Brought my daughter to Dr Schorr who was having GI bleeding and abdominal pain. Her sister has history of Crohns, so we were worried she had it also. Dr Schorr blew us off completely. Didn’t even assess her abdomen to see where the pain was. Didn’t think to check any bloodwork or stools. Told us it’s probably viral and it will clear up in 2 weeks. Brought her elsewhere where they did a calproectin (which was over 200), and the colonoscopy showed Crohns. This doctor does not take his patient’s seriously and shouldn’t be practicing. The entire experience was top notch at Southern Gastro, highly recommend

Dr. Schorr is very condescending, uncaring, dismissive and disrespectful. He chose to talk over me rather than to listen to me, his patient. I broke down into tears in his presence and he chose to walk out of the exam room. I’ve had an ongoing terribly painful problem (24/7) and have been passed from one doctor to the next for over a year now. I made the mistake of mentioning when my pain first started in Jan. 2020, the first doctor I saw (GYN) referred me to my hospitals pain management center for possible nerve blocks to see if that would help. It didn’t nor have any type of pain meds. Dr. Schorr said he wasn’t going to prescribe me narcotics for undiagnosed pain. I didn’t ask for any.. I felt like he thought I was a junkie. That’s when I broke down... I told him I don’t want pain meds.. they don’t work. I just want a doctor to find out what’s wrong with me. I sobbed all the way home. If you want a caring and compassionate doctor I highly suggest you go see someone else.

I've had no bad experiences with Dr. Schorr personally. His staff is rude, don't seem to care about their business, and don't return calls. Today I told a staff member that indicated they have been there 16 years, that if I didn't bet a call back I would communicate my displeasure and a physician change to my primary care physician that sent lab results and asked me to contact Dr. Schorr. I've left 4 messages and have not had a call back.

Entire visit and the endoscopies were extremely caring, professional and carefully performed.

Waited 15 minutes to get noticed at the check-in window. I filled the paperwork out online but they DON'T USE EMAIL and they wouldn't let me send it to them

Dr. Schorr came highly recommended by one of my health specialists. His front office staff were professional and friendly. Very disappointed in my overall experience with the doctor. He was condescending and implied that my chronic stomach pain was the result of my own doing. Even after I explained that my pain is constant and at times debilitating. He then prescribed meds and told me to return in 6 weeks. No diagnostic tests. No triage of any kind. Needless to say I didn’t bother filling the prescriptions and certainly didn’t bother returning for my follow up appt. He may want to consider retirement if he’s no longer interested in maintaining positive patient-to-physician relationships. Dr. Schorr came highly recommended by one of my health specialists. This was my 2nd experience w/Dr. Schorr after having 2 office visits w/him. He is very professional, caring & went to great lengths to ensure I understood the procedure & possible outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Schorr for & this facility for any gastrointestinal needs. From Natasha at the front desk & billing, to Ms. Terri who was my nurse& Ms. Margaret who managed to get my IV in, and lastly Ms. Lela who made sure I was fine at the end, I say "Thank you all" for a job well done. I have been a patient of Dr. Schorr for many years. I have acid reflux and a family history of colon cancer. I trust him. So much so i brought my only child to him. Though she had numerous abdominal complaints, he explained the numerous causes of them. He recommended certain changes to diet and over the counter meds. After awhile she continued to complain and he said the only way to rule out something more severe was to do a sigmoidoscopy and a endoscopy. After performing both he found nothing , thankfully. The office is terribly rude and unprofessional. Handing you a stack of papers removes all need to be helpful or accurate in what they say. Tell you one thing in person and hide behind releases or other forms. Doctor mildly interested in patients.

