Dr. Scott and his nurse are great to deal with. He is direct with you, without being rude. I was able to tell that they have my best health in mind on each visit.

We just recently moved over to Dr. Mighell and we couldn't be happier. Dr Scott is professional, straight forward, caring, and just flat a nice guy. The entire staff has been outstanding.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Michell for over 20 years. He is very thorough and highly concerned with your wellbeing. Highly knowledgeable on medications and treatments that enhance your overall health. Comfortable to be in his presence knowing that he has your best possible interest at heart. Friendly knowledgeable staff that will assist you in anyway possible. Dr. Mighell was awesome! He and the staff was super friendly! They worked me in on an already busy day, in less than an hour we had labs, X-rays, diagnosis, and treatment plan!

Wonderful Doctor been using him forever and trust him with my life. Has a great sense of humor, puts you at ease and explains things to you.

He was through and gave me some treatment that is already helping and RX that will also help me. His nurse was vey good and very nice, she gives very good injections that didn’t hurt too!!!.,

Dr Mighell as usual taken care of my needs. He is constantly on top of my medical needs.

My visit was nice and comfortable as usual, He do his best to help you with your heath issues and make suggestions for you to see another physician if it's something he can't help with, overall great doctor.

Dr. Mighell’s nurse is not welcoming and is very condescending majority of the time. She made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome when discussing my medication and family planning. I heard her discuss my information with the doctor outside the door so I did not feel like my privacy was being honored appropriately. Dr. Mighell has not given the adequate care I felt necessary during my visits. He does not take my concerns seriously, and has even mixed up my file with another patient and tried to argue with me on the medication I take. He did not apologize. Dr Mighell is a wonderful doctor. He is very kind and patient and is concerned about your well being. We've used him for over 20 years, and i think anyone would be pleased with him.

He needs to retire. He stopped caring a long time ago.

He is just the best Dr to have - takes his time with you answers all your questions and really gives a thorough examination.

When urgent care wouldn't see me, Dr. Mighell got me right in even tho I was a new patient. within 5 min he had me diagnosed, and on my way to the hosp for emergent surgery. He was "old school" because he listens to what you are saying, then actually lays hands on you like dr's are suppossed to do, instead of immediately trying to order thousands of dollars in tests to diagnose you. He was awesome! Highly recommend this office!!! I have been going to Dr. Mighell since 1995. His bedside manner is incredible and he is so knowledgeable. When you make an appointment, you see him, not a nurse practioner or PA. He is easy to talk to and down to earth with a staff that is as wonderful as him. Everyone is so friendly and caring. I've been using Dr. Mighell for numerous years and would recommend him to anyone needing a good doctor. He cares about his patients and spends extra time to understand the problems they are having. If he can't help you, he will recommend another doctor that can.

Admitted to ER on a Friday morning stayed till Saturday afternoon.Dr Mighells saw me early Monday and got all my necessary tests arranged.they are always there to help

I found Dr. Mighell to be a competent doctor (with some exceptions), with little-to-no bedside manner. Here is why I do not recommend Dr. Mighell or any other Doctor from Louisiana Family Practice Associates: First, let me say that I moved to Shreveport from down south in around 2009. At that time, I needed to find a primary care physician. I picked a random Dr. I found through google, I can't even remember his name, but I didn't really know about him, so I saw him a few times then I asked people I knew and they recommended Louisiana Family Practice Associates. I started with Dr. Cox. I found that Dr. Cox had too many patients and was not able to see me for weeks at a time, so I had him as my primary care for a while, then switched to Dr. Mighell. The phone receptionists are the same for all of the Doctors at LA Family Practice, as would be expected, but at least Dr. Mighell would see me the same day if I was sick. That's what I would think you need from a Doctor. Now, as I stated before, Dr. Mighell isn't the warmest Doctor. He is very intelligent, and very knowledgeable, but I will tell you I have personally witnessed him blurt out a very ominous and devastating "possible" diagnosis for someone I love who was also seeing him (because their primary care Dr., as I have said above, was "too busy"to see them at the time and they needed to get something checked out right away). Me and said loved one spent a year going to specialists thereafter only to find out that the "possible diagnosis" Dr. Mighell blurted out was not at all the issue, and the issue was minor, and every specialist we saw told us that they really didn't know why we were seeing them since the symptoms being described were not a reason to assume they might have this horrible diagnosis, with the final specialist having some not so kind words about Dr. Mighell after seeing everything in the chart, and all the testing we went through, all based on a very bad assumption, and the specialist apologized to us for a year of unnecessary worry (and a lot of money spent on testing) based on a bad guess. Then, this happened: In short, I was having chest pains and called multiple times to set up an appointment with Dr. mighell only to get a busy signal (I spoke to other patients of LA Family Practice and found out they have had the same problem multiple times on different days). I spoke to a family friend (who is a physician) and asked them what I should do, and they said this isn't something that can wait, and I should make an appointment with a cardiologist, so I did. I had some testing done, and I guess some of the tests or something was sent back to Dr. Mighell's office, so they called me. They asked if I was switching Doctors and I said no, and I explained the situation. The lady on the phone got very defensive, and seemed to be implying that I was making up that the phone lines were busy (why I would do that, I have no idea) and told me should would speak to the office manager about the phone issues. Lo and behold, just a few days later, i received certified mail from Louisiana Family Practice Associates stating, and I quote, "I find it necessary to inform you that I [Dr. Mighell] am withdrawing from further professional attendance of your medical care. I will no longer treat or advise ou with regard to your medical condition". Now, there was no explanation as to why, there was no phone call warning that this might happen, there was nothing. I really have no clue why my Doctor, whom I have been seeing for 10 years just withdrew from my care. I didn't ask for that. I needed to get this checked out and they weren't answering the phone. Maybe someone can explain it to me who understands this kind of thing, but I can tell you this much: a doctor, whom has been MY DOCTOR for 10 years, who decides they will send a certified "Dear John Letter" to a patient in the midst of getting their heart checked out is NOT a doctor I would recommend to anyone, for any reason. Update: The response below is disingenuous. I did call. They provided no explanation. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Medication refill

I was having gallbladder issues and needed a new PCP. I found Dr Mighell by luck and made an appt. I was kinda getting pushed off or not taken seriously by other Drs. Dr Mighell and his nurse, Kathy, went above and beyond for me. They checked on me constantly throughout the process until Dr Mighell had me admitted to the hospital. They fought so hard for me, a NEW patient! As I was waiting for a room at the hospital, I see Kathy come around the corner. She wanted to make sure I was settled and ok when she got off of work. She's the sweetest! I will forever be grateful for their humanity and patient advocacy! What a GREAT practice he has. And I now have the best PCP in town. Thank y'all so much! Dr. Mighell explained everything about my problem thoroughly. I did not have to wait long to see him. As far as I am concerned he is an excellent doctor and I trust him completely. His staff was friendly and made me feel welcome.

The experience began when I spoke to the receptionist who schedules appointments. Susan and Cookie both never fail to be courteous and helpful. Dr. Mighell’s staff makes the visit easier and he is professional and caring so I feel that he is truly looking out for me as a patient.
