This Doctor or his assistant are not professional, they don’t return your calls. If you got this doctor as your primary, please change it, they will make you only to waste your time. Bad place, wrong people. please don’t waste your time!

The one person office staff is not working. I have never in my life delt with a more rude person. She is obviously over worked, and it is apparently my fault. Have contacted my insurance company to switch doctors. Dr. Mahmood really needs to reconsider his employee choice.

The one and only one office worker is not professional and very rude. I’ve never met anyone so rude and unhelpful in my 64 years! Dr Mahmood is a nice man and a good doctor but you can’t even talk to him unless you go through this lady, which she doesn’t let it happen. I’m not sure how she has a job. very good. We had been trying to get answers with no help from other Drs. Dr Mahmood and his nurse was great . He saw us the same day and got answers immediately. No fooling around or waiting. I liked him very much.

Let me start off by saying this place is a total joke and should be shut down! The doctor himself isn't too bad...but his receptionist/assistant is absolutely worthless and she is the only one that works in his office. I had severe pain from an injury and the doctor had ordered an MRI and had put me on Tramadol for the pain. His assistant never sent either one of them and told me she was going to get to it...after waiting three weeks it still was never sent! I had to go to down his office and stand at the front desk until she sent it. Only then did she send off both orders because I wouldn't leave until it was done. This idiot assistant is for some reason in charge of making important patient health decisions which is absolutely frightening and she can barely answer a phone call. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE...it is that bad! Let me start off by saying this place is a total joke and should be shut down! Only because it makes you select a star, I have selected one. However, this man would be best known as Dr. DEATH!! If you care for your self or any of your loved ones DO NOT use this man!! When you first meet him, he will give you the impression that he is wonderful, and that he is there to help. This man is no more there to help anyone but his pocket book!. Had my family listened to this man/Dr my Father would not be with us today! He almost killed him with an over dose of Morphine to the point the Unit Nurse of the Hospital my father is/was at asked what was going and she was told and she took matters into her own hands. My 95 year old mother who is in excellent health has been a patient of Dr Mahmood for several years. The office is the most disorganized and unfriendly I've ever experienced. If it were a consumer business, they would be out of business. If you need to talk to someone, you invariably get a voice mailbox that is full, i.e. you cant leave a message. When I finally got someone on the phone and complained about their unavailability, I got an answer like "I'm only one person". Appointment times mean nothing. If you're lucky, you get in within 2 hours of your appointment time. If not it could be longer or even cancelled while you are waiting in the office. A couple of months ago, she needed a medical release for an orthopedic surgery so we made an appointment. On the morning of the appointment, we got a call that the doctor wouldn't be in for the entire week. The other day we had an appointment at 11 am and at 930 she got a call saying the Dr wouldn't be in that day. They rescheduled for the next day and Dr was over 2 hrs late for our appointment and unapologetic about the wait. Am looking for another Dr in the area for her. Don't have an issue with doctor but staff extremely poor. Never follows up on additional appts. Never received a call back when I've had other issues. Not recommended. Only doctor available when needed new PCP. Look elsewhere is my advice

This doctor in and of himself is a fine doctor. However, his staff is revoltingly rude, callous and makes decisions about whether or not the doctor may see patients based on subjection. Today, for the second time in my experience with this office I was completely humiliated by this primary care doctor's receptionist. She entirely disregarded my appointment, acted as though she had no idea who I was even though lab results had been sent to her on October 29th, and two days later, according to LabCorp who drew my blood as requested by said doctor. He is located on Bob Hope Drive in Palm Desert and I had a positive experience the very first time I made an appointment but was only able to finally see him after waiting for 1 1/2 hours without the staff letting me or other patients in the waiting room know what was going on. The receptionist was incredibly rude this day as well and two other patients in the waiting room offered the same sentiments. This receptionist is mean, inept and making important decisions for human beings with critical health issues. This doctor in and of himself is a fine doctor. My experience with Dr. Mahmood the physician was fine the one time I was able to see him. This review specifically pertains to his front desk staff. The women who work at the front desk taking appointments, receiving patients and managing paperwork are horrendously rude, downright mean, insensitive, callous and absolutely do NOT have the patients' health and well being in mind. I would absolutely NOT recommend scheduling an appointment at this medical office.

First off this office is only open 5 hours a day 9-4 and there have lunch from 12 -2pm the office staff to SO RUDE and makes you wait hours just to see the doc. DR mahmood is very akword didn't make me feel my exam was very akword . Dr Mahmood is the best doctor in the desert. All my friends love him.

Doesn't listen to patient complaints. Orders tests and doesn't read results.

Doctor's staff is unprofessional, rude and extremely unhelpful. Cannot get an appointment to see doctor. On first visit I was made to fill out forms to get medical records from other doctors and DID NOT SEE DOCTOR. Office staff said doctor wouldn't see me until he got medical records from other doctors. After 4 weeks I called to see if I can see doctor, and I was told doctor wouldn't be available for almost a month. Being a cancer patient and needing a primary care physician to set up referrals for my other doctors - and after explaining the situation to staff - Dr. Shehryar Mahmood's staff was unwilling or unable to set up an appointment for first time visit with the doctor for another three weeks out. Switched to a doctor who was more accommodating to my needs and whose office staff was much better at getting me in right away to see the doctor. In all 3 to 4 months would have gone by before I would be able to see "Dr. Shehryar Mahmood." I would never recommend him or his office staff to anyone I know or to anyone I didn't know for that matter. Doctor's staff is unprofessional, rude and extremely unhelpful.
