About Dr. Scott Raymond Ross
Reviews for Dr. Scott Raymond Ross
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Ross for almost a decade, so I don’t take pleasure in writing this review. The lack of concern or care shown by the staff at this location is appalling. They do not communicate in a timely manner, if ever. We’re approaching six months from the date I scheduled a follow up appointment for an ineffective procedure and I still don’t have a date for the next procedure. After waiting 3 weeks for a reply to my last email, I called again and was told their scheduler has 14 business days (3 weeks) to contact me for a shot that Dr. Ross ordered on 16 Feb. “That’s just the process.” Clearly, their process is the priority. The patient is part of the revenue stream. Do yourself a favor and find a pain medicine clinic that values their patients and cares about the pain you’re enduring.
Refused to continue my medicine
Didn’t examine me. Just kept wanting to one manipulate after another. He’s not even an MD.
Long wait times, and scheduling personnel do not communicate or return calls to schedule a procedure.
I was Dr. Ross's patient for over three years and have nothing but positive comments about Dr. Ross's professionalism, bedside manner, and technique.
DR. SCOT ROSS and his staff lack compassion and integrity! My sister has Occipital Neuralgia, a very painful condition. During her appointment she told the PA how difficult it was to wait for the MRI & appointment, but had hung on until that day, trusting the Dr. could help her! The PA told her that nothing would be done for her that day and probably nothing at all, could be done. My sister began to cry, which led to a migraine! She asked for an ice pack & the PA told her they didn’t have such things. Finally she did bring an ice pack but gave no word of comfort to a sobbing patient. The moment the Dr. came in, he began berating my sister. He was insulted by her attitude! How dare she insinuate that he didn’t care, although he was proving that fact all too well. Yelling at a patient in pain & so obviously distressed is beyond cruel! No one endures pain--patiently! Finally, he coolly tells her he can do nothing for her! So with Covid19, why make a 69-year-old woman come in at all?
Dr. Ross and his staff are so wonderful. I am a new to the Springs and was scared about seeing a new doctor for my back pain. I have never felt so welcomed by his staff. His nurse was so sweet to me and calmed my nerves. His scheduler got me in right away for my procedure. Dr. Ross assured me I would be fine and explained everything in detail to me. Thank god for these angels for helping me with my pain.
Took my 91-yr-old mom to Dr. Ross for a consultation. He was going to speak with her PCP within 4 days to discuss the feasibility for a pain-relieving injection. Over a month later, after having left 3 voice messages asking what he and her PCP decided, neither Dr. Ross nor his assistant have bothered to call us back for any update at all. Mom's in limbo and still in pain. We won't be back.
I have received care from Dr. Ross for 10 years and returned to him after moving to Europe and not receiving proper care for my condition. Dr. Ross and his staff are a top notch professional team. He worked with my condition over 2 years to pinpoint the cause and tailor a manageable treatment plan. I am able to continue to work, travel and maintain an somewhat normal life because of his patience, determination and empathy.
My daughter & I have been seeing DR Ross for 2 years now. We have never had an issues with him or his staff. His staff is top notch especially all the nurses! He explains everything in detail. We need to keep in mind that he is a human being not GOD or a miracle worker. He does what he is skilled to do nothing more. My 1st RF worked wonders for 9 months the 2nd did nothing. The nerves do grow back & can even become worst. This is out of his control. My daughter is a competitive gymnast who has Bastrop Syndrome. He praises her for doing it for so many years and dealing with that pain. He unlike most doctors said to her " I cannot tell you to give up the sport you love however that will the best way to fully be pain free" he genuinely told her I will do everything in my power to make you have a successful season and he has! She says he is her angel! She tumbles now with no issues. She wanted me to tell him she placed 3rd all around in her 1st meet and could not have done it without him
Dr Ross is an awesome Doctor and really does care about his patients! I trust him completely and love his staff. I’m so very thankful I found him!! Thank you Dr. Ross.
I had a great appointment with Dr Ross. He was informative, explaining why he performed the physical exam in the manner he did. Dr Ross went over the options available and presented a treatment plan that made sense. Dr Ross also has a plan should the current treatment plan not completely resolve the problem. Getting the appointment was very easy and timely. I highly recommend Dr Ross and his team.
Aww
Canceled my appointment twice now and expect me to wait another 3 weeks.
Working with Dr. Ross's office has been the worst experience I have ever had dealing with any medical provider. They lied to me when they said they were in network with my insurance I asked them Working with Dr. Ross's office has been the worst experience I have ever had dealing with any medical provider. They lied to me when they said they were in network with my insurance I asked them multiple times to confirm I was in network when making the appointment and the day of the appointment. I spent 3 months to get the bill reduced then they disregarded the the arrangement and turned it over to collections. Now they just scream at me over the phone when I call. I did not get the procedure I went in for and if I would have I guess I would be on the hook for thousands. I have spent untold hours dealing with this one Dr. appointment and received absolutely no benefit from them. They got my deductible when I checked in. In my opinion they should reimburse it to me much less coming after me for

