Simon Melnick

Dr. Melnick replaced my previous dr. that retired. I went for my first visit to him in March. I was supposed to have a physical, he did not give me one. I don’t think he pulled up any of my records before seeing me. I had told him I went to hospital the previous week, they said I had an upper respiratory infection. He asked if I smoked, I said yes, maybe a pack a day. He then said you have COPD, I am going to prescribe you a daily inhaler. He was also going to set up a CAT scan. He never gave me a test for COPD. He said I know you have it and I know I’m right rudely. Never had any tests, he never even asked if I’ve ever had respiratory infections before which I have not. He never asked if I get winded climbing stairs, walking, etc. no questions at all Just said he is right. I switched doctors. He was rude and is assuming I have COPD with zero tests. I do not recommend him at all.

Not a good visit. He is a prescription pusher. He does not take the time to talk to you. If you have a condition that you need Iron . You start taking vitamins with 100 percent iron. He does not even look at them but wants you to have a prescription for iron pills before the blood work is done. I will be reporting him to the medical board.

Dr. Melnick, treated me and members of my family more than once. Each time it was a good experience. He typically spends time needed for making well-informed diagnosis and/or proper procedure, while I've never felt rushed. In many cases second visit wasn't required. Dr. Melnick is polite and straight-forward with his patients. I've recommended Dr. Melnick to many people and I would highly recommend him here to anyone reading this.

My experience with Dr. Melnick was a life changing experience. It's a perfect experience. It's how every doctor visit should be for anyone. He will tell you everything that's going on with you. Where other doctors will say nothing and won't care for evaluating you completely. I believe from the greatness of his heart that he cares for his patients and gives them a thorough, precise and professional description of what's really going on. Answers all questions. The best doc ever!

I worked with Dr Melnick for 16 yrs, he is a great diagnostic doctor. Dr Melnick, has many specialties, and is professional at all times. I don’t know why there are a couple of one star reviews, but maybe they were looking for something they didn’t need. Dr Melnick is my family doctor and my daughter also goes to him. He has years of experience and you are in good hands with him. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Melnick is very personable, understanding, and most importantly- calming. Dr. Melnick is very good at explaining his diagnosis and makes sure I understand everything. The good doctor has become the doctor of my family and many of my friends. Highly recommended!

Dr. Melnick has been my primary care physician for several years. He is exceptionally talented, caring, insightful and knowledgeable. Whether the guidance he shares is simple or complex, he is able to translate it into language that is easy to understand and digest. In my book, Dr. Melnick is A+.

Poor communication. 2 calls and 2 days before a call back and then they wanted me to go for a test that I had already done. A 3rd call and no call back or clarification on why I should get the same test again. Not sure if the staff are the direct problem but ultimately it's Dr Melnick's responsibility. Changing PCP.

Charter Care 4300 POST RD E GREENWICH RI, DR SIMON MELNICK, DR LEACH & MORE

Dr. Melnick is unprofessional, rude, careless. He didn’t even listen to the main reasons why I was at the UC. I started off telling him how I had the flu but am over it now and then he interrupted me. He gave me an unneccesary flu swab, but no CXR to r/o pneumonia for my sharp chest pain & breathing trouble. He did not even listen to my heart. He raised his voice and told me I wasted his time and cost of materials for my flu check. He prescribed me an abx & poss serious ADR to another med I take

Dr melnik kicked me out of his office after I asked him why he said and i quote, " i don't have time to look at your medical history". I was in search of a new primary Dr strictly because my childhood dr stopped accepting my medical insurance. I am an extremely depressed person with high anxiety .i left this office crying and in pain and 10 times worse off mentally than when i walked in. if anything will trigger a mentality ill person that type of treatment will

He insisted I take a medication that made me very ill. I ended in the ER twice and the doctors told me to stop the medication and find another PCP. Even my surgeon told me the same thing. I found that Melnick lied to the ER about my medical history when he hadn't even consulted with my doctors where I lived prior to moving to RI. He insisted he knew what he was doing because he managed his own pain, something a doctor should never do. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Doctor Melnik always takes time with his patients. He is very easy to talk to and informative amazing at diagnostic!. Dr Melnik truly treats every patient as if they were his own family. He is visiting his patients in a hospitals after procedures.
