I was referred to Dr. McKnight after a cancerous polyp was discovered during a routine colonoscopy. That was a God-send! Dr. McKnight is very thorough and confident in his approach. Told me the type of cancer I had, how we were going to fix it, and what issues may come up. Always asked me if I had any questions. I am 3 weeks removed from surgery and getting better everyday. Will not go anywhere else.

Dr. McKnight is the best at what he does. I have seen multiple specialists searching for help before arriving to his office. He is very compassionate and knowledgeable. He was very genuine and sincere in all my appointments. I felt immediately comfortable as a patient discussing very personal issues. You can tell by his wealth of knowledge that you have come to the right doctor! I highly recommend Dr. McKnight and will be returning in the future as needed.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Dr. McKnight was a godsend to me. The entire process was exceptional. He was direct and specific with his medical and surgical plan keeping me at ease before and after surgery so I couldn't ask for anything more. My recovery was virtually painless which I felt got me back normal activities much quicker. A huge "Thank you" to Dr. McKnight and staff!

Dr. Mcknight does a great job of listening and explaining what is going on. He did my surgery and was very good at answering my questions and has been great at following up. His nurse Shae is very friendly and helps make an awkward appt a little less awkward. I trust him and highly recommend him.

I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for helping me find Dr. Scott T. McKnight. Absolutely respectful and considerate. Fully aware of how lost and fearful a person with a fresh cancer diagnosis can be. I immediately felt at ease and and in capable hands. Did an exam on my first visit, ordereded CT scan and Mri, then had follow up to explain the test results and a plan of action for the next step in my treatment. I can't describe how much I appreciate his care to this point. After my chemo and radiation, he will definitely be my surgeon.

Went to him for a colonoscopy as my father had died of same and I was having issues. I gave him my complaints but he not only did not list them on my progress notes but scheduled the procedure for 3.5 months away. He was far more focused on staring at his computer and I-pad while standing up as if he was in a hurry. His focus was centered on my entry that I was 'single' rather than 'divorced' and he then asked how many times I had been married. ??? Not sure I see the relevance there. I ultimately went elsewhere and had the procedure done within a week. I feel so fortunately to have avoided what could have been a horrible and unnecessary diagnosis and treatment. He is a jerk.

Was very disappointed. He spent more time staring at the computer while stand up as if to end the appointment even before it began. He argued and questioned my selection of "single" versus "divorced" then asked the number of times I had been married. Very improper/inappropriate. I had symptoms and concerns which he never entered in the progress notes and my colonoscopy was scheduled 3 1/2 months away. Clearly not appropriate were it to be a serious problem. I ultimately cancelled the scheduled procedure and found a very caring and wonderful doctor which performed the procedure a week later. Don't waste your time. It's too important and too stressful.

He and Dr. Antosh are part of a pelvic floor clinic in Katy/Houston. Saw Dr. Antosh first, that was a disaster, then referred to him for colorectal part. Very arrogant, gave me a sheet with a high fiber diet and a diagram. No specific instructions on how to deal with incontinence. Good thing he is part of a larger practice, but that means going to the Med Center. Did not acknowledge my husband in the room until I introduced him. God complex.

I saw Dr McKnight for a colon resection. It was easy to get an appointment and staff was friendly and efficient. Dr McKnight is wonderful. He explained procedure and what to expect to my level of experience (I'm an RN). He was caring and never seemed rushed when he rounded in the hospital. When I had a post-op complication (it wasn't an emergency and could have waited till the next day) he called me back between surgeries and called in a medication right then. He didn't leave it up to his office staff to take care of it. I would recommend him if you need colorectal surgery.

Dr. McKnight kept me very informed during the entire process of setting up my surgery all the way to post-op. He was extremely professional and took extra precautions to ensure I wasn’t in any pain. I was very nervous going into this surgery, but he helped put me at ease and I had a very successful surgery. His work helped me avoid any additional problems that could’ve occurred. Great doctor, I would recommend 100%.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Scott McKnight. I was referred by my gastroenterologist to Dr. McKnight because he is considered an expert in his field. Dr. McKnight is a highly trained general and robotic colorectal surgeon and has a wonderful rapport with his patients. He thoroughly explained the procedure needed for me to make a well informed decision concerning a serious operation that I needed. His office staff is well organized making it easy to access him, an important factor when one is facing a frightening and unexpected necessary surgery. I saw him within the week that I called for an appointment, I was seen on time, everything explained, and diagrams drawn to help me further understand the procedure. I left his office with several handouts, diagrams, and specific instructions for preparing for my surgery giving me an even better understanding. My surgery was scheduled immediately and I am now 10 days post surgery. I am doing well beyond my expectations.

I have suffered with Diverticulitis for 30+ years. In November 2020 I was hospitalized with extreme pain. The CT Scan showed Diverticulitis and a Fistula. I was sent home to heal the colon for 6 weeks and then I had surgery to remove the area of Diverticulitis and the Fistula that had attached to my Vagina. I have to say, the recovery from this surgery that Dr. McKnight performed was the easiest I have had. I felt like I could go back to work instantly. I am so Grateful to Dr. McKnight for his expertise and care.

As a surgical patient, you know you are in excellent hands when several of the Memorial Hermann hospital nurses tell you that you have the “best surgeon,” and if they should ever need surgery, “will choose Dr. Scott McKnight.” I thank God for Dr. Scott T. McKnight and the excellent care I received for my robotic-assisted sigmoid colectomy. He communicated clearly, prepared me with proper expectations, phoned me to answer further questions after our initial appointment, and even prayed with me before surgery. By God’s grace and the excellent care I received, I walked out of the hospital 48-hours after my sigmoid colon was removed. Dr. McKnight trains other surgeons in advanced robotic-assisted surgery. I am evidence of the benefits for the patient with advanced robotic-assisted surgery, which are: less invasive surgery, reduced surgical impact on one’s body, shorter hospital stay, and faster recovery. Therefore, the best descriptor I can use for Dr. Scott McKnight is GREAT.

