When I tell you this man is the best OBGYN in Marion I firmly believe that with my whole soul. He’s about to deliver my second child and I wouldn’t trust anyone else in the world to do that. He KNOWS how I feel about other doctors and how I don’t feel safe and he has made sure I see ONLY him every appointment. (In his office there are several doctors and they all rotate on a daily basis) it doesn’t matter what time it is or what’s going on, rather it’s serious or your just generally concerned he’s willing to see me just to ease my mind when it comes to my child. I give him a 10 star review. I also have MS and he’s taken the time each appoint to re search the web to expand his knowledge so he can be the best he can for me and my medical condition to give me the answers I need. We don’t deserve how good of a doctor this man is. He’s too good for his own good. Such a professional doctor and very knowledgeable . With my first pregnancy, I had came to Indiana in the middle of my pregnancy and I had never seen an OBGYN before, he took me under his wing when he didn’t have to and made sure I got an ultrasound, my vitamins and he made sure he was there to deliver my baby when he wasn’t even on call that day because I was so scared from not having a doctor I trusted and had a bond with. As a women I feel like we don’t want multiple people looking at us and multiple people in and out of our pregnancy when your supposed to trust that ONE person and get to know them so you know your baby will be delivered in safe hands. I had monthly visits with Dr. Swan and was led to believe everything was going well. When I was 24 weeks, I started having cramping and chest pain. The nurse for the on call doctor told me it was normal and to call back if it got worse. I called back 4 days later and the nurse I talked to directed me to go to the ER. I ended up having to be transferred to St Vincent Womens Hospital in Indy and was told I had pre eclampsia. I ended up having a csection at 25 weeks 6 days and my sweet baby boy passed away 4 days after he was born. Had I been told to go to the ER when I called the first time I might have had a different outcome.

My sister had serious complications when she was early pregnant. Instead of them taking the bleeding seriously, and them not taking the right precautions referring her to a high-risk doctor when they should have, in the result, she miscarried. After the miscarriage they admit that the next pregnancy they will refer her to see a specialist who specializes in her complications. Her doctor was Doctor Swan, yet, she barley ever saw him. They made her see different doctors at the office who weren’t even of knowledge of her condition. Which led to constant confusion and constant explaining to her condition. The fact that an appointment is scheduled for 2:15, I show up 15 minutes early and I am still waiting 45 minutes later, meanwhile at least 8 people who have came in after me have already been called back! Straight rediculous...I should not have to sit in the lobby in pain for this long!!!

Why schedule an appointment at all if people have to wait over an hour to be seen? It feels as though if you’re not pregnant, your time is not important. I cannot wait to find a new obgyn office when I move.

Changing OB offices because of Dr Swan. Office staff is great but Swan falls short for me. My pcp ordered a procedure to be done. I waited an hour in the procedure room with no one to come check on me or inform me how far behind he was. Swan ended up not even doing the procedure that I had done with my last pregnancy by him to look for cervical changes. I was admitted to labor and delivery for 9 hours on another occasion where doctor swan showed me to my room and that was all I seen of him.
