Dr. Scott Allen Steingard

My sister could not get an appointment with Dr. Steinguard he would always be too busy. He had a doctor that helped him out there named Milissa Cooper. My sister kept getting stuck with her and she was treating her for acid reflux for the longest time, approximately 9 months. My Sister went and had an esophageal endoscopy and nothing significant was found and the G.I. doctor said you better clean up your diet but the problem is that her diet was already squeaky clean. The pain and cough kept getting worse. Her final appointment with Dr. Cooper she begged Dr. Cooper to address this cough that she had had for nine months. Dr. Cooper wanted to spend the time writing down all the details of a dog bite that had already healed and my sister had received care for at an urgent care. Finally my sister insisted this cough was super painful please address it and Dr. Cooper said I’m leaving this practice in two weeks and I don’t want to order any tests because I won’t be able to follow them and you’ll have to make another appointment here with Another doctor. Dr. Cooper would not tell her where she was leaving to go. A little off the subject but I feel like Dr. Cooper was ripping off the insurance company when my sister went in for a cough and then Dr. Cooper refused to discuss the cough or address it in any way and wrote extensively about a pasT injury that had already been treated and healed. A few days later my sister was able to get another doctor at that practice to order a chest x-ray and what it showed was a large lung lesion. A CT scan was ordered of the chest which was done at Simon Medical and the results were not delivered to my sister for a week and a half. Lung cancer. I would stay away from this doctors practice if you want to stay healthy and you want to not be annoyed that no one cares about your health. My sister is literally the nicest person on the planet. This story really rips my heart out. I hope that someone else can benefit from it. Sincerely, Real tears of sadness.

Absolutely terrible with communication or following through with anything. Their patients are obviously just a number and a paycheck to them, nothing more. Everything went downhill after they sold their practice. Look elsewhere if you want quality care from an efficient and compassionate medical team.

Dr. Scott was a fine doctor until Optum Care acquired his practice. But due to the restrictions that the company put on him, his services provided have waned. Plus he is located in an area of Phoenix that is starting to severely degrade. For both reasons is why I found a different doctor closer to home.

I’ve been going here for YEARS. I usually see Tiffany Tapia, she is the best doctor I’ve had. Highly recommend this place. The vibes are amazing and everyone is so patient and sweet.

Staff has always been pleasant to me and fills my medications when needed. always explains my labs to me every 3 months after I have my blood drawn.

I absolutely loved working with Dr. Jason H. Turner! Professional, committed, compassionate, and attentive all describe his approach to his patients. So why, you may ask, am I giving a 1 star review? The rest of the Steingard Medical Group (or whatever they are calling themselves now) deserve zero stars! At some point last fall, Dr. Steingard and Dr. Cooper sold the practice to another company. In doing that, I would expect the practice to communicate with the patients as to what changed and what they need to do (if anything)! Instead, silence. When shopping for 2019 health insurance, Steingard Medical Group could not identify which insurance plans they would be accepting into the new year. Searching insurance networks was made virtually impossible because they couldn't identify which name was being used in the various insurance networks. Then, while dealing with a parent in hospice and ultimately passing away, I get a letter from Steingard dismissing me as a patient with no specific information as to what I did "wrong"! I can identify what they have done wrong. NO MEANINGFUL COMMUNICATIONS with patients when changing the name of the practice nor communicating which insurance plans they would be accepting in 2019. No meaningful outreach to assist patients while the practice undergoes this ownership change. In short, Dr. Steingard and Dr. Cooper don't give a flying rat's butt about ANY of their patients. I strongly urge anyone considering this practice to take their medical care elsewhere. Dr. Steingard and Dr. Cooper simply do not care about their patients! Most poorly run medical practice I have seen in ages. Support staff are incompetent and highly unprofessional. They are not responsive to messages and cannot follow basic claim instructions from the insurance company. Claims remain unpaid but they don't communicate this to the patient. Then when they do, they expect the patient to return a call in 10 minutes or they take further action. I would NOT trust this provider for ANYTHING!

Don't answer phones on business hours called at 7 am Monday

Dr. Steingard is thorough and very helpful. He's conscientious and personable. I've found his office to be efficient even though they're very busy.

He is very friendly and knowledgeable but it is a an assembly line practice. I had some strange abnormalities in my blood work and received a call from a nurse to call a specialist for some tests. I called and they answered Arizona Oncology! This is not a caring way to handle patients. Luckily for me all is ok and do not have any cancer but gave left the practice. Just heard today of a similar occurrence with my son in law so do not recommend thus practice. It us all about volume through
