I'd give him 10 stars. He changed my entire life with my second opinion and his treatment plan, and not allowing another institution to over treat me. He's very direct, thorough in his explanations, and also had a good, appropriate sense of humor.

I came to you for help in September 2018 for with my wife cancer. We requested you do a PET scan you told us that was unnecessary and said CT scan will detects everything.You also redicule her by loudly joking how her air will be ball like my head after Chemo. I reported the problem to the hospital and was assured a new Dr. Will take over. I paid hotel for three week in Texas because I leave in Georgia .A CT scan was performed and was happy to learn days later from Another MD Anderson doctors: dr. Guanololo and her team doctors that no cancer was found and told us we can go back home to Georgia . We were very happy. We went back to our oncologist in Georgia and he recommend a PET scan be done a little over three months later. On January 02, 2018 a PET scan was done. They found cancer in 4 places in areas they told us were scar tissue. Patel is a devilish dr. Who shouldn't not be in medical practice. As we said before you are Mr. The Terrible. To all patients you should be very careful about Md Anderson doctors. They are not all good. Please fight for your loves one life. Call him Mr. The terrible. I traveled by plane from Atlanta, GA to Md Anderson cancer center Houston, Tx in hope of treatment. I paid 7 days hotel at Hyatt hotel. He wanted me to do chemo and I wanted beams proton as indicated on their web. He was very arrogant and did not gave me any chances to talk. He joked how my head will be bowl like my husband after kemo. His very toxic for Md Anderson reputation!

Came from Austin for a consultation. Dr. Patel explained the whole process from a 30,000 foot level to down in the weeds details. Felt very comfortable him giving the Austin doctors high marks for their treatment plan. Only downside was the wait time, my appt was at 2, I didn't see him until 430.
