I'm 12 weeks post shoulder replacement from Dr Jacobson. The whole experience far exceeded my expectations. I've had knee replacement and major foot reconstruction in the past 8 years and my shoulder was so so easy to recover from. Hats off to Dr Jacobson and his team. I job well done!

This Dr has great bedside manners, He REALLY knows his stuff also. He had me improving before I left his office and I was in a lot of pain!

Excellent surgeon.

Waste of time. "Experienced in athletic injuries" yet doesn't know what a power clean is. He did not tell me anything a simple google search couldn't. Just a competitive athlete looking for some insight other than "quit doing what you're doing." Not sure why I was referred here.

Jacobson was extremely rude and unprofessional. He yelled at me for asking questions, and gave vague useless answers for others. He showed absolutely no concern for me. I switched to a different surgeon and I recommend you don't waste your time with this loser.

This doctor totally dismissed my shoulder" injury as a "chronic " condition, even with my history of no shoulder pain until i fell off my bicycle. He turned his back on me and walked out of the room while i was talking to him. He came back with a steroid injection I did not ask for but allowed. He then told me my shoulder was" irreparable. When, i asked about activity he actually waved his hand and said " sure" you can do any of that. I got an appointment with a terrific shoulder surgeon in Eugene. He repaired both tendons arthroscopic and did a biceps cleanup. Dr Jacobson was the rudest dr ihave ever been to. Hello. In all my visits at The Center or during multiple surgical procedures performed by Dr. Jacobson. I’ve had nothing but the most Professional and informative care every time. I’ve been a patient at The Center since it opened. Of all the Doctors I’ve had over my many appointments and procedures performed. Dr. Jacobson by far has been the most through and Professional Physician that has cared for me.

He didn't listen to me and sent a report to my primary dr stating I wasn't in the pain I described. It took me a year to see another doctor about my shoulder. After my torn rotator cuff surgery I'm much better. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Jacobson has done two shoulder surgeries for me. I can't say enough about how GREAT he is! My primary referred to him as the "Shoulder Guru", and I would say he lives up to his name. This was a review and diagnosis of a long term shoulder problem. The wait time was short, though they are a week or two behind schedule. The doctor gave a very thorough examination, and recommended a treatment to follow. I would recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr Jacobson explained everything in a very understandable way. And being an older patient, my results were amazing for a reverse shoulder replacement. I was able to do meals laundry and a little house keeping after the 3rd Day. Was cleared to drive after the 13th day. I'm increasing in motion and strength each day. I highly recommend Scott Jacobson for any shoulder issues.

The very best care ever. This hospital goes over the top to make a patient feel comfortable, and the time spent there is always good. We travel 2 1/2 hrs for our appts, because we know we are getting the very best.

Dr. Jacobsen didn't brush me off like an old 71 year old lady, but understood I was an active, vibrant person who loves to hike and enjoy the outdoors, and he treated me accordingly. Very refreshing!

Dr. Jacobson is a very caring, compassionate and qualified surgeon. He listens to your concerns, explains what the options are, and is very easy to talk with.

He researched a different procedure to repair my shoulder replacement rather than doing the reverse procedure. It allows me more mobility and range of motion. I was the first patient on whom he performed this procedure.

Dr. Scott Jacobson is a great physician. He took the time to order the right tests to determine my pain. His staff is very cooperative and friendly. I have seen this doctor for 13 years and so glad he is available to do my surgery for my left shoulder. You never have to wait for you to see him at your appointment. My appointment was in September and within 5 minutes Dr. Jacobson diagnosed by pain and was on the phone to order medication which provided relief within 2 hours of starting the drugs. My primary care doctor had the same information in June and did not see it and the pain was a 9. I lost all summer to the pain. Not good.

Dr. Jacobson was very attentive to evaluate my injury and corrected it in surgery. He is polite and personal to me as a patient and the best surgeon in his field. I recently saw him for a follow up meeting and after a thorough exam was assured my healing and strengthening after the surgery is right on track.

This Dr. is one of the worst I have come across. Eight months after a minor bone spur operation without a new MRI and still in pain he tells me to exercise it away. This guy is all about him.

