As a pediatric doctor, she is not a caring and kind. My kids did not like her.

My daughter had a fever and I made an appointment with the doctor. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. The doctor forcefully vaccinated my daughter when my husband kept telling the doctor not today. I already vaccinated my daughter in February and failed to verify with the previous office

She is my son’s doctor for almost 10 years. She was always on time, and her knowledge is up to date. Gave best advices to my son always. We were so lucky to have her in Irvine.

This is probably one of the most unfriendly and unwelcoming pediatric offices I have ever been to. The staff all look unhappy, and they NEVER greet you when you walk into the office. I think everyone there chose the wrong profession because they all act miserable, cold and distant. Heshmati was competent, but she is the furthest thing from what I'd expect from a pediatrician. She's stoic with my myself, my wife and my 2 kids. I don't expect them to sing and do dances, but at the very least, they could be somewhat kind of chipper when dealing with my 3yo and 2yo. We gave them the benefit of the doubt twice. After our third visit, we switched pediatricians, and with our new pediatrician and staff, I wish we had done so sooner. Dr Heshmati is wonderful! She is very knowledgeable , takes her time and cares about not only the patient but the patient's family to ensure a healthy family environment . The office staff is kind,helpful and very efficient. They have gone through hoops to get things done for us. The office is very clean also and she doesn't prescribe medications unnessarily. I recommend Dr. Heshmati. She is friendly and listens. I never feel rushed when I take my son to her for an office visit. Very nice doctor.

This office is not good at all! Be careful and read below. My son fractioned his leg yesterday morning and we went to the emergency. The emergency at hoag advised us to go to CHOC but we need a referral from Dr Shahla's office. I called at this location at 9:45am yesterday and I asked that we need a referral and we need to go to CHOC and our medical Files was at HOAG. I called in again this morning as my son was in pain all night and the receptionist said that she was not able to get the medical record from HOAG and asked if maybe I can get the report and X-ray from hoag and bring it to them. I got upset and called department of health to report this action and to be reviewed immediately on why medical records was not able to be retrieved yesterday and how many times was actually tried to get it yesterday. The excuse I got was that no one answered yesterday at HOAG hospital, but with that answer just means that not enough effort was done. I called CHOC and they are all gone for the day as today was a half day. Now my son have to be in pain with a temporary cast for his leg til monday and CHOC is not able to help us put a cast on as today was a half a day. If the papers was complete yesterday, my son would be in less pain and we would of been in the doctors office early morning. This office is not good at all! Be careful and read below. All three of my children see Dr. Heshmati. She is wonderful and great with kids. She listens to my concerns as a parent and gives great advice. If you call in with a concern, she always calls right back with an answer. I highly recommend her.