Really terrible experience. Dr. Schorr did not talk with me extensively at all before prescribing generic over the counter medicine which I repeatedly told him I’ve used before and own and did not like. He must have assumed I was using the medicine wrong and did not allow for further discussion on what to prescribe. Unfriendly. And extremely disappointing. The staff was so kind to me when I came in to schedule an appointment. Maybe if you see a different doctor at this practice you will have a better experience. He suggested I schedule an appointment 8-10 weeks later, I will not be attending this follow up appointment. I am very upset with the experience I’ve had here and hope you will not make the same mistake I did with not regarding the negative reviews. I went to Dr. Schorr two weeks after going to the ER on August 28th 2018 for Gi related issues. I kept having horrible pain in my stomach, back, and along my right rib cage. It felt like anything I ate my body reacted very extreme to it and my body was freaking out due to the pain. When I went to Dr. Schorr he told me that it's probably just acid reflux and that my anxiety was getting the better of me. I explained to him that I lost 7 pounds in two weeks and that I'm struggling to even go to work because this pain is horrible. The next time I saw him I asked my mother in law to go with me so we can make it more clear that I am not doing well. He honestly didn't seem reassuring and order tests. That night I threw up and almost passed out since all I ate that day was a bagel . My manger asked me to take a leave till I get my medical stuff figured out and so I wont lose my job. We started to do tests, Hida and a endo etc they came back neg., however the next fun issue was the FMLA paperwork. . I thought at first he needed time to see the results to then fill out my paper work.(the results were neg btw) So,my insurance and my job needed any type of paper to try and to approve my leave I requested a medical note and my medical records. I was disappointed greatly when I saw that the first few words he used to describe me was "emotional woman presents with...etc" My job and insurance told me that the paper work didn't have enough details about certain things so they really needed the FMLA paperwork for me to be approved. In the end he said he would not fill out my paper work. I went from 150 pounds to 130 in two months. I was throwing up, I could not work and I was basically bed ridden for over a month. I got unapproved leave of absence and had to suffer with disciplinary action at my job. THANK A GOD when my psychiatrist told me to take out my implant that I got on July 31st 2018, because he was strongly against it. We found out it was my birth control implant that was causing me my Gi issues. . After I got my implant out A LOT of my gi issues went away. What is amusing is that the first day I went to him about these issues I mentioned that I got my birth control implant on July 31st and he "doubted" it was that. Most of the staff was nice. His nurse was ok. I have never written a review like this before but people need to be warned about how he sees his patients. Do I want to dismiss the whole group of doctors that work with/around him? No. Do I want to make it clear that you shouldn't see Dr. Schorr? Hell yes. Dr. Schorr was very thorough and helpful. I have had a year + long GI problems. I liked the plan and medication treatment plan. It was a little frustrating when I needed to confirm my records were received in the Snellville office and the main line phone number was at a different office and could not help me with the confirmation. Due to his lack of care, and attention to details for his patients please don't see him. A lot could have been avoided if he just listen and looked at my background history. In the end another doctor found out what was going on however I ended up paying thousands of dollars and since he wouldn't fill out my FMLA paper work I had to transfer to another store and lose my standing at my job and had to start over at the bottom. Now It will be so hard to trust a doctor.

Horrible place to go to. I have been waiting over a month for test results and I can get anyone to give me an answer nor contact anyone here. Horrible and now I have to go somewhere else to do it all over again. Bills are piling up and no answers don't go here

The doctor was awesome and i liked him !!!!

Dr. Schorr is a very kind and caring doctor. He takes the time to really listen to you and to explain everything. I feel very confident in his diagnosis and treatment plans. I would highly recommend him.

Doctor Schorr seems to be a friendly and knowledgeable doctor. Unfortunately, that does not make up for his unprofessional office staff. They do not call you when the results of your follow up tests come in. When you call them, they do not answer your calls. They promise to get back to you on the patient portal but they do not. My two personal and private letters to DR Schorr complaining about his staff were not answered. I had to get my files from them and am now looking for another doctor.

Dr. Schorr has been my gastroenterologist for over a decade now. He has performed several endoscopies on me and I have never had a bad experience. He is smart, skilled, and extremely competent. Exactly what you want in an endoscopist (and a doctor).
