn't even on my mind at the time because life as we knew it was drastically different. I wasn't even aware and this is like 8 years later he's trying to charge me $300 for that missed apt . It just hit my credit karma account that it is now in collections. What a joke. He also sued my husband for his missed apt. Like straight up went to court and everything. My mother in law called and cancelled these apts for both of us when my husband was still in surgery. And God forbid you have to deal with the rude, judgemental, front desk ladies! (Who obviously didn't do their job and cancel the apts in the first place) so now years later, here we are, still dealing with this. Apparently this man doesn't make enough money. Ha. What a scam.

Dr McDonald is amazing I've been going to him for years and literally enjoy coming to see him and his staff. He is very engaging and always does his best to fix whatever I'm going through weather it's a conversation or meds, he always makes you feel like he cares and that he's rooting for you. I always recommend my friends/family to him, because of his awesome bed side manner and caring nature. He's always worked with me on payments when I was short $ and gave me opportunities that I have never had in life before, and I will be eternally grateful for everything he's done and does for me. No matter the issue I would definitely recommend him, because he will always do what it takes to help you achieve a happy and peaceful life!!!!!

His staff moved in October 2021 to a new, better location. I think they were still organizing the patient rooms. Seemed a little crammed. However, Dr. McDonald & staff are caring, & patient. He & staff went over my medical plan. And explained each procedure. Thoroughly. And helped me understand my new Medicare plan. Very positive info & call backs to have better health.

As a new patient and the first appointment of the day I waited and listened to Dr McDonald talk to his employees for 40 minutes about the new building they are moving into and if they wanted drawers or shelves. He finally came in without any sort of apology for my wait. I arrived at 8:55 for a 9 am appointment. He finally came into the exam room at 9:50 (after being told he wasn’t even in the office yet) and I was seen by him for less than 10 minutes. Would not recommend and will not be returning. I've been going to Dr McDonald for several years. He is very knowledgeable and has a caring pragmatic approach to healthcare. His bedside manner is excellent. He doesn't seem biased towards specific medicines. He often prescribes generic brands. He's also keen on practical advice like exercise and diet changes in addition to pills. He has 40 years experience dealing with sick people. I would recommend him to anyone. The best ! I've been going to Dr McDonald for several years. Definitely cannot recommend this doctor nor his office to anyone.

He initially was great but I was diagnosed with diabetes and he gave me nothing for it. I asked him if u should be taking anything and he told me yes but still never gave me anything. Not even a sugar monitor. I jad to find another dr to handle my diabetes and deal with insurances and it was a pain and yet his office had told me he will only continue seeing me if he handles everything. So it left me wondering what I was supposed to do. And a couple of times I was going out of town and needed to pick up a prescription one day early and was made to feel like a criminal for asking. Now all my prescriptions say on them must last 30 days. As if I always ask for early refills. Im looking forward to seeing this new dr for most of my care. Would not recommend this one unless its a must and your ok with just having the same prescriptions thrown at you every single month. And God forbid you have a question or issue between visits! Awsome doctor always quick and efficient. Great doctor and has helped me immensely in my life i cannot put into words the way this doctor and staff have changed my life

Dr. McDonald is thorough and insightful. He sees the obvious but also detects beyond that to uncover underlying factors. He is very pleasant, listens and knowledgeable. He has uncovered serious issues on several occasions that were treated before they became much worse. Good experience all around.

I have been see Dr McDonald for about 3 almost 4 years and I can honestly say he is the best Doctor I have ever had the privilege to be my primary care physician. I would recommend him to anyone. All of the people in his office are also such great people. I even drive 30 to 40 minutes just to keep him as my doctor. I have ma y other choices that could be much closer. But I don't think anyone could beat the friendship this man has with his patients. Thanks to you and all who works in your office if I could give 6 stars I would give it. Thanks for everything you have done for my Wife and I. We would not be who we are today without you. Without the worst experience I have had with a doctor. I came asking for help with a medical issue and left feeling like I was criminal. Cannot recommend him unless he is the only choice.

He has been my doctor for years, and he is so easy going that I never feel nervous or scared, or uncomfortable. He has a dry sense of humor that I enjoy, and he also been able to help me figure out what is going on with my body whenever it starts to rebel. I have never had a negative experience with him, or with his office in general.

In town from out of state and wife got sick. The office staff were so nice. Wife seen quickly and Dr. was just great. I just cannot praise them highly enough.
