Sivakami Thayu

I have been her patient for many years, and she is one of the most compassionate, kindest internists ever encountered. She’s very intelligent, knows what to follow up on and can prioritize admirably. Very kind, intelligent. She’s very booked up so it’s difficult to schedule appointments. Often I’ve had to wait months to get in to see her, plan to schedule early before problems occur as you won’t get in immediately. .

Very difficult to get in to see Dr. Thayu, appts a couple months out. Hv bn seeing her NP.

Dr. Thayu saved my life. She insisted I go to the hospital for a stat CT saying that she was suspicious I had a life threatening perforated intestine- and she was right. I ended up being hospitalized for a week; and am alive today because of her saying what needed to be said to get past my stubbornness.

We’ve been going to Dr. Thayu for many years. I believe her method of caring and medical procedure is very professional and caring. It’s difficult to make an appointment to see her on occasion. A referral she sent me to was ‘difficult’. Other than that, I’m a big fan. She’s pretty wonderful.

Now I can say Dr.Thayu is one of a kind..Thank you so much for taking care of me...God bless you more.

I thank God that I have Dr. Thayu. She listen and she goes the extra mile. I was having issues and we couldn't figure out what it was but she kept at it and found the issue. She saved my life. We caught it early and about to hit my 5th year. Thank you Dr. Thayu.

Dr thayu has a great bedside manner . Yes she is busy but if they find it Necessary to come in she makes things work out. She listens she’s one of the best primaries I have ever had

Stay away from this doctor and this practice for your own good. The doctors at this office failed my mother for many years. When I found out, it was too late. My mother's untreated medical conditions led to a major lifechanging stroke. The medical records showed that Dr. Thayu and her office had all the information they needed to treat her condition and try to prevent the major stroke. Even when I called and spoke to the doctor through her staff months before the stroke after reviewing my mother's test results which showed a history of ministrokes, and asked about my mother's continued high blood pressure and questioned why she was not on medication, I was told not to worry about it and to just "log her blood pressure." Hindsight is 20/20. Do not trust these people.

Make sure they tell you whether your insurance is in-network BEFORE you schedule an appointment.

Dr Thayu is a great doctor. She listens and takes her time adressing all my concerns. I feel I'm in good hands. So glad to have found her!

Dr. Thayu is a wonderful doctor, absolutely the best one I found in the northern suburbs of Chicago! She is intelligent, personable, actually cares about you - spends quality time with you, and works to help you feel better. I truly could not ask for a better physician. She is fantastic!

Great doctor but the practice itself is terrible. I can no longer deal with the front office here. The lack of servic is awful. It's a shame, cause she really is a great doctor. The office issues I have all relate to the poor office staff, which I'm guessing is a Good Shepherd issue. To be specific, the phones are never answered, and I had a surgery scheduled and trying to get the paperwork out of their office was an absolute headache.

My experience with Dr Thayu has been great. I was "assigned" to her when my previous Dr (and good friend) retired. I couldn't be more pleased with her and the care she provides for me and my family. She is more than willing to listen to my concerns and answer any questions I may have. I never feel rushed during my appointments with her and she has been very responsive when we phone her with a question or request a prescription refill/renewal. She provides great medical care.

I had heard nice things about her so when I needed to change doctors, I decided to go with her. What a mistake! For the year I have been with her, she has not treated me for a single issue but has referred me to 6 different "specialists". I had a sinus infection. I don't like to take antibiotics but I was suffering and asked for some. She refused and referred me to an ENT. There was a 6 week wait she couldn't help me to get in sooner. I will not go back to her and have changed to a new physician

Dr. Thayu is a good listener and has helped me work thru various health issues without being radical. I enjoy seeing her because I know that my questions will not go unanswered.

Since our family Dr. retired we have seen three different doctors before discovering Dr. Thayu. Listens, reacts, considers, and gives answers. Dr. Thayu and her nurse Jenn are very personable. Blood drawn across the hall with another group of amazing gals. Very satisfied with whole scenario at this office.

Because of Dr Thayu, my husband is alive today. In a regular office visit, while listening to my husband's chest, she found an abnormality. She sent him to a heart specialist. He ended up having a triple bypass and a replacement valve and 2 valves cleaned. Dr Thayu is a wonderful doctor. We were her patients in Fox River Grove and followed her to Lake Zurich. She is easy to talk to and pays attention to everything you say. I cannot say enough good things about her.
