Dr. Scott L Woodfield

My husband was referred to Woodfield and us being from out of state, used him. Retired here and not sure of anything we were told he needed bypass surgery. Which he had and it was successful. Thank goodness Woodfield did not do the surgery. His office staff is horrible in many ways, from not returning calls to not being able to have doctor write needed prescriptions. But mostly, what heart doctor after a patient has had surgery doesn’t first look at the incision and second never listens to his heart or lungs. In all the visits after, he has not once touched him, just talked about test results. Would never recommend him to anyone. Like the fact that Dr. Woodfield takes the time to explain concerns without making you feel rushed. He makes eye contact while explaining recommendations and procedures.

He was ready to schedule pacemaker surgery. We asked what else could be done. Consult was sent to arrythmia specialist who said I didnt need a pacemaker. That was 9 years ago. I saw the arrythmia specialist 3 xs after that when I had a problem. A few years later I changed cardiologists & no longer see Dr Woodfield

He has been my Dr for over 10 years. It is getting harder to schedule an appointment with him. I feel their needs to more personnel answering the phone I call to schedule or reschedule and take almost 3 minutes to get a recording to leave a message to call you back.

Dr. S. Woodfield has been my heart doctor for at least 5 years. I have never had a problem getting an appointment with him. He has treated me for several different heart issues. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a heart doctor.