Dr. McKnight is wonderful. After finding out that I would need to have surgery on my colon, he made me feel very comfortable about the procedure. He explained everything in detail, including any potential risks involved with the surgery. The surgery went smoothly and the recovery time from the robotic procedure was a couple of weeks. He was highly recommended by my GI Specialist and the nurse that did my registration at the hospital. I am now referring everyone who may need colon or rectal surgery to him.

I had large internal / external hemorrhoids that Dr McKnight surgically removed. The post op pain ( really discomfort) wasn’t nearly as bad as anticipated, and wasn’t as embarrassing pre surgery as I thought it would be. Dr McKnight & hospital staff were informative & caring each step of the way. Its been 3 weeks and I’m back to normal ( really better than the 20+ years I’ve lived with hemorrhoids! ).

I have never in my life been to a more rude Doctor than Doctor McKnight. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day or what but I had left this doctors appointment in tears. He not only continuously mentioned my weight but also made me feel stupid for asking clarifying questions. Doing the examination brought back horrible memories and anxiety but the way Dr McKnight spoke to me after this examination was almost worse than the examination itself. I was referred to Dr McKnight by my OBGYN and I feel as if he never even read why I was referred to him in the first place. He made that clear by telling me he doesn’t do those types of surgeries and I need to be referred to a different doctor. I was going by the recommendation of my OBGYN to see Dr McKnight. I did not come on my own accord but was referred to Dr McKnight by my doctor. If you want a Doctor who makes you feel stupid for asking clarifying questions about your concerns or continuously brings up your weight he is the doctor for you!

I have never in my life been to a more rude Doctor than Doctor McKnight. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day or what but I had left this doctors appointment in tears. He not only continuously mentioned my weight but also made me feel stupid for asking clarifying questions. Doing this examination brought back horrible memories and anxiety but the way Dr McKnight spoke to me after this examination was almost worse than the examination itself. I did not come on my own accord but was made to feel very much out of place. When asking about another problem I was having he very rudely and sternly said, “Why are you here? You came in for one problem but you’re talking about a completely different problem.” I explained that when I counseled with his fellow I had mentioned both problems. I don’t know if there was a breakdown in communication between him and his fellow or me and Dr McKnight but I felt very much out of place and that my concerns I was experiencing were not something he wanted to deal with. He mentioned my weight more than 4 times and that if I lose weight all of my problems would go away. He never once asked me the types of food I ate, what my diet was like or what my stools looked like. He just saw my weight and stereotyped me as someone who ate particularly unhealthy. The recommendations he had mentioned were something I had already been doing despite my many different weight changes. The problems I had been having is something I have been dealing with for many many years. But he never discussed with what I was doing or what I have been doing to better help my gut health he just assumed the worst. When I asked him more clarifying questions about my problems and asked if surgery was something that could be used to help me he proceeded to tell me that, “this is a horrible surgery and if you want to be in the worst pain in your life,” he could do it but that but, “You just need to lose weight” instead because he doesn’t want to do this type of surgery on a 33 year old. I misunderstood what I was dealing with as he didn’t explain properly to me about my concern. I misunderstood because he didn’t take the time to explain things properly and when I asked questions I was made to feel very much stupid and he gave me very snide remarks on managing my weight or that if I had surgery that I would be in the worst pain in my life. I understand Dr McKnight does this day in and day out. But I am a new patient, someone who is not familiar with the process and procedures. You would think he would take the time to explain and would want to make a good impression on a new patient so that when they are having more “severe” problems they would feel welcomed to come back. Instead I was made to feel very much unwelcome and that my problems were not something he deals with or something that was that “severe” despite the referral from my Doctor. I will not be going back to Dr McKnight and I couldn’t in good conscience recommend him to anyone else.

I had to have a right robotic colectomy because of a flat pre-cancerous polyp that was identified during a colonoscopy. Based on Dr. McKnight's recommendation and that of my gastroenterologist, I decided to have that section of my colon removed. I had the surgery Thursday morning, was walking Thursday afternoon and went home on Saturday morning. The medical technology is amazing as was Dr. McKnight who is highly skilled at this procedure. I went to work the next Monday and after 2 weeks felt almost back to normal. I'm now 6 weeks post surgery, and aside from the minor scars on my midsection, I'm back to 100% without the worry of colon cancer hanging over my head. An excellent experience in a situation that is unsettling and could easily go a different direction.

Dr. McKnight is one of few surgeons in my 50 years of being an RN that is personable, listens to you and takes his time. I have colon cancer and following surgery and pathology testing he had to break the news that the expected Stage 1 that it had looked like, was in fact Stage 3. Dr. McKnight took his time with me and my daughter, explained exactly what he had done during surgery ( as he had done immediately after surgery), answered all our questions, and was kind and compassionate.

Excellent care. I offered him a very challenging case that he handled with grace and confidence. Excellent bedside demeanor. Not only did I like him but all of the staff in the hospital did to. I have already referred potential patients to him and will continue.

Dr. McKnight is a wonderful physician with excellent bedside manner; he is very knowledgeable and thoroughly explains everything you think you would want to know about your condition and he listens to make sure you understand and are making the best decision. I have had a procedure and more recently surgery and would highly recommend him because he is the Gold Standard and makes you feel like you are in the best hands.
