5 years ago I went in for severe pain in my neck & shoulder. Dr. Shannon told me the pain was a result of me drinking coffee (???), gave me a lecture on sexual health (which had nothing to do with my visit, especially since I was not sexually active), sent me home. Through another provider, I was later diagnosed with a severe whiplash injury from an accident I was in, resulting in a pinched nerve and muscle spasms. I was annoyed but Dr. Shannon was local (30 min to another Dr.) so I continued to see him. This year, I got married so I asked about a birth control implant. He sternly told me those cause “abortion after abortion” because it’s just progestin and the egg can still be fertilized but can’t implant. They won’t do the implants here. So I went with the pill he prescribed. Today I called with a question about the prescription, but I made the mistake of telling them I’d moved & couldn’t find a new provider. They refused to answer any questions because I’m not a current patient.
Very interested in lots of visits and costly prescriptions. I found his suggestions very contradictory.
I have been seeing Dr. Shannon Riegle for years and appreciate his directness and clarity.

My son got diagnosed with ADD and had to go to his Dr for him to review the recommendations of the psychiatrist. Dr. Shannon was so unprofessional in regards to his conversations with my husband and son. My son walked away from his appointment feeling defeated and hopeless due to the way the doctor handled everything. He prescribed him a medication that wasn’t recommended by the psychiatrist and one that he will not take. My son will not go back to that office.
