Shazia Bashir

Dr Bashir was incredible and walked me through the whole process with all my nonsurgical/surgical options. She was very supportive and informative. Surgery went better than expected and I had no bleeding after surgery. She called me multiple times during the week after to ensure I was healing. Fabulous person and doctor!

Dr Bashir performed my surgery at UF Shands in Gainesville Fl. She handled my case with outstanding skill, compassionate manner and professionalism. I would recommend Dr Bashir to anyone in need of a Gynecological Surgeon.

Prior to selecting Dr Shazia Bashir I had seen 2 other GYN MD/surgeons. I was considering Medical hospitals in the NYC area - but Fla best suited my needs at this time. A glance at Dr. Bashir’s resume listed surgical experience at distinguished hospitals I had been considering. There would be no question this Surgeon would be my choice. Dr. Bashir had a better grasp of the issues my situation presented using essentially the same type of MRI/Sonogram, as another MD I’d consulted. (That MD had minimized or missed altogether the complications.) My procedure was highly complex. My recovery has been swift and without complications. I feel incredibly lucky to have been treated by Dr. Bashir and her team. Dr. Bashir spent nearly 2 hours discussing my concerns, including clear & concise illustrations. Her demeanor is kind, thoughtful easily answers any questions. She added an MD available for questions prior to the procedure. I did reach out with concerns that were promptly addressed.

Dr. Bashir is an empathetic person who treats her patients with respect and professionalism. I felt so comfortable with her and she explained and answered me all my questions and concerns. I am so grateful with her and highly recommend her.

I was referred to her because I had a ovarian cyst that was possibly cancerous. On my 1st visit she explained how the process would go and surgery. She was knowledgeable and reassuring and make sure I understood everything. Surgery day came and all went well.

My appointment was handled quickly and with great care given to my need. Dr. Bashir is compassionate and caring. I would recommend her to anyone needing her expertise. She paid special attention to any concerns that I might have. She is a Godsend!

Dr. Bashir is a wonderful doctor. She has the best bedside manners and really cares about her patients. I've never had a surgery before so I was really nervous. She listened to my concerns and explain the different procedures I could have done. The procedure I chose and she completed was the less invasive which meant she had to be very precise. I had some complications during my surgery which made my surgery last 4 hours instead of 2 hours. It would've been a lot easier for Dr. Bashir to make a large incision to complete the surgery but she knew I didn't want that which made her work even harder to complete my procedure.

Dr. Bashir is an excellent doctor. I was referred to her by my gynecologist for diagnosis and treatment. She persevered, rechecked my biopsy and discovered a pre cancer growth. Subsequent surgery potentially saved my life. I am very grateful to her for her competence and diligence.

My first impression of Dr. Bashir is that she is very welcoming & immediately put me at ease. It was obvious she had studied my file & test results that had been forwarded to her. She talked to me like I was the most important person in the world. Went over my condition, test results & what we needed to do to get rid of the cancer. Completely answered my questions, scheduled surgery & next appointment. All very soon. I could not have been more satisfied. Would refer any family or friend.

The first time I went to see Dr. Bashir after being diagnosed with cancer, I admit I was scared, but Dr. Bashir put me at ease right away and I have felt comfortable every time I see her. She really cares for her patients and is a wonderful doctor. From the time I was diagnosed with cancer to the day I was free of cancer was 3-1/2 weeks. She suggested a complete hysterectomy and she performed the surgery robotic-ally and I was cancer free. Again, she is very caring and terrific doctor.

It was such a privilege being under Dr. Bashir’s care. I can’t say enough about her professionalism, her ability to relate to her patient, to explain the cancer, it’s scope and outlook, as well as all the available options. She was so reassuring to myself and my daughters who often accompanied me to appointments. I felt very well informed about my specific cancer, the choice of surgery and the follow-up needed. She has been constantly encouraging and supportive. I am very blessed to have had her

Dr. Bashir is an extremely competent and compassionate physician. I am an analytical and data driven person and Dr. Bashir was an ideal fit for me. She was able to answer all of my questions thoroughly and enabled me to understand the procedures from a multitude of perspectives. I would highly recommend her to anyone - you will definitely be in excellent hands. I consider Dr. Bashir a true gift to me and my family.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bashir. Her ability to provide straight forward answers while providing compassion & empathy to my situation helped me through my diagnosis and recovery. I met her during a very scary time and from the very first meeting she showed me the compassion and caring which were lacking in the other physicians. My surgery was a success and my recovery time has been remarkable. I credit this is to not only her incredible skills but her loving & healing nature

I found the Dr. and staff very helpful and right to the point , kind, and very understanding about appointments and time ! I love them all for there help, I believe they gave me back my life. And having a female Dr. and staff was great !

I was sent to Dr. Bashir when my gynocologist told me I had endometrial cancer. I knew that meant a hysterectomy. Dr. Bashir also told me I had a tumor attached to my cervix, so the whole thing sounded pretty scary. She told me she'd perform the surgery using robotics, and I've been in awe of her ever since! Dr. Bashir has always explained everything, answered all my questions, and been extremely kind.

Dr. Bashir has been a gift to me! My experience with her has been very positive. Having a cancer diagnosis was alarming to me, yet she explained the procedure and what to expect in a very professional way. She is a confident, professional young woman and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of surgery.

She has been nothing but kind and has listen to all of my concerns. I’ve been with her almost a year. We’ve tried a few different options. I would say she’s a doctor they should definitely visit, talk to and give a chance. I’m ovarian cancer for six years. I’ve seen good doctors and I’ve seen bad doctors Andy I would put her with the first group.

She is an awful woman. Very cold and has NO bedside manner. I was told in hospital that I had one thing wrong with me and told in office something completely different. If you have to see her, PLEASE get a second opinion.

Dr Bashir is kind and patient. She made sure I was comfortable with going forward with my surgery and that I understood all that was going to happen. Being a non-medical person, it was nice to have a reassuring Doctor with a demeanor of confidence and knowledge along with kindness. Her staff is also very competent and attentive.

She is my angel, and I love her! Highly recommended to anybody. :)

Dr Bashir is highly professional and an expert surgery. She removed an extremely difficult pelvic tumor with great skill . Most highly recommended

Dr. Bashir is wonderful after being diagnosed with Unterine cancer Aug. 2016. She and the staff were so caring and concerned about my health problems. I personally don't think I would have made it through this journey without them. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Bashir and all of the staff at Cancer Specialists of North Florida at A C Skinner Parkway. They will be my friends forever and if my cancer comes back again I know who to call Dr Bashir

I'm sure she's fine for those with the proper insurance. I honestly felt like I was going to have cancer in this office when they "operated" on me. Then she didn't do the surgery (insurance troubles) and referred me to Shands where I was told my ovarian cyst didn't really look suspicious and I could choose if I wanted to get it removed. I chose not to at that time, and lost my insurance the next year and have never gotten it back. I still have the ovarian cysts. Who knows now? Not me.

Dr. Bashir has done an excellent job treating my cancer. Also, Amy, her PA-C, has done an outstanding job. When I had an issue on a Sunday morning, I called the answering service at 7 a.m and Amy called me back within 10 minutes. Both Dr. Bashir and Amy explain the medical situation in a straight-forward, clear manner but with consideration and sympathy. Actually, the entire staff at the Southside Florida Cancer Specialist location has been extremely competent and compassionate.

She was very insensitive with my situation and id leave her office more nervous than when I arrived. I went to another cancer specialist with more experience and everything she had worked me up for was incorrect and it turns out I'm going to be okay. I don't recommend her to anyone!
