I have been going to Dr. Mayhew for pain management for 9 years. He is an excellent and caring doctor. His staff is top-notch!

This office is so amazing. Terri, Dr Mayhew's nurse, is so humerous and witty... It is a dry humor but I enjoy dry humor. The office is very efficient and gets you in and out. Absolutely the BEST! He takes time to explain your problem & gets on it ASAP. I found him to listen to every word I said, he did his paperwork in front of me, asked me questions & scheduled for relief in my hip. His nurse Terri is so awesome too. She helps with any questions of confusion I had. They are my team for future pain management in my retirement????

It is always hard to find new doctors. When I moved to SC, I happened upon (Dr. Scott Mayhew. By my second visit, I knew that I had found a professional, caring doctor (and his nurse, Terri). They don't make you feel like a number and they are truly concerned with your health. He has been great. Lucky to have found such a great physician.

Not at all satisfied.

I found Dr. Mayhew to be very thorough and caring. After a previous experience with a doctor who wanted to push pain pills, I was happy to find Dr. Mayhew who explores all options of pain relief. He doesn't just dismiss you with one option. I have complete trust in Dr. Mayhew! And his nurse Terri is the best! She is thorough but makes you feel relaxed and talks to you like a friend.

Dr. Mayhew is great at what he does. He does not push pills. He truly works hard at getting to the root of the problem and fixing it. We need more of him. I will continue to see him as long as I need. I trust his work, ethics, and opinion

I inherited arthritis from my moms side of the family. I have seen Dr. Mayhew many many time over the past 8 years. He is the reason that I have been able to put off hip and knee replacements for all those years. He is very professional and most of all he interacts with his patients. I have recommended him to all my friends who are talking about joint replacement because it’s better to keep what god gave me as long as I can.Dr Mayhew is the best Pain Management PERIOD!

The doc ,is a good dr ,listens to your problems and works with you

He was a big help with my wife. She now can walk and get up out of chairs and walk more up right. Was in a lot of pain. Great job.

I met with Dr. Mayhew to review my pain, etc., and listen to his review, after MRI, and what he can do to relieve my pain level. After 4 diagnostic consultation appointments and 2 actual treatments, I am almost pain free. The treatments for me last appx. 1-1/2 years. George Asteris

Dr Mayhew was able to treat my pain when others had failed.

Six years ago I moved to the Myrtle Beach area and scheduled my first appt. with Dr. Mayhew, I was a little unsettled about the transition process and how I would continue my treatment. Dr. Mayhew and his staff welcomed me as a new patient, cont. my treatment without interruption, & have always strived to provide any appt. I need in a timely manner. Dr. Mayhew is prompt with his appt. times & always listens to any concerns I have without making me feel rushed. I would recommend him to anyone.

I have been to many Pain Management Doctors over the course of 18 years, and Dr Mayhew is the best. I have chronic back pain that can no longer be corrected by surgery and I have found him to be very willing to discuss the options that might help me. He listens to what I have to say and that is very rare in my experience. He genuinely wants to help his patients. His nurse, Terri, is also very knowledgeable and pleasant. I would confidently recommend Dr Mayhew to anyone.

Nothing but good to say. Dr. Mayhew and his nurse Terri have really done wonders for me. My pain is now completely under control. Very professional and friendly. I definitely will return "as needed".

I highly recommend Dr. Mayhew to anyone who has pain. He is caring and knows what he is doing. Dr. Mayhew has successfully relieved much of the pain in my lower back, without surgery.

Dr. Mayhew and nurse Terri are very pleasant easy to talk to and get thorough answers. Dr Mayhew is professional, precise and in my opinion the best I’be ever had for my back issues. I would recommend him to anyone that asks.

He always takes the time to make sure we address any issues that I have with my pain and medication. Wait time is zero to five minutes in the waiting room, and, zero to five minutes wait patient room. I would recommend Dr. Mayhew to anyone in need of Pain Management

Dr. Mayhew listens to what you say and offers a solution (procedure/prescription). Easy to get an appointment and always on schedule (only a few minutes in waiting room).

Dr Mayhew is both personal and professional. He is very attentive to all my concerns and always asks me to direct him to my areas of deepest concern. I highly recommend him and have referred many of my friends to him without reservation

Dr. Mayhew is hands-down the best pain management physician I have seen in 15 years of dealing with occipital neuralgia. He understands the condition and offered several treatment options. He always listens to and HEARS me. His bedside manner is exemplary, and his clinical skills are excellent.

Several years ago my mother suffered an accident so severe that one of the best surgeons in South Carolina equated it to stepping on an IED in Iraq. She ended with steel bands holding her chest together after weeks of intensive care, and is now on disability. After moving to NMB, she needed a new pain dr. to fill her Fentanyl prescription. Dr. Mayhew treated her like a drug addict and she cried the entire ride home. Apparently she did not seem "disabled enough". Avoid like the plague

I told the P.A. that I thought that I might have fibromyalgia. I then named a few prescriptions commonly used to treat it another physician told me about. She then said, “She had no idea.” She’s a P.A. that works in a pain clinic she should know that. I list a few symptoms related to my condition to the doctor. He tells me that my trapezius goes into spasm. So I suggest muscle relaxers. He refused that idea and basically put me on more Gaba. Then the staff was unprofessional and rude.

Dr, Mayhew has been the only Doctor that has been willing to help me with my RSD. I have nerve damage to my left leg from knee down and have not been able to get a doctor to work on my left knee, Dr. Mayhew didn't even hesitate to do injection in both my knee's, and I've been like this for 6 years. I have been seeing Dr. Mayhew for a little less then a year and he has already gave me 2 injections in both my knee's.

Coming to a new area, I was nervous about finding a new Pain Specialist. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to discuss your condition in detail. The procedure he performed for me was far less painful than I expected. He took his time and explained everything along the way.

I have found Dr. Mayhew to always be a very caring and qualified doctor and would never hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I also appreciate the fact that the people who assist him are always very friendly and helpful when you call his office or go in for an appointment.

Dr. Mayhew is a very kind and VERY Knowledgeable Doctor. He is very thorough and well respected by other Doctors. I'm being treated for pain due to a broken foot that won't heal and also, have been diagnosed with RSD, which is a nerve pain disorder, that is not widely recognized by all Doctors. However, Dr. Mayhew is very well versed on this medical condition. I had a nerve block done today and Dr. Mayhew and his nurse were so kind, gentle and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Mayhew!!!
