It’s a shame that the only people that leave reviews are people that just seem to be negative and have nothing else to do. I’m writing this about 6 hours post op and sitting on the couch talking with my husband about how much my daughter and I like Dr. Press.( And it’s very hard to impress my daughter! lol) I think Dr. Press is very professional and knowledgeable. He also has a great personality. His office staff are wonderful as well. I would recommend Dr. Press to all of my family and friends. I hope that more people who have have a good experience would take the time to write a review. I normally don’t but I felt it necessary after reading the negative reviews. I just don’t get it. I’d also like to add… I’ve never had a long wait at his office either!

Worst urologist.. doesn’t explain anything assumes you know what’s wrong doesn’t explain procedures or medications. Just loves surgery he is a butcher.

He's the very best Dr I have! I wish I could see him for all my medical needs. His staff is also very courteous and helpful.

I wish I could leave a zero review however that is not possible. I had a green light laser procedure done through him and wound up with all sorts of complications that I have to live with. While I can't directly say that Dr. Press gave the advice of what I am about to tell you as I spoke with his nurse. I called explaining I had puss coming out of my p**** and was told that was all part of the surgery and normal; not to worry about it. My instinct told me that was not right as I was in a lot of pain and decided to go to the hospital where I found out I had a full blown infection through out the urinary system. As a result of this surgery I have to sit to urinate as it sprays everywhere, I have constant burning upon urination as well as constant leakage where I am wearing liners. Retrograde ejaculations that end in heavy burning rather then a good feeling. Incompetence is the best name I can give for this medical staff. Do your research before committing to anything!

Dr Scott Press saved me from dialysis. I was in the ER after not urinating for 3 days. Creatinine was 11.2, turned out I had bilateral stones blocking both kidneys. Dr Press placed bilateral stents and during my hospital stay my weight went from 224 to 209. The follow up visit in the Port Jeff office was an excellent experience. The office crew was friendly, helpful, and the process was streamlined so that two of my appointments I was in and out in less than 1 hour. Cannot say enough about them and would absolutely recommend Dr Press fr any kind of urological issue.

I can't believe that the 21st century is devoid of education and humanity in the health area. The doctors should not place racist, intolerant people in the reception area ( Staff area). Deporable experience!!

I would give no stars but that option is not available - receptionist is very rude and disrespectful! Called for 3 weeks, every other day to get my husbands test results and was told same thing every time “someone will get back to you” no one ever got back to me .. call again today and was given attitude by receptionist because I complained about it. She stated that she’s the only one there huffing and puffing at me and then proceeded to say again someone will get back to you .. worst Dr office ever!! Great Doctor. Horrible staff. Long waits and over two weeks for a prior authorization. Full of excuses and no results. Nothing ever done in a timely manner and staff get real testy that you should mention it. Very poor handling of prescription Renewal And their phone system is below par

I took my wife here for treatment.made an appointment first .The wait wasn't bad .And the staff was friendly.And the Dr Dr Press was very helpful.Whelpful.We are returning soon for more treatment..

Worst Dr. ever. Rude and dismissive.

I had been suffering from Kidney stones for a few weeks. I was recommended to see see Doctor Press. He didn't even examine me he just looked a written CAT Scan report and said I needed to have a Lithotripsy done. During the procedure he said he could not see the stone and would be unable to complete the procedure. I, still in pain asked how long it would take to schedule the new procedure. Dr. Press said it would be a quick turn around and said he wanted a new CAT scan done and he would prescribe pain meds in the interim. My wife and I called his office 5 times over the next few days and his office manager said she had not heard back from him? She also stated that there were no notes about a new CAT Scan or a prescription. I also received a call from the hospital the next day asking how I was feeling after the procedure? They were shocked to find out he did not complete the procedure and had no notes that the procedure was completed. Totally unprofessional to leave a patient in pain !

Office is a 1.5 to 2 hour wait every time Been here 5 times

"Dr" Press treated my teenaged son very poorly, ignoring his concerns and dismissing his situation asking him why he was even there and that he was healthy, young and fit and had no reason to see hi. He told my son he did not have an access nor a fistula. It turns out my son upon seeing anther did indeed have an access which did turn into a fistula for which he had surgery. "Dr." Press cost my son an extra three weeks of pain and delay in rectifying the problem because of his dismissive behavior and tune.

Long wait but well worth it. staff was very helpful and Dr offered me multiple approaches to my problem

Dr. was dismissive and his staff was unprofessional and rude. I highly recommend you avoid using his services.

Doctor got held up in emergency surgery at hospital but tried to catch up once he came in was worth wait very helpful and still took time with me

There was a long wait but the doctor was great

He Showed up a half hour AFTER my scheduled appointment, he had two patients waiting outside his office that was locked. Meanwhile he walks around the corner casually talking to his receptionist and holding a BOX OF DUNKIN DONUTS. Insane.

Dr. Press was very compassionate and took time to explain my results and options. The staff was very helpful as well.

Most arrogant condescending unhelpful doctor ever!! I've been in the medical field for 12 years. He is by far the worst. Take the trip to Stonybrook. It's worth it

Don't call and ask ant y questions. You will get a nurse with an attitude!! Also the ultrasound prostate exam is antiquated. Get with the new technology!! No stars at all this guy didn't return my calls!

I was admitted to Peconic Bay Medical center via an Emergency room visit. I waited 2 days to see Dr Press, because it was believed I'd need a procedure. He never showed up. He then sent someone to bring me to the OR, to do a procedure he never explained, never examined me and HE NEVER MET ME. I left because I refuse to be treated like that. Go see Dr Steven Sobey instead!!

Dr. Press is arrogant and condescending, and the wait time for him is never less than an hour. His office staff are almost as rude as the doctor.
