Dr. Shane Nelson Manning

Dr. Manning not only is a top notch surgeon but, one of the most compassionate doctors I have ever met. He takes time to really listen to his patients, makes them feel totally at ease when they are frightened. Dr Manning has done the last 3 of my last major operations (I have had 18) This was my final operation ever,I have had many doctors to say the least and never have felt more kindness from him as well as his staff. He has a calm voice and steady hand when he works on me and I hardly feel the stitches come out, he doesn’t torture me like other doctors have done. My only regret is not having the privilege of meeting him sooner. I am also very grateful that he didn’t do any unnecessary surgical procedures and knew exactly how to get me out of pain so I could have a quality of life I have never had before. If I ever had anything else wrong, I would contact him in a New York minute .. He is also excellent in returning e mails when I have questions or need to talk to him about something.. Nobody else will ever touch my feet but him lol.. Thanks to him and his entire compassion staff! I think more doctors should work to be more like him, he really needs an award for outstanding achievement! I had bunion surgery with Dr. Manning. He was confident, knowledgeable, and did very well with my foot. I had the more intensive surgery done and everything happened just as he said from surgery through recovery. I was nervous because of other reviews, and that's why I am posting this positive one for people to read!

I absolutely would recommend this man, he took time to answer all my questions, showed and explained my x rays, amazing bedside manner, I also like the fact he’s conservative and not med happy I find him very confident also staff is great!

Dr. Manning was nice but seemed very unsure of what was wrong with my ankle. He essentially said that I had a bad sprain and that it'd be fine to try and walk on. That was it. I was suspicious of such a vague answer, so inquired further from other doctors. After another doctor recommended a CT scan, the results came back that I had an ankle fracture. If I followed Dr. Manning's conservative advice, then I would definitely be worse off and wouldn't have healed properly.

Ok.he seems nice, but somewhat...unsure? Not confident? Something. VERY conservative treatment, and it has only prolonged the pain
