Dr. Scott Patrick Striplin

Dr.Striplin has been my OB/GYN since I was 16 years old, Im 41 now.. Delivered both my kids, He is the best OB/GYN and I have referred several people to him that have all said the same thing about him being such a great doctor. Scott is educated and knows his field inside and out. He is to the point, but will take as much time as needed to make sure you have every question answered. I would not trust anyone else as I trust him. HE GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND to take care of his patients, staff and anyone that needs his assistance. Go see him and you will see how awesome he is!

Absolutely horrible doctor. I would never recommend him to my worst enemy. Does not care about his patients at all. Makes up stuff to put on charts when he nor his staff never even done what they claimed. He is extremely rude and doesn't care about what you nor your spouse want for your pregnancy. Cuts you off when you go to talk and Will not let you ask questions nor voice your opinion on what you want to do or what you want to happen. He needs to quit and move to Mexico.

Went to the ER because I had light brown bleeding during early pregnancy my baby was ok I was high risk and had a subchronic bleed. Then it got worse and red so I scheduled and appointment with dr Scott striplin He didn’t do an ultrasound or try to listen or see my baby’s heartbeat. He did a PAP while I was bleeding and miscarrying my baby. If I didn’t go to the ER AGAIN I wouldn’t have known that my baby was gone. He also would not listen to my concerns and speak over me. The 2 times I went to him he was always rushing trying to get me out of there.

Yes he is in a hurry 99% of the time, but he is an excellent doctor. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. He was a absolutely amazing doctor during my daughters entire pregnancy and her delivery.

I hate having to wait to see the doctor but he is amazing !!!! He is one of the best doctor's around. I highly recommend him!!!!! He cares about his patients and he is very friendly! Just be ready to wait.

I have been in Dr. Striplin's care and words can't even begin to explain how much I appreciate and respect him. He is very easy to talk to, straight to the point, humorous, very professional, caring, comforting, hardworking, and dedicated to his job. He has seen me regardless of my financial, mental, and physical troubles. He delivered first daughter who is less than months old now, in less than 15 minutes, and helped to comfort and talk me through the little pain I was experiencing, as I was on the Epidural medicine. Not to mention, he has seen me and helped me through all of my complications and concerns during pregnancy. This is very relieving, especially since I had transferred from Women's Hospital in Baton Rogue, who is supposed to be the best but is clearly not since they never answered my phone calls, made me upset to the point to where I got nauseous upon every visit, and never thoroughly explained things. Dr. Striplin is the best doctor in this field, and my favorite doctor overall. I never thought I would say that I like seeeing a doctor, but I actually enjoy seeing him. Dr. Striplin was is a super mega rush during my appointment. I have never felt so rushed into and out of an appointment before. He left a bad first impression, I do not think I will see him again. I read other reviews that some women had the same experience. I will drive however far I need to see a doctor that is caring and not rushing me into and out of their office. He spoke extremely fast and did not give me a chance to voice my concerns to him. My exam was poor quality, no exaggeration he did everything in under a minute. I felt so rushed into and out of my appointment by Dr. Striplin that it honestly ruined my day. This was my first time meeting him and I don't think that I will be back, he left a bad first impression. I just read other reviews that Dr. Striplin was rushing them in and out of his office as well. He spoke so extremely fast and did not give me a chance to voice my current concerns to him. I also don't trust that I was adequately examined. When I tell you he did everything in less than a minute I am not exaggerating. He was not caring at all.

Sucked

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! The staff is all over the place,The receptionist (Taylor) doesn’t have a clue to what she’s doing. Every time I come in it’s a different disappointment. Which is unfortunate because I really like Dr. Striplin!!! I’m currently looking for a new dr, I have high anxiety every visit because you never know what’s going to happen. And that’s unhealthy for me. If he get new professional staff, it will be so much better. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! He appears to be top notch but his staff are not helpful. My daughter is a patient with a breast issue and she is waiting for some answers. This is an area that deserves the utmost time sensitive follow ups from start to finish. Disappointed. We are seeking a different health system.

Dr. Striplin delivered my daughters baby by c- section a month ago and two weeks after she got a septic infection. She has been under his care since . She has been to his office twice today being the second. She has the worst experience with his staff they are so rude and unprofessional. Today they refused to see her because she has a balance from the delivery that she has not received a bill on yet and was unaware of the balance. She told them she could pay something on it but they told her she could not be seen unless she paid almost all of it. The office manager Tammy who refuses to give her last name is so unprofessional she calls you baby after being told not to. She has no clue my daughter was refused service. After I told her how my daughter was treated she said well she had a balance that has to be paid .. so Tammany money before patients , sorry to tell you that is poor business . You have a legal obligation to see your patients expecially after surgery and complications! He saved my daughter's life 18 years ago. He is delivered all 3 of my girls. When my youngest was strangling from her chord around her neck, he delivered her via emergency c-section within n less than one min. Jazmine graduated high school this year and is joining the Army. I wouldn't have her in my life if he hadn't been so quick to act. Thank God for a shift change in Nurses and that Dr. Scott took swift action to save my baby. I’ve been seeing Dr. Stripland since before he delivered my now 17 year old. I don’t even know where to start to describe how awesome he is. He’s incredibly easy to talk to. I love how he’s so laid back and at the same time you know he knows he’s so smart and so knowledgeable and no matter how busy he is, he has never makes me feel like he’s rushing with me to get to his next patient, he stays until he knows he’s answered all of my questions. I‘m terrible about going to the Dr and I think I dislike going to see the gynecologist more than I hate going to the dentist so I have gone long long periods without seeing him but he always remembers me and of course he fussed at me for not keeping up with my check ups but I understand that it’s because he truly cares. As for his staff, I have zero complaints, they’re always very profesional and welcoming every time I go. So needless to say, I highly recommend Dr. Stripland and his staff, he truly is about down to earth as they come and I work in the medical field, so I am very much aware of how arrogant some Doctors can be, he’s not one of them. I LOVE Dr. Striplin. I just delivered my first baby with him, and I will be going back for my future babies. He is quick and to the point and does not beat around the bush. I personally like that. I will say a couple of his front desk staff could be more polite and unfortunately they seem more concerned about you paying a bill than how you're doing. That's my only complaint. But the lady who checks you out is the sweetest! I LOVE Dr. Striplin. I just delivered my first baby with him, and I will be going back for my future babies. I had no issues with Dr Striplin himself, but the office staff is awful! I won’t be back!

