Dr. Sleman A Khoury

Usually no problems. Staff is great! But coming back from vacation, you should never overbook appts. People are waiting almost 2 hours for their appts., if not longer. No one should have to wait that long!! Office management is needed here!

Worst doctor never helped my mom and acted like she was wasting his time.

BE VERY CAREFUL. Dr. Sleman Khoury was treating my 82 year old mother-in-law who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. During her cancer treatment, she was diagnosed with diabetes. This doctor did NOT care about the medical treatment or has bedside manners. 1) he lectured her because the glucose needle was ruining her finger tips. So, he prescribed her a glucose that is for younger people with active lives. My recommendation? He should READ the INTEDEND USE and PATIENT POPULATION for this device. 2) I pointed out how one of the known side effects of the insulin he prescribed her was for weight loss. While she was battling losing weight for the cancer. After doing some clinical investigation research on this drug that is available to anyone in the medical industry? It is currently being reviewed to expand the intended use for weight loss. RED FLAGS: he does not listen to patients NOR asks questions. She lost significant weight and was looking extremely frail. 3) based on this feedback, it was clear that he was NOT reviewing her tests she was doing daily. After I recommended a doctor in the Ann Arbor area with good reviews and feedback, she feels 100% better and confident that her NEW endocrinologist actually knows what she is doing. She reduced the MIL insulin and took her off the prescription the weight loss type 2 medication that she did NOT need. You should ALWAYS shop for a doctor like you would a car or house. Not all doctors are equal. Especially if they do not continuously learn within their area of specialty. Diabetes needs to be monitored closely, so the physician can adjust the insult prescription. Which is the WHOLE purpose of having routine doctor visits. Clearly, he is not using these routine visits to monitor anything except collecting insurance billing and finding 'elder' medical needs an huge inconvenience from our personal experience.

Dr Khoury (dad or daughter) both take a great time to explain my conditions thoroughly and I do not leave feeling like stuff was missed. They don't rush in particular (not to say they're slow, I just don't feel the pressure to hurry). They helped stabilize my hormones and diagnosed me with rare conditions, thank you guys for helping me when nobody else could/would.

Dr Lhoury always does a fantastic job to explain my rare conditions. I can't find people who have experience with my conditions, but Khoury could help when nobody else could. I highly recommend seeing Dr khoury for Amy endocrinologist needs! A wise man and daughter who have a have wealth of knowledge and a kind heart as well.

When I needed an Endocrinologist due to thyroid issues Dr. Khoury and his daughter were recommended by 6 different people. He is kind and considerate of his patients and very good and trustworthy at what he does. I got recommended to an excellent surgeon for a thyroidectomy and my follow up with Dr. Khoury is excellent. I have already recommended my daughter. Top notch

I love both doctors here! They have been there for appointment needs and followup labs as prompted or requested due to medical changes. I was able to bring a relative there to start as a new patient as well. Worked out very well and staff are great! Their very good at their jobs. Highly recommended!

Both doctors Nadia and Sleiman have provided the best care. I've been a patient for 3 years, they've helped with my overall health not just my thyroid issues. Diet, excercise, sleep, and mental health are all addressed during my appointments making sure I am following up with other doctors when needed. Really appreciate them!

Very interesting that the message system is unavailable to any current patient to leave a message. The "wait for attendant" button is useless. You will hear music and "your call is very important" for ten minutes and then phone cuts off. I wasted at least two hours in 10 minute increments on various days attempting to speak to the attendant!! I finally pressed the "new patient" button and received call back a day or so later. However, caller ID said it was from a private caller. Of course, I do not answer calls from "private callers" and with no number available by the time I heard the message, the office was closed. This was a Friday and my return call was made just before noon. Therefore, no way to cancel or change an appointment. Absolutely ridiculous system. I have been a patient of Dr. Khoury now since 2016 and have had a great experience with their staff and services. They always answer my questions and aren't afraid to tell me the things I need to hear.

Dr. Sleman Khoury is a great Endocrinologist. He is very thorough and kind. I am confident now that my medical issues will be thoroughly identified and resolved. The office staff members were kind and thorough as well.

Having a rare endocrine disease is hard enough, but finding a physician who is willing to dig for thorough results is difficult. Dr. Khoury spent time reviewing records from previous surgeries and doctors to develop a plan of care. He was able to adjust when insurance dictated it and was pleasant when doing so. Excellent, old school doctor!

I was not a fan of this office. Have an after hours line to call. But answered very rudely each time.

I love Mr. Khoury and I have had nothing but the best experiences with him. Sadly his counter help and daughter are some of the rudest and non professional health care workers I have ever come in contact with. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Thanks for being awesome Dr. khoury I will miss your kindness and helpfulness.

My first time there ....the place was old looking and the receptionist was kinda rude but Dr. Nadia Khoury was very understanding and wanted to help me with my Thyroid problem which caused me to continue to visit. On my second visit Dr. Sleman Khoury came in and was very rude and condescending. He blamed me for consuming 3000 calories and thus the reason why I was fat. Yes he said that.. when I became upset for him to accuse me of something that I don't do...he said well you are lying. Very insensitive individual. Very thorough visit, even did a biopsy in clinic. Fast , no waiting too long. Nice staff. Excellent.

