Dr. Sherif Saad Henein

I originally went to Dr. Henein because he is a pulmonary specialist referred to me by a friend whose husband has mesothelioma (a lung disease) from asbestos poisoning (I have asthma and was not finding any medical relief of my symptoms from a few doctors that I had seen over the years due to this issue, as a matter of fact, I felt worse). Dr. Henein was able to easily diagnose my condition and took me off a prescription that my previous Dr. had put me on (Advair), because he said I only had slight asthma and the medication is for severe asthma and the side effects from the medication far outweighed any benefit (which was nil) I would have been receiving from taking the medication (it was too strong and was actually hindering any possible progress, rather than helping my breathing issues). He prescribed a general rescue inhaler and within a few weeks I was completely fine and only need to use my inhaler maybe twice a year. In addition, he is a general practitioner, so over the course of a few years, he began treating me for short-term illnesses when they came up (bronchitis, pneumonia, two broken ribs), and one long term health issue which I had that I had never sought treatment for -- sleep apnea, for which I had never been diagnosed. It turned out that was the root of a lot of issues I was having as a middle-aged woman (not being able to sleep, constantly feeling exhausted no matter how much sleep I felt I was getting), and eventually the most serious issue I had which was major depressive disorder, which I had been struggling with for at least 10 years. He listened to every single problem I had every single time I was there and was honest with me, explained what side effects any medication he prescribed to me would be, and I always felt pretty-much immediately better after that. He is without a doubt the best physician I have EVER had a relationship with. I completely recommend Dr Henein. He really listens and remembers what you tell him. If he doesn't have an answer, he will find it. He was very supportive when my Mom was sick, great with my Dad and amazing with my treatment. He has a very calm nature, and really thinks through your diagnosis. I think he is an excellent puzzle solver for difficult diagnosis. Thanks for my health!

If only all Dr's were as Dr. Henein.He has not only Saved my Life, Yetmy Mothers Life. I believe if he wasable to make house calls: HE WOULD.He is always concerned about what youhave to say, and ALWAYS TAKES THE TIMETO LISTEN.THE BEST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER BEEN TO AND I HAVE BEEN GOING TO DR.