I highly recommend contacting another physician unless you don't mind having to leave multiple multiple voice messages and still not hear anything back from the office. When Sara the office manager finally did call back she was rude and short.
We couldn’t have had a more amazing experience! Dr Ross is one of those rare docs that have the perfect blend of compassion and expertise. He explained things in a clear manner, provided a diagnosis that we understood and gave us s game plan. His staff was terrific and went above and beyond to help us set up them next step! Adam you are great!Shantusha, your dedication, professionalism and caring are greatly appreciated. We highly recommend Dr Ross and his team, best of the best!!!
Dr. Ross is a professional in every sense of the word. He takes the time to listen, and explains everything so it can be easily understood. He started my treatment conservatively, but didn’t hesitate to refer me to another doctor that could help me more. That says a lot about this man—he’s not in it for the money, he’s in it to really help patients. His office staff is simply amazing. They are the kindest, sweetest, welcoming bunch of folks I have ever met. I can’t thank them enough!
I am a new patient at this office. It did take some time to get in but I can honestly say it was well worth it. The staff was amazing so caring. Dr. Ross has a wonderful plan for me. He took the time to listen to me. I am so thankful. Having constant pain is so hard to live with but with Dr Ross as my doctor I know I M in great hands.
DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. Trust me, this review is 100% true and not only have I experienced it but many people that I know have stopped going to this office. Dr Ross doesnt care about his patients, he only cares about money. His wife lacks business skill, decency, and common courtesy for others and grossly mismanages his office. His staff rarely returns phone calls, when they do they make excuses, are uninformed and completely rude. No one go to this self serving idiot!
I highly recommend Dr. Ross. His level of knowledge and patient care is unparalleled. I have treated with several pain management facilities over the last three years, and Dr. Ross and his staff are by far the best. Office staff are responsive and caring, and go above and beyond to make sure that you have the best of care.
Dr. Ross is one of the most caring individuals I have had in my 71 years of existence. He is extremely polite and listens to a persons concerns. Offers excellent advice and other options to try. If you are considering pain management he is the one I have recommended to many of my friends. His staff is also very polite, courteous and professional. I would go no where else. Never in a hurry to get you in/out the door, but patiently listens.
Dr. Ross has treated my chronic low back pain for over 7 years now and has treated my wife for over a decade. He has found pain mgmt solutions that are safe and effective for my LEO career and active lifestyle. His staff are so welcoming and courteous.Walking into his office after so many years, we feel like family. I wouldn’t be able to be in my current job without Dr. Ross’ help and he’s helped my wife, who has severe pain from autoimmune disease, stay mobile. We just wish he could be our PCP!
What Dr.Ross says and does about treatment is not followed. Spent about 30 min discussing a treatment plan with him about an SPG block for cluster headaches and we both agreed that it may not last for more than a few days at best. So we where going to just going to treat it with pain medicine which he said he had no problem doing because the dosage was only used shortly a few times a year. Almost a year later he would not fill script to help me with my cluster headache. Do not trust what he says

I suffered with chronic pain in both hips. My healthy active lifestyle was no longer possible as exercise caused extreme pain. My first visit with Dr. Ross and his staff was two weeks ago. Dr. Ross took the time that most physicians don’t these days – he was very personable, professional and we discussed a comprehensive plan to alleviate the immediate symptoms and prevent future problems. I am happy to say I have been pain free since that day! I can now sleep and exercise without pain!