I was sent to Dr.jacobson in November for a consult of my left shoulder after being referred by the VA. From the moment Dr.Jacobson entered the room it was an instant downward spiral to complete the worst medical experience that I have ever experienced. Let me remind you that I am a veteran and consistently utilize the VA for my healthcare needs. Dr. Jacobson asked me what my visit was for to which I had given him a background from my initial injury along with a run through of all medical procedures that I have had since the beginning, after being cut off and given a dumbfounded look Dr. Jacobson left the room to review the report and MRI that was sent from the VA. After returning 5minutes later Dr. Jacobson stated that my shoulder looked normal and that he was unable to see any anchors in the MRI, so I was instructed to retrieve surgical reports and most recent MRI’s........ follow up 3weeks later I receive a phone call from the VA for a follow up, at this point I was notified that an MRI of my head pertaining to a TBI (traumatic Brain Injury) had been sent to Dr. Jacobson instead of a shoulder image. This part is not the issue but the meer fact that he did not read the title of the MRI but as well not visually see the difference between a shoulder and a cranium. Horrible, horrible doctor. I am in excruciating pain all of the time due to a work injury. "Dr." Jacobsen could not get me out of his office fast enough. He never took an MRI, even though he diagnosed a soft tissue injury. If he can't justify cutting on you, he just does not care. He released me to full duty, knowing full well I was in pain. He suggested I "find another job." So guess what - I injured my shoulder again, worse this time, and needed surgery. This man is an arrogant little P who shouldn't be practicing medicine. I have not seen Dr Jacobson for a number of years. But he is amazing. I heard all kinds of horror stories about rotator cuff surgery and my rotator was in bad shape. He was not the most social doctor I have ever met but I did everything he told me to do after the surgery and I never had another issue with my shoulder after that. I have had a number of friends use him and all of them were very pleased. This is one of the cases where results win over Dr. personally. I tore my ACL and meniscus in a skiing accident and Dr. Jacobson was, foremost, honest about the surgery that would be required to repair my knee. He clearly explained the procedure and always made sure to answer my questions, even by email. The surgery went really well and I felt The Center was great about getting me in for a somewhat unexpected dressing change. Dr. Jacobson and his PA never seemed rushed and I was always seen in a timely matter for my scheduled and unscheduled appointments. I hope to never need orthopedic surgery again, but if I do, I would 100% see Dr. Jacobson again and recommend him to anyone looking for an orthopedic surgeon. Excellent 100% positive experience!! Doctor Jacobson in fact did what other doctors told me was hopeless. I couldn't give this doctor a higher recommendation!

Hands down the most unprofessional "doctor" I have ever been to. Don't waist your time with this idiot. He better hope I don't see him around town.

I have a shoulder injury is the reason I scheduled with Dr. J. He is thorough, courteous, and explained the problem well. I need surgery to correct the problem and my primary care doctor told me that Dr. J. is the best shoulder man in Bend. I trust his ability and knowledge so have scheduled to have him do my surgery.

I was concerned that I had a torn rotator cuff; but it ended up being a Frozen should only. I had tried on my own for 4 months to stretch with no results. By the time I saw him I could just barely comb my hair. My options were physical therapy or manipulation under complete anesthesia. I asked Dr. Jacobson what he would do if it was his shoulder and he stated that he would have the manipulation. 2 weeks after I have full range of motion. Only regret; should have done it sooner. Had both shoulders replaced by Dr Jacobson, May and October 2015. Very happy with the results and glad I waited a couple of years to make the decision to go ahead. A new appliance by Tornier for both surgeries amazingly successful! Within 3 months-pain free, 5 months golfing! Simple Physical Therapy is critical for 3 months and ongoing at home to get best results. Used No opiates at home, just Tylenol. Dr J is an incredible surgeon and with Nate his (PA) make excellent team! GreatStaff

He wanted to keep prescribing me opiates even after I had voiced a concern regarding addiction. Instead of offering alternative forms of pain treatment, he only wanted to keep me on Vicodin. After quitting Vicodin on my own, I used cannabis to deal with the pain of my injury and surgery. Refused to give me a Dr.'s note for my employer regarding my situation with pain. Never asked him to say he prescribed cannabis, just to write that I had reasons to be in pain and seek medicine. Lost me my job.