He’s a wonderful doctor that delivered my son. When my son’s heart rate was dropping he worked hard to deliver him without me needing a c-section. With coaching on breathing and pushing. He wasn’t rude or snappy about it but helpful. He’s straight forward and gets to the point. Never had a problem with him. I have zero clue why people are mention his sexual orientation, that has nothing to do with his services as an OBGYN. Dr Striplin delivered both my boys, 19 and 16 years ago. He followed my birth plan, explained adjustments as needed, and kept a calm upbeat attitude throughout. I am so very grateful for him!

Saw him 2 times in the last month for abnormal bleeding, all he did was give me follow up appointments, no pelvic exam, no meds, both times I ended up in the ER getting blood transfusions. He did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP ME. Hope he does better for you. I'd never go back to him, I could have DIED waiting for him to do something.

Best doctor EVER!

I have seen Dr.Scott Striplin for over a year an knew hem before that his great id prefer hem to anyone

I’ve been seeing doctor striplin for years and he is a very honest dr with amazing bedside manners! He’s the best doctor I’ve seen.

Dr. Striplin has delivered all 3 of my babies and done my hysterectomy. I have seen him for the past 10 years and he is by far the best doctor alive in this profession. Reading some of these reviews , I can honestly tell people have no life . I have known this man for years and the stuff some of these people are saying really must not know him because he would never do these things to anyone . He is up front about things and will tell you how it is . I think more doctors should be like him ! If I could give 10 stars I most definitely would. I feel comfortable there. All the staff members are great.

He delivered two of my children. He is hands down the best doctor I've ever encountered. So down to earth and funny but professional! I would recommend to him to anyone

Very unprofessional I have on video tape with audio of him screaming at my daughter tell my daughter that she was stupid that she was not paying attention that she's listening to other medical professional people who don't know what they're talking about that the problem she was going to be down that she was just acting retarded and was hollering at her and eventually told her that he had enough he didn't want to talk to her anymore and she need To leave his office. They put a numbing agent in her arm it wasn't even in there three minutes before he come in and started slicing her arm to take the birth control lounge and when she was telling him that it was hurting he told her just shut up and it would be OK . Something needs to be done about this doctor when my daughter went into labor he was going on vacation and it was inconvenience for her being in labor so he took a vacuum and put it on my grandsons head and he wasn't even ready to come out the vacuum popped off of his head he did it again my grandson came out with a 6 inch not as big around as two golf balls he is almost 3 years old and he still bears that from Dr. Striplin forcing her to give birth when her body wasn't ready then when the baby came out he said good I'm glad this is done now I can go on my vacation and not have to worry about you. Also when he goes in the room he wants to talk to patient about his gay relationship and his gay lover people don't want to hear about that you're not interested in that something needs to be done about him I'm going to take the video and audio tape that I have and give it to the medical board. Awesome, gets the job done.

Awesome Doctor didn't even feel him doing the exam. Plus he was very compassionate towards my daughter who has been having problems with her periods. Would recommend him to anyone.

Best doctor in Covington! He always takes his time and answers all my questions, and if I don't understand he will explain everything to me before I live the office! he delivered my son and I was very pleased with the way he did everything during my labor I only stayed in labor for 12 hours which isn't that long!!!!! I LOVE THIS DOCTOR!

Dr Striplin is always rushing!! He doesn't take the time to answer questions and he makes you feel like he doesn't have time to answer yours. Myself and my 2 daughters went there and they both hated going and said they'll never go back!! It's sad because he delivered my last child 19 years ago. Oh well

My water broke & I was having contractions but just wasn't dilating. I literally sat in labor for 18 hours. Finally the nurses told me it was time to push. After about 10 min of pushing Striplin walks in and the nurses tell him they had been trying to get a hold of him and his response was, "Im sorry, I overslept and my phone was dead." My child was born with pretty bad injuries to his head & as soon as he was born he was taken away to be checked for bleeding on his brain & had broke collarbone.

Waited 2 hours for nothing! Apparently my daughters name was supposedly called 3 times. She was there the whole time wondering why everyone else had been taken. I stepped outside once. Doctor went home... What an inept staff. Won't be going back. Was charged upfront even though our insurance doesn't have a co pay
