I went in to the emergency room because I was having an ectopic pregnancy and Dr. Sharon Hedges took out one of my tunes AND my ovary during surgery. No one understood why she’d done that, since it’s very rare to remove both. I contacted Ochsner after realizing just how rare that was by other doctors. Nothing came if it. Now, I’m left with a 50% chance of having children, because of her. I remember when I went in, an assistant says, “She’s probably gonna take it out.” You know why? Because that’s what she does. She removes good ovaries and tubes without any explanation and flat out LIES and provides no explanation as to why. Now that I see this has happened to someone else, when my complaint was YEARS ago, I wonder how many women she has done thus to. There is something sinister about this doctor that scares me.

Dr. Hedges is wonderful! As a woman going into menopause I was so frustrated by other doctors that automatically told me to have a hysterectomy. Dr. Hedges checked everything thoroughly then concluded that there was no reason I had to have one. She continues to monitor me and is the kindest doctor ever and always responds to any questions I have promptly. I highly recommend her!!!

This woman burnt and completely damaged my right Fallopian tube during diagnostic surgery. I was initially lied to right after the surgey and told everything went well, then lied to about the extent of the damage, then lied to about statute of limitations. DO NOT TRUST THIS WOMAN!!!! And do not allow this to operate on you!!!

Dr. Hedges is amazing! She delivered our twins and the second one was breech. She is supportive of natural, pain - free deliveries. Her mood is very sweet and calm. Highly recommended!!!
