Dr. Kono is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He is outstanding in his field/expertise, professional, and compassionate. He listens to me and respects me as a patient. I am so thankful and 100% happy with the care I'm receiving at UC Health.

Dr. Kono is incredibly thorough and compassionate. I can't remember the last time I had a doctor take so much time to explain medical terms and go over labs they way he did. He also coordinated with with my daughter's other doctors and followed up with her care.

If Dr. Kono is too busy to have accepted new patients, too busy to respond to messages, what is one to do? Just diagnosed with cancer is a scary place to be, relying on these Dr.s is what we do. Akin to "putting your life in their hands". When you feel as if you are left adrift, or do not matter..one would wonder if the great reviews are the ones that, well..matter more. One visit, thought he was "it", after that your abandoned. Off to write a far more stellar review for a Dr. who is AMAZING, worth the praise, IS compassionate, DOES care, responds to messages. Had Dr Kono for treatment of Stage III throat cancer. His performance was flawless. Have and will recommend him for care to anyone in need of an exceptional doctor.

Dr. Kono takes the time to answer questions. He really cares about his patients and will take the time to help us understand our situation. I have always appreciated any referrals we have needed for any other physicians. We are so thankful in the knowledge he has in my Oncology care. Dr. Kono has my highest confidence in my cancer care! I feel so thankful to have him as my Oncologist.

Dr. Kono is a wonderful and caring physician. He listens well and answers all my questions. He is reassuring and approachable, and takes time to explain the many questions I have regarding my issues and medications. I am so lucky to have Dr. Kono managing my health care.

Dr. Kono is genuinely a caring doctor. He takes his time talking to you and making sure you are comfortable. He is the best!

He is an amazing doctor, who spent so much time answering are questions and doing what gave my husband the quality of life he wanted. My husband was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2013 and was given 1 year to live by another doctor. He lived 3 years and because of Dr. Kono's dedication, listening skills and compassion he lived 3 years which gave us time for more bonding with grandkids and many family travels and get togethers. If doctors got oscars or academy awards he'd have my vote. He is respected by his staff who are exceptional and loving at the Lone Tree clinic.

He is wonderful at explaining things and terms anyone can understand. Very in-depth, give you plenty of time to ask questions and extremely caring. Possibly the best doctor I have ever been to