He was so rude to me, and wouldn't listen. He didn't try to find out where my pain comes from, and treated me like dirt. He rushed through the appointment because he wanted me gone. Today was my first appointment with him, and I left his office crying because he refused to help me. He just wants money, and he does not care. Do not go to him! I don't know where all these positive reviews are coming from. Go find a real doctor!!!!
I call Dr Ross's office last week after being told I need a lumbar epidural . I was scheduled Tuesday May 1st for a consult with Dr Ross. My procedure is scheduled May 7, 2018. I meant Dr Ross as an in patient at Penrose Main Hospital in February 2018, at that time i needed surgery . He is the most compassionate caring doctor. He staff is knowledgeable and efficient getting my procedure approved by insurance while I was in office. I would recommend Dr Ross pain management . Thank you

Dr. Ross has been my physician for over 6 years. I recommend Dr. Ross because he is a very caring and intelligent doctor. He is easy to talk to and does not rush through a visit.
I had been dealing with lower back pain for decades. I had learned to "push through the pain" and when it got really bad...take Aleve and/or apply Voltaren gel. Voltaren is great. But, after my diagnosis; Dr. Ross recommended a Bilateral radio frequency neurotomy. I had this procedure performed on L4/5 and L5/S1 by Dr. Ross in January. The results have been AMAZING. The pain I've lived with forever is GONE!!! I am able to do more and even have started to lose weight. Dr. Ross is GREAT!
Dr Ross is the best back pain doctor I have ever been treated by. He is very caring and professional. I have had back problems since the age of 23...I am 75 now. He takes very good care to make me feel better. I see the bad reviews and know they are not justified. He is not a miracle worker nor can he help everyone but he deserves the highest rating for trying. He and his staff are excellent!!!! Thank you

Dr. Ross is one of the most genuine, and, caring pain management doctors that I have come to know. He may also be one of the busiest but he is definitely worth the wait to see him. He, and his amazing staff, has gone over and beyond the call of duty for me to make sure that I am no longer in pain. Because of his outstanding work he is a bit on the busy/booked side. Again, make the effort to see him. He will truly listen to your concerns and address each one.

My consultation with Dr. Ross was very thorough. He was very patient, caring and requested tests to determine the origin of my pain. After an injection in my back, I can truly say I am pain free! His staff was friendly, professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Dr. Ross to anyone suffering sever pain.

I have been seeing Dr Ross for almost a year. Recently my pain medications for my back have not been working so he changed my meds and ordered me an MRI. I have been calling his office for over 3 weeks. The first call I was told by receptionist that my MRI results was too long and he didn't have time to read them. The second time I was told he is too busy and the third time his receptionist said he was out of town. He has no problem sending me a $300 bill.
It was an honor and pleasure to have had Dr. Ross care for my active duty husband during the time we were stationed at USAF Academy. So thankful they referred us to him. His level of care and expertise is outstanding. If you are truly seeking an excellent physician in this field, he is the one to seek. We did our homework and received feedback from other active duty members who recommended him as the "best". Even his staff is excellent. Highly highly recommend.
Doctor Ross has been my pain specialist on and off for 14 years, through cancer, dual hip replacements, back injury, and arthritis. He has been compassionate, professional, and effective. Highly recommended. He's like a Navy Nuke officer for pain. Thorough, with every treatment and procedure carefully considered, planned, and executed. His staff are always friendly, and swamped. Best pain specialist in the Colorado, IMO.

