Sherri S. Vaughn

I've been a patient of Dr. Vaughn for 10 years. Dr. Vaughn and her staff are always prepared, caring, and helpful. Dr. Vaughn never makes me feel rushed or talks over my head; she explains and discusses issues with me. She earned my trust early on, and has never violated that trust. That's a very big deal to me.

BEWARE! I only gave one star because zero was not an option. Absolutely no care shown by anyone I encountered in this office. If you want someone to care about your health you may as well go somewhere else because you are not going to find it here.

Dr. Schmidt listens to my concerns and offers help mentally, physically, and naturally before offering any medicinal options which I love . The nurses and staff have always been welcoming and pleasant.

I met Dr. Vaughn for the first time today over virtual appt thru Zoom. I was telling her my history and how I did not want to see a psych doctor for 1 anxiety medication. If I couldnt find a PCP that would prescribe me my 1 medicine that I have been dependent on for several yers, then I will continue looking elsewhere. Because, My experience with Dr. Carey was that He over medicated me with Seroquil, Buspar and Effexor. She litterally argued the point that I have only been seeing that DR for a yr and a half. NOT several like I said. I never said I had seen him several yrs. When I held my ground about NOT WANTING TO BE ON ALL THESE MEDS and what difference it made on how long I saw Dr. Carey, SHe then decided to quickly end our ZOOm appt until I became more calm. Another words, she hung up on me. I have never seen a worst doctor. EVER!! No wonder her ratings are LOW!! Byeeeee!

We appreciate Dr. Vaughn. She spends ample time with us, answers our questions, communicates effectively how we can manage our medical issues, and is able to schedule any tests we need. When we have a test, her nurse calls us promptly with the results. Dr. Vaughn has a vast knowledge of family medicine and great connections with competent specialists when we need them. We trust Dr. Vaughn and would highly recommend her.

Dr. Vaughn is a fabulous doctor. She listens, is engaged, and explains things clearly. She is honest and approachable. By far the best doctor I have ever had (and I have been to many)! If you want someone who truly cares and takes you health seriously, go see Sherri Vaughn.

We love Dr. Vaughn!! My son (7) & daughter (11) both go to her. She's very thorough & doesn't rush thru your appt like some other Dr's I've seen in the past. She explains things very well. I would highly recommend her and this entire Dr's office!

I am eztreamly uncomfortable with my dr... I have tried to switch and have been unsuccessful for who knows why apparently they say I am still their patient when I know I made it very clear that I wish for them to no longer provide care for me as I do not click with my dr.... I feel that it is very important for patients and doctors to have great relationships. How can you trust someone with your health if they really don't care about it... Because that's how I feel and I will never go back to them hell I would rather die then go back... I am eztreamly uncomfortable with my dr... I love Dr. Vaughn! She is personable, extremely caring and is forthright and honest. She is proactive and clear communicator. She is always on time and is a great listener. She is never in a rush and really takes a sincere interest in her patients. Favorite doctor ever!

I found Dr. Vaughn to be rude and very unprofessional! After explaining my symptoms to Dr. Vaughn she said she would get lab work & call me with the results-she didn't I had to call her & was told everything was normal, when my lab work was posted on the patient portal I saw that my lab work wasn't normal & I had several levels over the normal range. I called the office to see when I needed to make a follow-up appointment & was told I didn't need another appointment. I continued to feel worse so I went to another Doctor who repeated my lab work-plus added a few she felt were needed because of my symptoms. My lab work again came back with several levels over the normal range-and showed that I am a diabetic, which I am now being treated for & am feeling much better. Had I believed Dr. Vaughn's diagnosis & not gotten care from another-more competent provider I know my health would have continued to get worse! I don't know why Dr. Vaughn continues to take new patients when she obviously is unable to take care of the patients she currently has. I would never go to or recommend this Doctor to anyone.

Well I haven't actually met the doctor I can tell you that their method of getting an appointment is horrible! I've talked to the receptionist 3 different times in the last month and have yet to get a call back for an appointment! I'm giving up and trying another doctor would not recommend this office to anyone I even said I was having problems still no response!

Dr. Vaughn was arrogant, pushy, rude, and 'insisted upon' a colonoscopy even before I was able to tell her why I was there- to have blood thyroid levels checked. My thyroid symptoms (for which I have been treated for 30 years) had suddenly and frighteningly escalated, and I was searching for a doctor that would take me seriously and refer me to a specialist if needed. Instead, Dr. Vaughn belittled me, made me cry, ignored my actual symptoms, and told me that I was untrustworthy, since she had not been sent my prior medical records. This was the worst doctoring experience i have ever had.

I no longer see this physician. She, on three occasions, was very rude to me, once after having to wait for her for almost an hour. Also, she insisted on a diagnosis that the blood work didn't indicate.

Dr. Vaughn did not care at all when I came into her office and I have spoken with many other people who agree that she has little to no compassion or bedside manner. I cried after my visit with her because she made me feel so humiliated. She didn't make eye contact during the whole visit and did not even touch my tumor location. She refused to give me a scan because she didn't think it was necessary and after I told her that I would really like one, she told me that if the lump was still there in six months I should go to an orthopedist and not her. Two weeks after my appt. with her I was diagnosed with cancer. If I had waited six months, what would have happened. And it breaks my heart to think that people have taken advice from her and perhaps risked their lives doing so. I would suggest that people do not go to her, but I have recently learned that she is vice-president at LMH which has left me and others in complete shock. Although, based on first impressions and that one visit, I believe that she probably wanted to get away from people and go toward the business side. Truly the epitome of an uncaring physician. I hope only the best for her and I hope that she has had an eye-opening experience to encourage to become a more compassionate person. We all have our weaknesses and bad days, but I believe that her behavior was far beyond that and upon sharing my story with others, I have learned that I am not the only person who has been treated this way by her. But as I said before, I have faith that life will encourage her to be a more caring person.
