Horribly managed practice with mediocre service. Would not recommend this physician. His treatment was just ok but front office and emergency response was poor. Had pediatric emergency where my daughter was in horrible pain. I requested an emergency appointment. The scheduler was rude and Dr. Sirlin refused to see my daughter. He left us in a lurch with no options. We had an awful experience and my daughter suffered for two weeks before we could get an appointment and good diagnosis from another pediatric GI specialist. New specialists also speculated that Sirlin may have performed an unnecessary exploratory procedure on my child when she was 6 years old. I have tried unsuccessfully to schedule and appointment for my son who received a referral to this doctor. I specifically asked his pediatrician to send me to to him based off of the rave reviews but after a week with no response this is very unprofessional. I even drove out of my way to his office to schedule an appointment and the door was locked and the lights were off. If this doctor or his staff can’t find time to respond to phone calls then he certainly can’t be as great as everyone say he is. I would say I wouldn’t recommend but you probably couldn’t reach his off to schedule an appointment. Dr. Sirlin is an amazing doctor and helped my son tremendously. Very professional and I highly recommend him!

Dr. Sirlin is amazing!

Dr. Sirlin is absolutely wonderful. He is friendly, thorough, and great with kids. A true blessing for my son.

Dr. Sirlin is really great.. He & the lady working in his clinic are so kind. Dr. Sirlin definitely knows what he is doing. I am so lucky to take my son to his clinic.

Once Sirlin gets you to agree to an exploratory op procedure, you are on your own. Sirlin is more concerned with taking notes, the sole purpose of which is to protect himself from malpractice. Abundant in details but inaccurate in critical facts, and lacking basic grammar or punctuation, his transcripts read like "hedge my bets" narrative of "he said/she said”. Limited to Crohn's and IBS. Surgery and endoscopy is "the fix" for anything else. Avoid at all cost.

Dr Sirlin has been a tremendous asset to our children and our family. Helping us with the issues of our children and has been a huge support for our children's well being. Thank-you.

Dr. Sirlin is a super hero to our family. He is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and has a wonderful bed side manner like no other! We had a long road to healing, and you were right there every step of the way! We love you Dr. Sirlin.

Remember visiting Dr. Sirlin over 20 years ago when he was practicing in Knoxville, TN, just thought of his name and Googled to see he's still in practice. I had a bad case of esophageal reflux when I was young, and I went to see him a number of times, including for outpatient surgery. He always seemed very caring and professional. I remember being anxious surrounded by anesthesiologists and nurses while being prepped in the OR, then seeing him walking in the room and feeling instantly at ease. What doctors should be. Dr. Sirlin is an exceptional doctor and human being. He took the time to truly understand my daughter's needs when other GI's wouldn't even try. My wife and I are happier than we have been for awhile knowing our child is in good hands. I couldn't provide a higher recommendation for Dr. Sirlin.

Our man issue is with scheduling and the front office. Every time I would call to schedule my sons checkup the receptionist (same lady every time) would get very annoyed at our availability. My son is Autistic and has MANY appointments throughout the week. She is just so rude and always made me feel as if I was disturbing her at trying to find a time that works. Also I have felt that the Doctor has just shoved an over the counter drug at my child instead of finding the source of the issues.

I have known Dr. Scott Sirlin professionally for over 10 years now. I exclusively refer all of my pediatric and child patients with gastrointestinal problems to Dr. Sirlin. Dr. Sirlin is a leader in his field, and it has been wonderful to have a professional of his high calibre in Loudoun County. Dr. Sirlin is awesome. If you need him, he is there for you. He saw my daughter promptly, and has been very patient with us. I can recommend no doctor in his specialty over him.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Sirlin to friends or family. He is thorough and wants to get it right. Our pediatrician repeatedly misdiagnosed my daughter until we saw Dr. Sirlin who took the time to listen to her symptoms and respond with the appropriate medically necessary tests. I trust him to take care of her as an individual and that is hard to find these days.

Have brought both my boys to him -- one nine years ago (a toddler) and the other this year (a teenager) because I remember how great he was. He is still great! After other doctors and specialists had trouble diagnosing their GI problems accurately, it is refreshing to have a doctor who is a great diagnostician and solves the problem. He gives you plenty of time and makes you and your kids feel very comfortable. It's sometimes hard finding good doctors, but Dr. Sirlin is one of the best.

Horribly managed practice.We were given an appt for 10 AM.The Receptionist confirmed but later left a VM on my wife's phone ito confirm again.Having a colic baby, she did not check it.When we reached we were told we did not confirm & hence asked to wait. We patiently waited for 40 mins till our turn came. Then we were ushered to the exam room & asked to undress the baby & wait(30mins) for the doc only for the doc to show up & say we got to come back at 1! On r way out the receptionist misbehaved

My infant was struggling with extreme reflux and was losing weight quickly. Other doctors were not offering appointments for over a month, but Dr. Sirlin saw us right away and immediately started her on a course of treatment that has been working amazingly well. She had a few setbacks at the start while the medications were kicking in, and he was always available, even once late at night when we had to go to the hospital. I am so happy we found him. My daughter is now thriving.

I never write reviews online, but I have been completely blown away by the care my daughter has received from Dr. Sirlin. He is incredibly thorough, always taking his time with us to answer any questions. He listens attentively, takes detailed notes, conveys information clearly and professionally, yet is still personable and deals well with parents and children alike. We are so grateful our child is in his care; for the first time I feel as though a doctor is examining all possible root issues rather than just managing symptoms and sending us on our way. Although he is not within any network for insurance, the care he provides is excellent and we will gladly pay slightly higher rates to have him as our child's pediatric GI. Dr Sirlin has helped our son Alex since 2005. After 11 months of seizures and countless Dr's visits, it was our visit to Dr Sirlin that led to diagnosis of Alex's encenophilac esphogitis. Dr Sirlin diagnosed it on our first visit; got us to an allergist who prescribed Prednisone. Alex's year of seizures (probably 1,000 total) was over in 2 days. All thanks to the expertise of Dr Sirlin, who basically saved Alex's life. And, this month (Jan 2012), Dr Sirlin has again helped us with Alex. We are awaiting the results of an endoscopy, but we are happy to be in Dr Sirlin's capable and caring hands. Thank you, Dr Sirlin, and your team for always taking such good care of our son.
