Stanton L Longenecker

Doctor longanecker has operated on me 4 times, all with tremendous successful outcomes. These were 2 orthoscopies, one knee replacement and one repair of a broken kneecap. I recommend him to everybody I know.

He's personable, but other than that extremely disappointed. Took Xray and found out I had a meniscus tear. He didn't recommend any treatment , didn't recommend physical therapy; didn't recommend RICE, didn't recommend a knee brace, nothing. Just told me to go home; continue normal activity and if it's still bothering me in 3 months we'll address it then. I came home; read up that meniscus tears don't get better on their own. There should be rehab (PT) at a minimum. So I called the office and talked with his assistant and discussed my concerns about not being sent to a PT. Only then did she say she would call a PT center and arrange for me to go. I haven't heard from her since. I won't be returning.

Dr Longenecker is absolutely at the top of my long list of doctor's for being one of the absolute BEST, and after a spinal cord injury many years ago, being diagnosed with COPD and emphysema in 2013, and many other health issues. I went to see him for my shoulder, I found out that I need a total shoulder replacement, which is very scary when you're 63 yrs old, and the whole idea of another surgery, kicked my anxiety into full gear, thank God for Dr Longenecker, after only a few minutes into my visit, put me at ease. He is the kindest, most caring and has the BEST bedside manner that I have seen in some time. BTW people, when you review a doctor, you are reviewing that doctor and ONLY that doctor, not the staff or your long wait time, etc that has absolutely NOTHING to do personally, with that particular doctor! If you want to review the staff, office procedures, etc you should put that in the practice's review, NOT the individual doctor. When you review the wait time, staff or anything that's not about the particular doctor, you are hurting his rating, and that's not very fair now, is it??? Would you want people to think of you, based on your neighbors, family or friends or how long it takes them to do something???? Dr Longenecker is a kind, patient orthopedic doctor. He took me in quickly with an emergency and had his nurse hold my hand during a difficult series of injections. I appreciate him so much.

I have been a patient of Dr. Longenecker for more than 2years and have always found him to be personable as well as a gifted physician. As a former athletic and fitness enthusiaust cutting edge technology and advanced skills are a must. I am not really very excited that I have sat here for 1 and half hours past my appointment time.

Knee replaced, hip replaced Knee was a great experience. Hip is a struggle. Compared to other doctors, he cares more than most.

In April, 1987 I was in a head on automobile collision that shattered my right ankle. I ended up with 24 screws and one plate to patch it all together. Dr. Longnecker was my doctor in the emergency room. In surgery the next day he showed me that he had not accepted the first set he had Done because it was just off. He went back and improved it. I am forever grateful for his care that day. At the time removable casts were unheard of. I had one of the first in Jacksonville. So many years later I am still mobile and agile. I can do just about anything I want. He had forecast I would have arthritis so bad I would be able to forecast the weather. Sorry Dr. Stanton, you were wrong. I have very mild arthritis as far as discomfort goes. I have been through numerous physical therapy over the years and now regularly do Pilates. I am forever grateful for Dr. Stanton’s care and attention to my injury. And yes I still ride horses. Mary Summers now Farr.

Dr. Longenecker himself is fantastic. He explains the process and has a fantastic mannerism. However, his Scheduling Coordinator, Mindy, will not return calls, says she has done something, but to come to find out by contacting who she was suppose to contact, the contact was never done. A courtesy phone call only takes two minutes to complete. She did not provide that. If you can’t multi-task in a doctors office, it might be time to seek other employment. Now the patient involved in this episode has been in limbo for three months and in severe pain. Due to Mindy’s failure to conduct due deligence, other opportunities have been initiated with faster medical service.

Dr. Longenecker rebuilt my left knee back in 1989, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, in Jacksonville, FL. A previous surgeon had attempted to "fix" my knee, which had been injured during an on-the-job accident, and had really screwed my knee up. Dr. Longenecker honestly told me, "I can't 100% promise you a complete, total fix, but I'll do my best". He did. He did an absolutely wonderful job and I was able to get on with my life, go back to school and become a Registered Respiratory Therapist. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Longenecker, but I can honestly say that I will never, ever forget his hard work, dedication, kindness and compassion that he gave me when he fixed my knee. When I see his picture today, I see that same kindness that I remember in his smile. After all these years, Dr. Longenecker, if you read this......I still remember you well and hope that you are keeping well and still helping folks like me. You are a gem and a helluva doctor!!! From diagnosis, prep op, operation, post op and rehab, I only have praise for the wonder of Dr. Longnecker and his team. Professional, caring and knowledgeable, Longenecker has brought me back to the athletic woman I used to be.Perfect results, no pain, due to Dr. Ed Lee femoral nerve block and spinal, back in the gym after one month, with an ACL reconstruction and graft. So pleased. Minimal swelling, no pain meds needed and fully functional. Thank you!!!!

By far one of the best doctors Ive ever met He replaced both my knees and one hip. I would recommend him and have recommended him for years. I have never had a problem.

I went to see Dr. Longenecker on August 15, 2013. He was kind, gentle, caring. He took time to explain everything to me. He even has his assistant come in and hold my hand during my injections. I did not try to convince me of surgery first. He suggested injections, wait 3 months, wait and see. I would recommend Dr. Longenecker to everyone I know.
