It is disturbing that the appointment desk refused to make a follow-up appointment to discuss a catheter procedure, pushing out to 4 months when we were told it was urgent. They were quite rude about it, and said we could only speak to the NP. Now we're constantly getting calls to schedule the procedure and ignoring out request, which the patient has allot of complications which we'd like to discuss. I have been trying to get a simple question answered for over 2 months on mychart (the portal they told me to use) and no one has responded. I even made an in person appointment with a PA and they didn't know the answer but said they would follow-up. I paid $350 to get that question answered and have yet to receive a follow-up.

Dr. Wang's team are all so compassionate with a highly level of expertise and professionalism. I have complete faith in this medical team to provide top quality care.

Dr. Wang is kind and a good doctor, but you will be lucky if his staff acknowledges you after an appointment (besides William, he was great), or returns your phone calls or follows up with you medically. It has been a month and still cannot get ahold of anyone after multiple emails and phone calls.

Dr Wang treated my heart condition. He showed great care for patient. One of the best doctors I've ever had.

Dr Wang ordered a sleep study for me that turned out to be $3200 via Heart Hospital of Austin and his office never once briefed me on the cost and only vaguely explained the purpose. Then, after multiple calls and a hand delivered letter to his office (because nobody in his office would raise my issues), I received no call backs, no emails, no contact whatsoever from his office in 10 days. Compassion may be the buzzword of his service, but ignoring the patient and "we're too busy to deal with patient problems" is the reality. Be forewarned, Dr Wang's smile and concern of your initial visit will not match his staff's and by extension his reaction if there is a problem, you'll be on you own. Good luck

Dr. Wang immediately listened to my concerns, took the time to explain my diagnosis in terms that I could understand, and then my treatment plan going forward. I was also impressed by the efficiency of his office and how helpful everyone was in assisting me. I feel very confident that I am receiving the best care possible.

I've been seeing Dr. Wang for my apnea for several years. I've found him to be knowledgeable, patient friendly, always professional and helpful...just what I need in a doctor!

Even in the middle of COVID19 pandemic, I felt welcomed by the staff of Austin Heart at Western Trails. The staff were nice and responsive, conducting a EKG and medical history quickly and without fuss. When I first met Dr. Wang, which was by FaceTime due to Covid, I felt like we connected, which is a bit of a rarity online. He listened to my concerns, got a detailed family history, and quickly came up with a course of action. He was knowledgable, and just generally seemed like a nice guy. Thumbs up

Dr. Wang makes me feel like family. He is kind, attentive and a very good listener. I never feel like he is in a hurry to get out the door. I wish all my doctors were just like him. My husband is also his patient and actually likes going to see Dr. Wang.

Dr. Wang was great. He answered all of my questions and was very easy to talk to. Dr. Wang was very responsive. When I needed my bi-pap machine adjusted he and his team helped me get it adjusted without me needing to come in again. The whole team was very helpful.

I have been seeing Dr. Wang 2 years for all my cardio and CPAP problems and highly recommend him. I am using CPAP more than 10 years but still had many apnea events and air leaking issues. Dr. Wang resolved these issues when the first time I saw him. He is very clear and informative, takes care of my heart/BP problems and needs, answers all my questions and has a great manner. Dr Wang is always on time, willing to listen to your story and answers your questions. He goes over your tests and interprets the results.

As with every visit to Dr. Wang, he was on time, and prepared to discuss my condition. He had reviewed my most recent test results and was prepared to ask relevant questions. We discussed an upcoming procedure I was having and the implications of those results. I have never had better care or been so confident that I am receiving the best possible care. When I first started seeing Dr. Wang I ran into him in a local food store he not only remembered my name but he also gave me a quick check-up in the store. In my previous 70 years that had never happened before. I would have been shocked if any other doctor had remembered my name. I couldn't give any higher recommendation. If you live anywhere in central Texas and are in need of a cardiologist you need not look any further.

Dr. Wang is very personable! He is an interested and responsive listener. He is also very kind and through. I have recommended him with confidence to other family members and friends.

Dr. Wang is always very conscious of my time, first and foremost. However even if he is running behind (20 min max), he provides a thorough exam. He listens carefully and provides supportive information which makes me feel I’m receiving solid treatment.

I've been a patient of Dr. Wang's for several years now and couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention he has given. Heart disease runs in my family so I am grateful to have a doctor that is so knowledgeable and caring.

In my opinion, Dr. Wang is the best cardiologist in Austin. He is very smart, knowledgeable, and has excellent communication skills. I feel that he really has an active interest in my health and well-being. I totally trust his professional opinions regarding my health and I highly recommend him.

