Dr. Shobhita Sundar

This doctor was enthusiastic to help me get to the bottom of my chronic illness years ago. She's awful now. Doesn't listen to me. Dictates into computer while I'm talking. Refers me to specialists who then refer me back to her. Ive had her investigated. Southcoast had Dr. Merport...a former colleague/coworker of Sundar do her internal investigation. I dont trust that at all. Southcoast is a corporate business that only cares about the almighty dollar. Its hard to find a reputable PCP these days. Sundar has lost her enthusiasm and ability to help those who are chronically ill. She's a burnt out, run of the mill who does generic testing and doesn't even want to critically think anymore. Im disgusted and depressed with the lack of caring and not listening not only from Sundar but some of Southcoast specialists as well. Time to retire, Sundar.

Dr. Sundar is always patient, professional, cordial and thorough with her patients. She always listens to my concerns and always gets to the source of any and all ailments. If she cannot pinpoint the source of an ailment, she will refer her patients to a specialist that can. She truly cares about her patients and this shows, in her kind and courteous bedside manor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sundar's for a few years, but I am currently looking elsewhere for a PCP. Dr Sundar no longer listens to her patients, as she is too busy repeating what is not discussed during the visit and what is already in the computer into the microphone dictation. It is literally a two minute conversation at most with you sitting there for five minutes listening to her dictate a conversation into the computer. She does not take the patient's input into consideration when making decisions. She was much more thorough and had a better bedside manner in the past than she does now. I would rather go to Urgent Care than to schedule an appointment with her. At least with those doctors, they have a reason to not know what is going on with you.

Doc Sundar is great , i love this gal

There was a time that i would have recommended her but this past visit she was different. She didn't listen and literally did nothing besides ask me 2 questions amd then repeat the same thing into the dictation thing several times. I was in for a yearly physical and she didn't even listen to my heartbeat. That was actually not new. I uaed to think i was at least in good hands because she is very thorough with blood work etc. After today I've lost confidence

Wonderful provider who gives time to our elderly parents as well the adult children who are overseeing their care.

I waited over 90 minutes to see her and my visit was less than 5 minutes long. It was very obvious that she did not care about my questions and concerns as she was shooing me out the door while I was still talking. I will not be going back nor would I recommend her to friends and colleagues.

I felt like she made judgements about me and didn't really listen to what I had to say. She does not seem to understand mental health or how anxiety works. She was condescending because I am a smoker, and was verbally and visibly aggravated when my breathing test came back fine.

Dr. Sundar is thorough, kind and compassionate. She has been my PCP for years. I trust her and she cares about her patients.

I have developed a bad rash on my foot, they took a sample, when I called & asked was told it takes 6mths, I never heard anything until my next appt. when I was told the sample was lost & I had to start the process all over. I have gained 30lbs in 6mths despite working out & a vegan lifestyle. No tests given. After answering yes to questions on depresstion w/ feelings of hopelessness. It was never mentioned, no help offered. Dr sundar is overworked and will spend minimum time with her patient

Dr. Sundar is very thorough and extremely knowledgeable . She shows genuine compassion and care for her patients.

I have been a patient of hers for many years and I dont think there is anyone better ! In fact, my spouse, my daughter and my son all have her as our PCP. She is thoughtful, compassionate, caring and very open and honest.

I had Dr Sundar as a PCP for years. I was so upset to have to leave the practice due to a move. I Had driven an hour to see her as my PCP even for a couple years after I moved just because I loved her care. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the area looking for a FANTASTIC PCP! Miss her so much!
