Dr. Seema Adhami

If I could give this doctor 0 stars I would. She is very cold and has no bedside manner. My daughter has cerebral palsy and a seizure disorder. We saw Dr. Adhami when she was a baby and for the following year. She was very cold and unsupportive and not hopeful at all about our daughter's condition. Every interaction with her ended in tears as I drove home. She was very dismissive and unsupportive. I stopped seeing her and switched to another doctor who was at UMass at the time. This other doctor is wonderful and supportive, a real cheerleader for parents and willing to help us out with anything we need raising a disabled child. Well now my daughter is 14 and has been relatively seizure free for a very long time. This weekend she had 3 seizures, so I called UMass for the pediatric neurologist on call. It was Dr. Adhami. I explained the situation and she wanted to know who our neurologist was, I told her, and she said she doesn't cover for that doctor so she couldn't help. It was then that I remembered why I stopped seeing Dr. Adhami in the first place. She was unwilling to help a concerned parent over the phone because she didn't cover for that doctor. If I had brought my child into UMass to be seen at the ER she would have ended up seeing her anyway. She is just the worst. My advice is to never see this doctor.