I have been a patient with Dr. Ross for over a decade and I recommend him to everyone. He is not only kind, but shows obvious compassion for his patients not only as patients but as people. Throughout the time I have been his patient, he has never done me wrong and I am elated to have him as my Pain Management specialist. He is a blessing to my family and our lifestyle.

Dr. Ross is a horrible doctor. His assistants are very rude and he only cares about money. I am in a wheelchair making it difficult to get around and I waited four months for an appointment to see Dr. Ross only to get to the office to be turned away and be hounded for a past due bill. The past due bill for $300 is from my first 15 minute appointment where he sent me away until I had an MRI. Dr. Ross is aware of my current situation and the amount of pain I'm in but still refused to help me.

Dr. Ross is such a caring compassionate doctor. He listened to my problem and quickly had a solution. He knows I am private-pay and keeping that in mind, he prescribes meds that fit my budget and are also effective. Because I am private pay, he gave me prescriptions on paper instead of sending them electronically to pharmacies where I would have had to pay for all of them at once. This doctor is just amazing in how much he cares! If you don't like him, it's because you want to be the Dr...

I am shocked at the last review. I have been a patient of Dr Ross for over 12 years. He is a wonderful physician. He is extremely thorough, compassionate and well respected in Colorado Springs. Perhaps the person who left the last review didn't get what they were looking for.
Words do not express the amount of appreciation I have for this Doctor and his amazing set of skills. He was able to see my in a timely manor and gave me all the time I needed to hear out all of my problems. Dr. Ross is a very compassionate Dr. who helped me manage my pain for years. Any wait to see him is more than worth it. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of actual care to treat pain and not just look for a bandaid to fix the problem. The staff is beyond amazing.
Dr Ross and his office are truly lovely. His compassion for his patient is refreshing enlight of what healthcare is like these days. His staff are truly very helpful and goes beyond what is expected. Dr Ross takes the time to explain in words that I can understand what is going with my health and I certainly didn't feel like a number. I left feeling that had a plan and what steps were taking place next. Also I felt if I had a question I could definitely ask. I highly recommend Dr. Ross.
i just met Dr Ross today and I was so impressed. He was not only very thorough but extremely nice and informative. I'm grateful that my primary care physician referred me to him.
This a Dr. who needs to have his license revolved. Rude thinks he is the only Dr. Around I will not return to see him. This office does not return calls.

From scheduling through check-out, the entire process was smooth and it was obvious that I was not just some number to the entire staff. Everyone was friendly and committed to making sure that all of my questions were answered and that I was well informed about what to expect and what I needed to do. I would highly recommend Dr Ross and his staff to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ross for over 4 years. I had been to almost 5 specialists in 2 years and Dr. Ross was the one who took the time to properly diagnose me and get me to top notch neurosurgeons. He's provided continuing care to me and is always compassionate and understanding. He truly listens and his technical skills with injections are excellent. One of the best doctors I've ever had so I travel 110 miles round trip to see him since I've moved. Highly recommend to anyone.

12-28-16: ross receives referral for injection into neck disc. ross to "evaluate" and determine if office visit necessary b4 procedure done. 1-13-17: i call to ask, what's up, told he is still evaluating. 1-17: ross finally reviews and asks where mri taken. 1-19: they leave message that i have to come in and sign paperwork; i live in albuquerque, which they know. finally they agree to fax. i return 1-26 and leave voice mail which is to be returned w/i "24-48 hours". 1-31: have heard nothing.
Very caring doctor he made extra time on his procedure schedule and came in early to see me when he knew I was suffering. He took the time to answer all my questions without making me feel rushed when he clearly was very busy. I highly recommend to anyone needing an experienced, compassionate and knowledgeable pain management doctor.

Rude won't listen two faced when you are alone he is verbally abusive putting you down and as soon as someone from the hospital is in the room his attitude completely changes. He will say that he wants to do something and then it will take months for him to finally get to it. This doctor is in this for the money not for patients.