Today was my first consult with Dr. Sleman Khoury. I am a health professional and was very impressed with the entire patience and caring attitude I was shown. His knowledge, humor and direction was greatly appreciated. I am glad that I came for the consult.

They took time with me and Dr. Sleman Khoury did a biopsy in the office to send to a special lab to verify if my cells are benign or not. Both doctors were very friendly and approachable. I've been a patient here now for a few month's. I never regret coming here. Good communication, the education they give you, and care for patients are what both doctors are all about! If i could i would do no stars. I have called this place 4 times and all times left a voicemail to schedule an appointment. Never heard back each time and cannot get ahold of anyone. I call and get immediately their voicemail...

Just awful, both myself and my husband have been given the run around at this office (me on 2 separate occasions) All of the receptionists are so disorganized they can't find a referral to save them. Told me he "didn't know what he was going to do with me" in regards to my diabetes because I'm a complicated case. Told me he was going to call in a prior authorization because my insurance wouldn't cover it anyway. New doctor got it covered. When Dr. Khoury realized l was seeing said new doctor, he called my pharmacy and deactivate my refills on my prescriptions. His office looks like 1984 decor. And you can never get ahold of office staff with questions or to make/ cancel appointment. Wish l could give him 0 stars. Take time to know you and you many issues.

Both doctors are extremely good. They listen, any questions you have, they answer. I had something going on w my body, I was scared. Dr. Khoury explained everything & after getting bloodwork, helped me to get my body & health back on track!! Ive lost 85lbs. In a year. 5 stars! Excellent

If you are looking for excellent, knowledgeable, caring doctors, Drs. Khouri are an excellent choice. If, on the other hand you judge your doctor by the office decor or staff, you may miss out on some good care. The office is plain, no frills, not trendy, but it is warm and clean. I have been a patient here for many years and have seen both Sleman and Nadia for diabetes management. The wait times have come down a lot since Nadia joined the practice a while ago. They have helped me manage my condition well. Without them I would not be in such good shape controlling my blood sugars. They both have good advice on how to help with certain struggles I have had. They have given me better understanding of my condition and helped me to use my pump to better manage my condition. They have been by my side helping me take care of myself. If you are going to them for diabetes then you need to take control and understand your condition, they have helped me because I manage diabetes aggressively with their advice. My husband and I are both patients at this office and Dr. Khoury has always been good with us. He is very straight to the point and doesn't sugar coat anything which to us is perfectly fine. Some people consider that rude but we prefer it actually. There is no reason to be beat around the bush in regards to medical issues. Been Seeing Dr. Sleman Khoury for many many years (thyroid issues), only seen his daughter once, lets remember she was NEW to the practice, she has since developed her bedside manner, she is much friendlier now (was just all business before)...she just needed time and a chance! Many of the negative employee remarks and wait times are a NON issues any Longer. Both doctors are Very knowledgeable and an asset to their branch of medicine. I did not have a good experience with the "daughter" Nadia khoury I only saw him once then it was her every time and she was very rude and treated me like I was bothering her! I have never had a doctor behave like her...I will never go back to that place ever!! Long time in between appointments I did not feel better at all just worse! They were more concerned with payment at a time when I was suffering with hyperthyroidism ( Graves' disease ) I cannot recommend going to her for any reason. I have been seeing Dr. Sleman Khoury for several years with no problems. I do NOT like seeing his daughter, Dr. Nadia Khoury, as I find her to be abrupt and rude (which is why the 4 stars instead of 5)

He acted as though I was bothering him, like I jad walked into his livingroom. He did not talk to me. I was not fond of this doctor and will be looking for a better doctor. He spent time not talking to me but into a mic for his computer. Mumbled to himself but only asked if I had blood work done and for a record of blood sugar readings. Not involved with the patient.

Did a thyroid biopsy in his office on me and my mom had to assist. I was swollen and in pain for weeks. Terrible experience!

I learned more about my diseases in one visit than I did in many years at my previous doctor. I really appreciated that he listened and I was able to ask questions. The office staff were very efficient and although not brimming with enthusiasm, they were polite and respectful. My wait time was only a half an hour which they apologized for. I was floored by that since I used to wait at least an hour and a half at my previous endo. I couldn't have made a better decision than to switch.

Both of Drs. are very nice. Their receptionist and insurance coordinator have MAJOR attitude problems. They talk over you. They are extremely rude. They talk down to you, and they act like you are an inconvenience. The way that they spoke to me was deplorable. I let the doctor know that I would not be returning to their office because of the way that I was treated. I am a mother of three small children. I am a full time student at University of Michigan-Dearborn. I work way to hard to be treated and talked to the way that they spoke to me. Both of Drs. are very nice. Dr. Khoury is very compassionate and concerned about how you are feeling. He helped me when other doctors said I was fine and didn't dig for answers and more tests like Dr.Khoury did. I have been going to him for about 8 years now and have also seen his daughter Nadia who is great as well. I highly recommend him and his office who are also very helpful.

He listens to me, he did appropriate tests, I have been going to him since 2006, wouldn't go to anyone else except his daughter who is very good too. I am so glad I found him, he saved my life.
