Dr. Shari Lynn Klig

Dr. Klig makes excellent use of her vast knowledge & experience to treat her patients. She is an outstanding listener who is always willing to research and explore every option available to improve a patient’s health situation. Dr. Klig is not an ordinary doctor who prescribes the “typical” medication; she truly examines to find the source of the health matter and then tackles the matter. Dr. Klig is beyond personable and kind. Her empathy comes through with all of her care. I have called her several times (off hours & on weekends) because of a health concern and I was always able to reach her. And she was never bothered by my calls. I have been seeing Dr. Klig for approximately 9 years. I would never dream of switching to a different allergist!

Office is very clean. She is professional & extremely knowledgeable. Very easy to speak with & explains everything. I have no problem recommending her to anyone who needs an allergist. No scheduling appointments except for testing.

Excellent doctor that goes above and beyond office procedures..Always responds back promptly .. never an office wait..Has done well checks on me on her own time ..The true meaning of a good allergist!

I am somewhat shocked at all the positive reviews I found for this allergist. It was listed as a pediatric allergist through our insurance. Waiting room was very plain with nothing to occupy a child; not even a Highlights magazine. I thought those things were standards in a pediatrics office. It made a 40 minute wait fun :/ The receptionist did not acknowledge we were there (it appears she is not the receptionist for Dr Klig but rather the other dr in the office, but that’s just my guess since dr klig took all our paperwork and payment.) Dr Klig walked into the waiting room and just asked for ID and insurance card. No ‘Hello’ or a ‘welcome to our practice.’ Very dry personality. For an adult, I would not care, but for pediatrics I expect a little more; especially for a new patient. We were recommended by our pediatrician for a skin allergy test since he could easily just write a script for a blood lab test but it seamed right from the start, and at multiple points, we were being steered to a blood test at a lab. When we insisted on a skin test it was almost as she was inconvenienced. Was awkward and frustrating. After the skin test, we asked for results, she wrote her notes on a paper towel before asking us to wait for a page of ‘official result.’ A paper towel?!? Come on. It would have only been slightly less professional if she wrote her notes on her hand. Is this a doctor’s office or a middle school bio class?!? After the visit she generously surprised us with an additional payment we were not advised of. A courtesy heads up would have been nice. Overall- I would not go back or bring my son. The experience was something I’d expect from a doctors office in someone’s basement. dr klig does not have the personality for pediatrics and the lack of professionalism I’d expect in a practice was not there. Best allergist on the island

I’ve been going there for a while now. She is simply really good at what she does. She is personable, professional and tries to help you however she can.
