Had surgery with my OB/GYN at Summerlin Hospital. Maity seen me the next day in the hospital. She is not my doctor and is not contracted with my insurance. Now I have a bill from her. Why was I seen from her of she is not contracted with my insurance. I went to a hospital that my insurance is contracted with.
Dr Maity is a fantastic doctor who has a fantastic bedside manner and tells it like it is.
Dr Maity was my hospitalist for 8 days following spinal surgery and complications. She restored my faith in hospitalists. My care was managed carefully, thoroughly, professionally and compassionately by Dr Maity, from the smallest to the most significant detail. Absolutely nothing escaped her. She was accessible and responsive to the nurses, and me, too. I found her to be an exceptional and caring physician and person. Launa, RN

How is this woman still practicing? It took her 24 hours after i was admitted to come see me. She first did a phone call to go over essentials and then basically appeared in person for 38 seconds to show me she was real. As I started to ask questions, she interrupted me and said we could do that later by phone. She never once asked questions about the events or context leading up to my hospital admission, she was dismissive of my questions. When it came time for her to deliver my diagnosis (severe spinal canal stenosis), she chose to sit in the chair behind my bed so I had to strain my neck. As I tearfully asked more questions, she yelled “you have a bad spine” and left. I had to look on the Mayo Clinic site to understand that my pain was due to lumbar puncture headache and I should stay well hydrated. She forgot to sign my prescription so I could only use the on site pharmacy. This doctor is awful and borderline negligent. Request a different doctor if you get her!!!
Wow how is this woman still practicing? All the reviews I've seen elsewhere completely match my experience. Please trust that my review is already tempered with compassion due to the current Coronavirus situation, but it sounds like Dr Maity has been this way well before now. It took her 24 hours after i was admitted to come see me. She first did a phone call to go over essentials and then basically appeared in person for 38 seconds to show me she was real. As I started to ask questions, she interrupted me and said we could do that later by phone. She never once asked questions about the events or context leading up to my hospital admission. She started answering my questions before I finished them, meaning she did not listen to a word I was saying. When it came time for her to deliver my diagnosis (severe spinal canal stenosis), she chose to sit in the chair behind my bed so I had to strain my neck (there was a perfectly good one in front of me that the neuro consult used, but it was plastic so I assume Dr Maity chose her comfort). When I was in tears asking a few more questions, she yelled âyou have a bad spine!â and walked out the door saying she had other places to be. The nurse was there to witness. I was stunned. This was all new to me, I was fearful and alone. To say she has poor bedside manners is an understatement. When my neck pain was so bad that I couldnât stand up, I finally looked up on the Mayo Clinic site that 25% of people who get spinal taps can have lumbar puncture headaches for up to a week. When I asked her this, she said yes. I then googled that i needed to stay hydrated. Why the hell is she not telling me this?? This is borderline negligence. I told her I wanted her removed from my case and a new Attending assigned, even though I was to be discharged the next day. But she didnât and just processed my papers. You know her final parting f-up? She didnât sign my prescription so I had to return to the on site pharmacy to get it filled since off site couldnât. This woman needs to retire. Please get yourself reassigned if you get her!!! P.s. the nursing staff were lovely

Very rude, has terrible bedside manners and has no idea what empathy is. I have no idea why she's a doctor if she has no idea how to treat people or even has the capacity to be able to understand why people go to a hospital.
Dr. Maity's bedside manner is absolutely terrible. She was rude and in a hurry. She did not take the time to answer our questions. Instead of giving us helpful information she chose to tell us she was not god (which was rather obvious to us anyways). She called the wrong relative to give personal information, leaving the one with the medical power of attorney for Mom's healthcare decisions in the dark. If I could give her 0 stars I would. I had Dr. Maity at Summerlin hospital. I went in for chest pain, trouble breething, dizziness and other things. After HOURS in the ER She finally came to see me and tell me it was just muscle pain. Ok... They did still keep me and run tests. They concluded nothing wrong with my heart and she decided to send me home. When she came in to tell me the stuff was fine she completely IGNORED my concerns and questions. Like, how does the muscle pain make me dizzy and unable to breathe? This is not the actual problem yet she had no interest in trying to find out what it was. She would not make eye contact with me, she talked DOWN to me as if I was second rate. The fact that she ignored my questions, that was just too much. I would never recommend anyone to this Dr, and if this is how she treats her normal patients I feel very bad for them. I have been home for less than 24 hours and still cannot even change a load of laundry without getting dizzy and out of breath, but its just muscle pain right? Horrible, worst Dr. I have ever experienced. I had Dr. Maity at Summerlin hospital. I went in for chest pain, trouble breething, dizziness and other things. She was working as the ER Dr when I went in recently. After over 5 hours of not seeing a Dr, she came in spent less than 4 min with me. Never really spoke directly TO me but to my husband instead, dismissed my concerns. Admitted me anyway for a bunch of tests. When she came back to let me go home she again IGNORED my concerns and questions. She was extremely rude, and I am leaving the hospital with no answers as to why Im getting dizy and junk she says its just muscle pain. HORRIBLE!!
At first, she looks a nice doctor with a nice smile. However, I had four appointments and she never really examined my body and signs at all. Only asked for my worries and, if I was not able to tell her for how long I had felt it, she would say that is not an answer. And not in a very nice mood. Besides, she only give prescriptions by appointment and do not dare to forget one, you will have to ask for an appointment or wait until you have one. Office is poor in medial tools and devices. I regard myself a profesional patient because of my ailments and because I am an informed cancer patient who have been under the care of excellent doctors in Hospital of University of Pennsylvania and University of Chicago.. Believe me, she is not a good Dr. To me, is pretty much below average. Ah, you cannot pay by credit card,. At first, she looks a nice doctor with a nice smile. This dr abruptly and significantly reduced my pain medication a day after a kidney removal with no notification. Then ordered me to walk prior to my next dosage which made my pain level spike.
