Dr. Shravan Ambati

This man is a legend, helped me through my heart problems recommended catheter ablation and couldnt have went better, havent felt anymore since and the entry site are is super minimal like taking blood as he went in delicate and took the time to find the problem. So thank you for saving my life, keep doing what you do ????

I first met Dr. Ambati when I had my gallbladder surgery. At that time we discussed the possibility of ablation. Then COVID hit and everything was on hold for a long time. A subsequent TIA in 2020 prompted me to initiate contact again. Since that time Dr. Ambati has been my regular cardiologist and he has guided my care then. His expertise in cardiology has inured to my benefit on many occasions and I can readily attribute my improved health to his approach to my care. Above and beyond the call of duty. Dr. Ambati and his assistant are GREAT. Their explanations are clear and precise. They are both an ASSET to the Profession.

I have had a wonderful experience with the office staff, especially the front desk supervisor Matt. He was a huge help to me in getting the information I needed for an unrelated surgery. In addition we have always had wonderful treatment from the employees both front and back of the office. Very professional; caring and sweet. He can be a good professional but his team is very unreliable. They don’t answer phone calls. You can leave messages and they don’t return calls. I even sent emails and they don’t reply. All they care is the money. Don’t bring your loved ones here. Find a doctor who cares for patients.

Dr. Ambati is a good doctor but his staff is awful. Worst customer service I have ever had. I depend on my heart medication and have been trying to call for days to schedule an appointment because the doctor won’t refill it until I come in again. I’m at one day left off my heart meds, I’ll try calling at all times of day, I leave messages requesting an appointment. Do not go here if your life depends on your medication!! Dr. Ambati is good. His staff however bus just awful. I have called several times within the last 2 weeks and NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE! I LEFT ABOUT 8 voicemails and nobody has called me back! Mom needs her refills on pills! He is going to loose our business soon if his staff doesn't step it up!

Dr. Ambati is a wonderful doctor. The front staff; however, not so much. They are very unorganized and rude. They schedule appointments without notifying the patient and then call asking where they are. They schedule appointments on days that the doctor isn't even there. Then they schedule appointments with different doctors without telling the patient. Again, very unorganized. First off, I really want to say that I don't understand why people are giving bad reviews about the front staff; they have nothing to do with the doctor and how he performs. Anyways, Dr. Ambati has got to be one of the best cardiologists hands down. He has been my doctor for about 10-11 years now and is amazing at what he does! He has excellent bedside manner and he doesn't sugarcoat anything, but his delivery is coming from a place of caring. I have gone through numerous procedures with him and each time leading up to it, he talked about everything; the pros, the cons, the potential complications, recovery time, everything! If you need a cardiologist, look no further because this doctor is it! I've been through a few cardiologists before I met him, and none of them seemed to care ad much as he does! Went to his office had a 10 am appointment. Checked in at 10 am staff put me in a room . only to sit there and wait for 2 hours never to be seen. so I left as I was walk towards the door to exit passed by the whole staff, they didn't even see me walking out because they where in cubical's playing on the computer. a Sad state of affairs.

2 hour wait to see Dr. Staff told me this is his norm! AND, when seen by him the first time in Orlando East Advent Hospital, he had dropped one of my meds and added another. He wanted me to sched a f/u appt with him 2 weeks out. When I stayed nauseated & high BP, I called his office a week after my hospital stay. The MA wasn't concerned at all about my BP being so high & could only move my appt up by a few days. He only goes to the Orlando East hospital which is terrible too!!! 3 strikes & you're out, Dr. Ambati. 2 hour wait to see Dr. Staff told me this is his norm! Office is VERY BAD at returning phone calls, refilling prescriptions, doing anything over the phone. They also have taken forever to send any information requested by my moms primary care doctor. My mom is getting a new cardiologist and she sent them a request form over a month ago to have her medical records sent to the new cardiologist, and they have yet to do it. This is a reoccurring issue since my mom has been a patient. This is a serious safety issue! Dr Shravan Ambati is far more concerned with other things then taking time with the patient and understanding the issues at hand. Worst bedside manner I have seen in my entire life. No idea about the low reviews. His staff is average, DR.IS AMAZING..4 years after my ablation, I still sing his praises. Im in Daytona now but will only see dr.. ambati
