When I heard someone say that Dr. Jordan thinks outside the box, I stifled my sigh. It's a tired platitude and, frankly, incongruous because for true innovators, there is no box. Given my complex medical history stemming from a surreal crush injury, the exquisite, ubiquitous pain with which I live became the barometer of all aspects of my life. All "chronic pain" sufferers know of what I speak. All the usual suspects--e.g., hopelessness, depression, anxiety et al. had me in vice grips, until I found Dr. Jordan. He understands that a comprehensive approach is absolutely necessary to assuage these energy vampires. His treatments go beyond the pharmacologic they include procedures ranging from TMS (for depression) to cortisone injections. He's empathetic, straightforward, and persistent---always looking for the answer. Yes, I do have chronic pain, but because of Dr. Jordan and an absolutely incredible staff, I am a survivor. I'm grateful to the entire team for their help and commitment!

My doctor Dr. Stanley Sheldon Jordan my neurologist & pain management specialist is an open minded doctor that judges the patients behavior rather than labeling medication for its name and goes by d was hat the nurses at hospitals tell him. As he also checks the patients (me, Andrew Blackman) background as I was in pain management and helped with that, as well as my partial seizure disorder as well as a gran mal seizure that almost killed me in texas. He has helped me find the right combination of medications with the help of my past psychiatrist or physicians with my permission. Observing as a patient his willingness to believe in his patients, with an open mind, yet still was firm with me when he unsure shows me that he truly kept his oath by doing no harm to his patients. Dr Jordan listens and takes an interest in you as a person and patient! I travel from out of state in order continue being in his exceptional care. With COVID-19 he has been offering telemed as an option.

As usual, Dr Jordan displayed his willingness to go the extra mile. He has offered to look for a maxillofacial surgeon at the UCLA School of Dentistry who may be able to perform a procedure I badly need at little or no cost to me, since, in light of COVID-19, my financial situation has recently changed. Dr Sheldon Jordan is the most talented doctor whose ability to diagnose & treat is unmatched. In my case 3 physicians incorrectly diagnosed & treated what they considered was the cause of severe leg pain. I could not sit! In reviewing my healthcare records Dr Jordan determined my sciatic nerve was being impinged by a muscle, which was the result of radiation neuropathy. After an operation to remove my prostate (10 years ago) I underwent radiation therapy since the cancer had escaped the prostate gland. Now I had this “aberration”. Dr Jordan treated this condition non invasively & the condition (severe pain) went away after 3 treatments. Dr. Jordan is a miracle worker! I have been to at least ten different neurologists/neurosurgeons at some of the best hospitals in the U.S., and Dr. Jordan changed my life more than any doctor ever has! I had chiari malformation and had brain surgery in 2012, and since then I progressively got worse and worse. For six years I would experience daily spells that lasted hours causing my legs to go paralyzed and my vision messing up so badly I was basically blind. All doctors told me nothing was wrong with me and/or I was making it up. I saw Dr. Jordan and within a year of seeing him he figured out what was wrong and performed a procedure most doctors are unaware of because it is so new. Dr. Jordan is one of those doctors about whom you'd say, "thank God, I found him!" He takes a comprehensive approach to treating me and my complex medical conditions. A bit of background: I was crushed between two NYC taxicabs and 38 surgeries (orthopaedic, vascular, reconstructive) and 24 years later, I still have many procedures to undergo as well as the obligatory horrendous lower back pain, knee pain, yadda, yadda, yaddda..... As a chronic pain "survivor" I have one other constant in my life: total unreliability from hour to hour, day after day. I don't need to explain the deleterious effects to my life to other 'survivors' and this is why Dr. Jordan's treatment plan is an all-encompassing one. He realizes things like depression, anxiety, attitude and outlook are critical to positive results. His knowledge and expertise are unparalleled and he stays current with cutting-edge , non-surgical procedures ....of course, my insurance company has a myopic view when common sense is involved.