Dr Wang is a lovely person and a very good doctor. He listens, he discusses, he treats without being pushy or judgmental. My only negative is that it is practically impossible to change an appointment expecting to reschedule within a short time frame.

I went to Dr. Wang for my annual checkup. As usual, I met a friendly and professional receptionist, who called the nurse who was doing my preliminary workup. She was friendly, knowledgeable and fast, which I liked. Then Dr. Wang came to do the follow-up and no doctor could be nicer. He is smart as a whip and also has a charming bedside manner. I would not go anywhere else if my problem related to the heart.

Dr. Wang manner is kind and caring and professional in every way. He listens, informs and recommends is ways that clearly demonstrate is real concern for his patient's well-being. His cheerful and encouraging style is refreshing and very encouraging. It is always a pleasure to meet with him.

Appointment reminders were a big help and they keep to the appointment time. Dr. Wang listened to my questions and gave thoughtful complete answers. I am very comfortable in this clinic setting and always leave feeling like my time has been well spent.

Dr. Wang is a excellent cardiologist. He took time to listen to me and had lots of patience with me. I never felt rushed. I was very impressed he took the time to explain next steps to me and answer all of my questions. I was seen on a Saturday and was very grateful for my Saturday appointment.

I am an orthopaedic surgeon who first met Stan while he helped the state organization of doctors , the TMA. His intelligence and natural leadership impressed me. I chose him to be my cardiologist because he is a “doctor’s doctor”.Stan is a good listener. He always gives me good advice based on the latest science. I totally trust him. I also know the quality of his group for back up in emergencies.

Without a doubt, I would recommend Dr. Wang. He is well informed and takes his patients well being very seriously. I currently see him once a year for a check up & preventative care. My experience has been a positive one.

Since my relationship to Austin Heart and the professionals there has always been reasonably scheduled I have had no urgent appointments so I did not rate that below. This clinic is well organized and run professionally. The people there from receptionists to technicians to physicians understand their role and their expertise is manifested in their performance. I always leave with a certainty that I have been well served by medical professionals that know what they are doing.

Visited the office of Dr. Wang for my sleep apnea. Explained to him I am also a heart patient with prosthetic heart valves. He didn't even bother examining me. He wants me to go for sleep study even though I've given him my sleep results from less than a year ago and I am on Auto-BiPap. Asked him through messaging on his portal to write to me and justify the necessity of sleep study twice already. No replies. I will look for a more caring doctor in my area. It is extremely frustrating to be struggling with undiagnosed health issues only to be bounced around from one medical specialist to another, each reducing me to test results then passing me on to the next specialist. When I was referred to Dr. Wang, I had resigned myself to the same clinical treatment I had received from other medical specialists. In our intake appointment, I offhandedly expressed my frustration to Dr. Wang. Instead of the anticipated canned responses, I was pleasantly surprised that he listened with compassion and genuine interest. I felt like I was talking to a human being. He made an effort to understand my health issues and not just the lab results. It impressed me that perhaps there are still doctors who care for their patients as people and not a series of numbers to eliminate symptoms. I was relieved to have been referred to Dr. Wang. While I am no longer in his care, it has given me hope in the humanity in the medical profession. I highly recommend him.

I love my hear doctor Stanley Wang--he listens, soft spoken, polite and knows his job very well. I had a heart test done and requested an appointment his office squeezed me in and got to see him same day--it was more for my peace of mind--he read my report and said will see the results and go from there--told him my blood pressure meds made me gain weight he changed them and said let me know how you feel--I am so glad I went to him-AWESOME DOCTOR!

Terrible experience. No communication about results of testing. Then failed to file insurance correctly causing it to go to collections when insurance pays timely to all other physicians. Then refused to refile insurance correctly. Seriously the worst physician practice of any kind I've ever experienced.

Recently my cardiologist Dr Wetherold moved to the Heart Hospital at 38th St. I had originally planned to go the extra mile to keep her as my cardiologist, as she is an awesome doctor. However, it's a great distance for me so I decided to stay with Austin Heart South and I'm very happy I did. Dr Stanley Wang was just as thorough and caring as Dr Wetherold. I have no compliants as far as Dr Wang goes, but his office staff is another story. I Have made 3 calls to try to get my medication refilled and all I get is the run around. First they tell me they called my pharmacy to get my pills refilled which was a lie. Then they tell me it takes 24 hours to send my refills to the pharmacy. So I got mad and I'm going to see another cardiologist not to mention I will be without my medication for a week. Nice people! Dr. Stanley Wang has been my cardiologist and sleep doctor for over five years. He is extremely professional, attentive, and takes the time to explain things in laymen terms.There are plenty of good doctors out there, but few great ones who truly listen to and care for his patients as much as Dr. Wang.
