If I could give this place zero stars I would. I received little to no information about my situation. The doctor never spoke to me, nor did I ever receive my results. Dr Sopp and his team are the best! I have been going here for over 30 years. I have absolutely nothing but the highest grades for him and his staff. The best!

I was so thankful to find Dr. Sopp, but I’m so sad that he’s retiring. He’s friendly and positive, and gave me hope for the bladder condition I had been suffering with for months. I’m going to have surgery soon and I am expecting great results. I’m looking forward to the day I can live a normal life again. If he was still practicing I would highly recommend him. He’s one of the best doctors I’ve ever been to.

Dr Sopp was patient, kind and understanding and always made me feel like I had someone to turn to during a difficult diagnosis. He explained things clearly, didn’t jump the gun on providing solutions, and was conscientious and knowledgeable. Very thankful.

If you’re looking for a doctors office that will take your money for decades without ever actually listening to your issues or addressing them, you’ve found it! Prepare to be an ob/gyn yourself so you’ll be able to recognize something as the serious issue it is and then force them to pay attention to it, otherwise a layperson is out of luck. Will also do an absolute hackjob on any stitches, do no advocacy to your insurance on your behalf, will tell and show your spouse more about your surgery than they tell you, and will not be available for appointments they know are a challenge for you to make. If you’ve read anything about the systematic dismissal of women’s issues by the medical community, this office unfortunately fits right in. What’s worse is that this is a doctor who also teaches, and will pass these bad and sloppy habits on to the next generation. I regret allowing a student to supervise my surgery. I have been seeing Dr. Sopp for years. He has always been appropriate during my exams. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to women's issues. He has done two surgeries on me over the years and I never once had complications. I healed very quickly. His staff has always been nothing but courteous and very helpful. I don't understand where the negative comments on here are coming from but please don't hesitate to make an appointment with Doctor Sopp.

He knew I was living a single and celibate lifestyle for over 5 years. My last exam was unreasonably rough, and ten days later I broke out in the most painful rash of my life. Back in his office, he took one look and said HERPES. I asked HOW?!? A blood antibody test came back NEG, which means I contracted it in the past 6 mo! HE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO'S BEEN DOWN THERE. To cover a potential law suit, he recorded himself saying I was fine and never had it. He tried to get me to agree. A pathetic man.

I don't know where these negative reviews are coming from. I've been going to Dr. Sopp for years. He has never been inappropriate. He is very kind, patient, understanding and extremely knowledgeable. He also seems to be more modern than other friends and families Drs. He's told me of methods and standards that the others don't know about or are still following older practices and old beliefs. Don't listen to those negative reviews. He and his staff are wonderful!

I've seen Dr Sopp many times he's a great man very knowledgeable good listener.he performed my tubal ligation June 2016 & he did an excellent job I wasn't in any pain after the procedure nor did i have any problems.plus u can't even find the incision site under my belly button. He's a great doctor love him

Dr. Shane Sopp in Syracuse was very inappropriate during two visits I had with him. He made me feel very uncomfortable each time! I also had billing issues that took over 3 months/8+ phone calls to resolve that was their admitted mistake in the first place. Avoid this doctor! Best decision I made was going to another doctor!
