Where to start....Demeaning to the point of down right mean.. This doctor is a horrible doctor...saw her for years and never should have total whacko... Always telling me what I needed to do with my personal life and chewed me out horribly for getting pregnant on the phone....never found out I had an autoimmune disease but made sure SHE KNEW what I had...wrong.... Took another doctor and a specialist tl find it...told me I had this and that...never did...cancer u name it...Do not recommond...

Not a good listener. She is always "right" and isn't interested in hearing differing opinions.

Dr.. Pertunen stays current on medical research and employs evidence-based findings in her practice. She is very patient-centered and accessible. I have always known her to be knowledgeable, experienced, thoughtful, thorough, and extremely competent in addition to being very personable.

Told me that there was no chance that I had the chronic illness that a geneticist diagnosed me with. Not a good way to begin, truly. Then proceeded to lecture me on how she would take me off all meds, even my heart rate control meds, and how since she has fibromyalgia, I definitely had it as well. Very shocking first appt and never went back. Frankly, I don't need judgement from a person, let alone my doctor. Do no harm to your patient...she harmed me mentally.

Her office is prompt with appointment times! Dr. Pertunen services and follow-up care is comprehensive. She caught things that my specialists did not. It gives me great peace of mind and confidence to know she is the hub of my team of doctors!
