Dr. Steen operated on me for Carcinoid Syndrome in April of 2021. He removed half my liver that had a grapefruit size cancerous tumor, my galbladder, appendix and part of my colon/intestine that also had a tumor in it. He explained everything about the surgery before I went under and after. Easy to talk to and did excellent work. The flushing and diarrhea all went away after the surgery. The entire staff at Ventura Community Hospital were very professional and compassionate. I highly recommend him and all the staff at the hospital. Dr. Steen operated on me for Carcinoid Syndrome in April of 2021. He removed half my liver that had a grapefruit size cancerous tumor, my galbladder, appendix and part of my colon/intestine that also had a tumor in it. Dr Shawn Steen is an amazing and gifted physician who helped me a great deal by successfully removing cancer from my body. He is compassionate, skilled, professional and kind. Sense of humor is wonderful and that goes a long way. No one wants to hear that you have cancer, but Dr Steen made my experience so much easier with his expertise and kind, easygoing way. I thank him from the bottom of my heart.
