Dr. Scott Seidel

I’ve had two appointments with Scott - one a few years ago and one recently. He is extremely rude and dismissive. He does not listen to my questions or concerns about my eyes. He does not explain anything or attempt to diagnose me. The first appointment, I asked him a question, and then he immediately slammed the door on me.. The second appointment, he walked out as I was answering his question, then he returned and literally threw my prescription at me. I’d never met a doctor this hostile in 53 years of life. I cannot fathom how he obtained his license or how he is still practicing. If you need any kind of insight or opinions about your eyes, I would absolutely stay away from Scott.

A competent eye doctor. He checked my eye health and prescription and got me in new glasses. He had some trouble with my prisms but got them right in the end. Also, my autism poses a big barrier in eye exams, and I think he found that difficult to work around. This was one of my worst experiences in healthcare. I expressed deep concerns about my blurry vision and my previous RX not being strong enough. He dismissed my concerns and told me he can’t do much so just bare with him. During the exam I told him the options still weren’t as clear as they should be and used to be. He responded “well those are your eyes, nothing i can do about them.” His response was extremely unprofessional and didn’t acknowledge my concerns. As someone who has worn contacts and glasses for over 20 years I am very familiar with how an eye exam should go. He handed me a RX paper and pushed me out the door without answering my questions about contacts versus glasses and ordering. I will not be returning to him ever again, and considering if i should go to a different provider to redo my exam because I am not confident with the accuracy of his exam. It was a get in and get out appointment in under 10 minutes. As a healthcare provider myself I understand the pressure to get to every patient but this was just unacceptable for patient care. Dr Seidel was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions without hesitation and provided information on what is going on with my eyes today and what they will be watching for in the future. This is important to a diabetic and senior.

He was outstanding. As a diabetic, eye care is a huge concern of mine. He listened and showed genuine concern. Every thing he did, he explained in detail. He also showed respect and care for my future--offering advice until we meet again or if I should notice anything, when I should come back earlier. Wonderful staff! Wonderful experience! So glad to have found a MH doctor, not always at main campus, to help with my health care.

Professional, thorough and nice. We discussed my conditions, medications, options and follow up. He gave me all the necessary paperwork I needed. He answered all my questions and did not rush. I would highly recommend him!
