When the best topical cream was not covered by a general discount card, Dr. Hoyer requested a manfacturer's discount and obtained it from the provider thus saving me hundreds of dollars on each bi-monthly refill. I have been so pleased with Dr. Hoyer's compassionate approach to my care. I had a bit of an unusual derma logical circumstance and Dr. Hoyer and her staff were so diligent in diagnosing my issue and finding a solution. Dr.Hoyer has been our dermatologist for at least 15 years. She always takes her time with her examinations, explaining things, and answering as many questions as you may have. She is very knowledgeable and caring in her treatment and we highly recommend her.

Dr. Hoyer is an outstanding physician. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, and always thoroughly explains everything. Having seen her for over a dozen years, no matter if the issue has been a minor one or something more serious- she has always come through to help. Highly recommend.

Dr. Hoyer has been our family's dermatologist for many years. She's super knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk with. We have seen her collectively for a variety of skin issues including acne, eczema, moles and skin tags. We've been very happy with the care we've received.

Dr. Hoyer is the best. I would not go to any other dermatologist ever again! I have tried quite a few others. Sheryl is patient, takes her time with you, and is very proactive to provide the best care. She makes you feel very comfortable.

Dr. Hoyer is one of the best dermatologists hands down! I have been to numerous dermatologists before to control severe inflammation I was having on my face with an unknown etiology. Several doctors prescribed many different medications with no result and misdiagnosed me. Within one visit of seeing Dr. Hoyer I saw results in my face within just days! She truly takes the time to listen to her patients and understands the emotional toll having issues with your skin can have on a patient. She is condescending, dismissive, and can't do an appointment without a student to handle working at the computer - even after I told her that I have severe anxiety surrounding medical appointments and should not be forced to be part of someone's training since I was paying her, not the other way around. She refused, and I pointed out to her that refusing causes me stress and that she is choosing to cause me stress for expediency. She did not like that at all, so the rest of the appointment was contentious. She didn't even understand why her leaning in close to me, without her telling me why, made me even more anxious. Obviously, to her, I'm just a collection of skin abnormalities, and not an entire human. She also considered a treatment I told her was too dangerous for me, per my rheumatologist, and she dismissed that, too. She actually considered a second monoclonal antibody to me, a patient who gets regular rituximab infusions. DANGEROUS!!

Excellent. Dr. Hoyer researched and found the best medical solution to treat my granuloma annulare (GA), which is rare and hard to treat. I appreciate the time, resources and compassion she has shown in helping me find the right medicine to make my condition better.

I just got a call from Dr. Hoyer's office telling me that my appointment with her was scheduled for tomorrow morning. The office people wanted to know what the reason for my appointment was. Shouldn't they know that? After I explained the reason, I was told that the laser machine is only there on the 1st Wednesday of the month so I would have to reschedule. I explained that this was a follow up appointment and they didn't even have the date right. I was scheduled for next week. When asked if I wanted to reschedule, I said I would find another office who had it together. Dr. Hoyer was good when I met with her. The office staff is a DISASTER!!! There was no way I could leave a message for the Dr.

I regret I ever came to see this doctor! She is awful. I got infection after the biopsy she did and had to take tons of antibiotics to treat it. The psoriasis flare after that was terrible and I got no real help with this. Actually I was told I don’t need another appointment. Doctor had no solution to how to treat me. I went to a different doctor and I am glad I did! I got a good treatment and feel much better now. Please, choose someone else, not doctor Hoyer. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone! Dr. Hoyer is great but, like any great doctor, you will need to wait to see her. Plan ahead, make sure you make follow up appointments at your current appointment, and also you need to call them to stay on top of anything you want done. I would never suggest waiting to hear back from any doctor because they all have so much to handle. Take control of your health! Dr. Hoyer as a doctor is great. She goes to bat for you and makes sure the treatment she recommends will be covered. She's also straight up and to the point, so no mincing words with her. I was misdiagnosed. Fell ill with shingles and she told me that I have plaque psoriasis. When confronted on mails she said she heard that my symptoms were persistent from two weeks whereas I had told her clearly that it was for two days I have the symptoms. Excuses and excuses. Suffered a lot .. She couldn't make out by seeing that it was shingles. She took a telederm appoitnment. And diagnosed me on video call. I reached again because of extreme pain but I was told the same thing.

Absolutely the best Dermatologist I’ve ever been to, I’ve been to several Dermatologist‘s and Dr Hoyer is head & shoulders above the rest

My kids see her for acne and she is awesome! She takes her time to ask questions and we dont feel rushed. She is great with teenagers and is considerate of our insurance when prescribing meds

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hoyer for many years and am pleased. However, the NW system for contacting her office is a labyrinth of confusion. It is impossible to do anything online ( I kept being asked if I wanted a flu shot when I just wanted an appointment, and kept being told no dates were available, even a year in advance). Why can’t one simply call her office? A terrible system!

Went to Dr. Hoyer for a mole check. I asked about a bump on my face - she said that I was there for a mole check only and I would need to book another appointment to discuss the bump. She said it was cosmetic, would cost $75 to remove and insurance would not cover the removal. The following year I found a new dermatologist for a mole check and he was happy to remove the bump. It was skin cancer and insurance did cover it. Dr. Hoyer seems more interested in the financial aspects and servicing her cosmetic dermatology patients then “everyday” patients.

Dr. Hoyer and team are the best. She was extremely patient with me listening to all my concerns and figuring out solutions to help. I would highly recommend giving Dr. Hoyer a visit.

Dr. Hoyer spent less than 5 minutes with me during examination. With a familial history of melanoma, I try to get my skin checked yearly. I had to point out every concern I had with my skin. I think a dermatologist should be the one to assess the patient, not the other way around. While I understand she has many appointments a day, I think any physician should take the time to listen and examine people who are trying to be proactive about their health.

Would not recommend. Agree with previous review about her not taking time to listen and just hurry in and hurry out on to the next patient. Did go back and ended up walking out when office staff was going to charge me $250 for my visit when they thought they didn't accept my plan. It's a freedom plan, any Dr. Anywhere and they pay. Couldn't take the time to find out. Learned my lesson.

Dr. Hoyer was thoroughly knowledgeable about my 3 skin conditions and she took all the time to explain in detail what they were, the implications, prognosis, and answered all the questions I had for her. Her interpersonal skills and professionalism are outstanding, and I noticed that she was busy, having to move on to her next appointment, but she didn't leave until all my concerns were properly addressed. Extremely happy, and highly recommend Dr. Hoyer.

I've been going to Dr Hoyer for about 15 years now. My son, parents and sister also saw her for their dermatological issues. I highly recommend Dr Hoyer. She is patient, knowledgeable and friendly.

Dr. Hoyer seemed knowledgeable, I'll give her that. She was very quick to explain things to me, whether I understood or not. She really didn't take a good look at my face/skin when I had appointments with her. She was so quick with everything so she could get out the door it seemed. I did not get the feeling that she genuinely cared about helping me with my skin problems. Her recommendations were okay, but ultimately they did not solve my problem.
