I had liposuction of abdomen done by Dr. Scott Moser about 5 years ago. The date I mentioned is only an approximation. This was before realself. The most important thing you need to remember is that Dr. Scott Moser, at that time, was making his patients sign a legal paper where you agree that you will never write a negative review about his work on the internet (pursuant to legal action). You can verify this with his other patients. He was (probably still is) essentially fooling the review system. He made me sign this paper at the last minute, minutes before surgery. I went along thinking what the heck, and I paid the price. At that time yelp was the source of my knowledge about doctors, and he had couple of good reviews on yelp. He also had a fancy office in downtown SF. He did a very good job marketing himself (he was also the most expensive among the surgeons I consulted -- which essentially made me think he was the best), but his skills are subpar as far as liposuction is concerned. I was not a particularly obese person. He did a good job removing fat from the front but his skills fell short on the sides. I was left with fat on both sides (love handle) and back, and even worse one of the love handles had more fat than the other (asymmetry). Essentially when I wore a beach shorts fat would bulge on the sides and the back in an awkward way. He also tried to remove fat from my chest area and did a useless job. I let him know I was unhappy about 6 months after surgery. He didn't apologize but said he is willing to do a corrective surgery for free (except I had to pay the anesthesiologist). I lost faith in him, and I had another lipo done in LA (Dr. Hansen) and I am very happy now. I had liposuction of abdomen done by Dr. Scott Moser about 5 years ago. I honestly have to say the staff was very professional and so welcoming, everytime i came for my laser appointment the staff was just so friendly and always had a smile on their face, from my second visit they had already known me by name. It was so nice to get such a personal experience and also to be informed of other services provided. I honestly have to say there was no negative experience, the staff went above and beyond every time. I had top surgery with Dr. Mosser in 2018. After years of thinking I would never be able to get this procedure done because I did not understand the insurance hurdles or had anything near me, his staff made it a reality. Huge props to the insurance guru I worked with named Jennifer: she and I were in constant contact for months because of the stupidity of my insurance carrier, but she was persistent and so was I! The staff, while sometimes hard to get a hold of, were always genuinely warm to me and made sure I had all the information I needed to feel comfortable and prepared. Finally, I only spent maybe an hour total (consciously) in Dr. Mosser's presence, but he was friendly, direct, and professional. The results of the surgery were and are beautiful to me. I do have some scaring in the middle of my chest because of some weight gain that happened after surgery, but it is minimal and is a happy reminder of how far I have come. His staff is horrible they are very rude and won’t even let u finish your sentence they will just cut u off all they care about is the money not your well being they could care less if you are happy! Once they get paid they no longer care about giving u good service

I am a trans man who had top surgery with Dr. Mosser in 2017. Overall, I had a very positive experience and am positive I chose the write surgeon. Dr. Mosser is personable and is knowledgeable about the trans community and different procedures. He patiently explained the different incision types and recommended a procedure that fit my specific goals. At times communicating with the office was challenging and I had to be very persistent. The best experience I could have imagined from Dr. Mosser and his team! Eric, nurse assistant, Kiana, and Mosser himself were each individually amazing, supportive, and kind all while being professional and informative. My fiancé also had FTN top surgery with Dr. Mosser just a month prior, and we both feel as though he is a part of not just our journey, but our family, as well. Doctor Mosser and his team are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, kind, understanding, and accommodating before, during, and after surgery. I had surgery with Dr. Mosser over a year ago and am incredibly happy with my results. He and his team are very accessible pre- and post-op: I was even able to reach Dr. Mosser at 3am when I had a concern. He and his team are also very helpful when it comes to writing letters/notes for name changes and gender changes on government forms and documentation. I would recommend Dr. Mosser to anyone looking to have top surgery: he and his team are SUPER trans competent, are knowledgeable and gentle, and are absolutely fantastic when it comes to answering any and all questions. I had surgery with Dr. Mosser two weeks ago and honestly my experience was better than I thought it could be. There were absolutely zero issues and the results, so far, are phenomenal. Throughout the process, I was treated with respect and kept well-informed and everything was made clear and straightforward. Surgery itself went incredibly smooth, my recovery went very well with next to no pain (YMMV, of course) and the results are both functionally and aesthetically pleasing. I just had my surgery preformed by Dr. Scott Mosser a little over a week ago, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. It's still early, and I'm still in my compression garment as swelling goes down but I really already am ecstatic with the results. Dr. Mosser is very professional and friendly and definitely is very talented. Both Dr. Mosser and his staff did a lot to ease my anxiety of going into surgery so I'm really thankful to them all. We traveled from out of state to see him and all of the traveling was well worth it to make sure I ended up with him as my surgeon. I rarely write reviews, but this was a case where I really felt compelled to voice my thoughts. Without going into too many details, my wife had to have a very delicate surgery on her face. We did weeks of research on just about every San Francisco plastic surgeon possible. While my wife's surgery would be classified as a Facelift Surgery, it was much more involved than that. The surgery would also require Rhinoplasty, partial Ear Revision Surgery, and Injectable Fillers. Dr. Mosser and his team were absolutely amazing, after our consultation with Dr. Mosser we knew that we had found our guy. The personalization and detailed explanation of the procedures really put us at ease. Everything was very easy and streamlined, we could download patient forms and submit them at our convenience. On the day of the surgery, my wife and I were very nervous. Once we got to Dr. Mosser's office, we almost had the feeling as if we were with family. The genuine concern about our anxiety was met with total comfort. Dr. Mosser and staff again went through the entire process and explained details and addressed questions with the utmost detail and care. There was a light and energetic atmosphere pre-surgery which kept us as ease. The surgery went as perfect as it possibly could, and the results were much higher than any expectations. My wife is so happy and feels that Dr. Mosser really changed her life for the better. Dr. Mosser cancelled my surgery just a few days before I was supposed to have the operation. He blamed the fact that I was traveling too much as his reason for not telling me sooner that he wasn't "comfortable" with my surgery ... so he made me come in for an appointment to do so. Forget that I had already paid for my mom's plane and hotel to come in and take care of me a few days away. Forget that I had cleared my work calendar and now clearly don't have time to schedule a surgery with someone else. This is not what patient care looks like. Furthermore, his staff fell down on the job TWICE and didn't even try to get funding pre-approved through my insurance even though they said they would. All in all, it seems to me that any "concern" that Dr. Mosser has for his patients is not actual for their well-being so much as it is minimization of risk (to himself) and maximization of his own profits.
