Dr. Scott Robbins Goodove

This doctor is terrible. We was referred to them by our regular dentist, and we went to them three times, and when it came to the major surgery part that was when they finally told us they don’t accept our insurance. Then if you don’t have a credit card or cash with you to pay your bill, and they have to bill you they charge interest right away. They keep having you go back to do nothing except a consultation so they can charge you. I do not recommend this Doctor at all. This is the worse Doctor I have seen in the Virginia Beach area.

Felt no pain. Doc kept checking on my comfort level. Explained his next steps and why. I have no complaints

I have a 16 year daughter who is 5ft 9 and plus size for her age with the appearance that she is older than she is. My daughter is terribly fearful of needles and even though we were not doing the procedure that day talking about it got her a little tearful. The D.A. that was chairside was an African American female named Amber. I asked for the paperwork to be printed and the DA stepped to get it once she presented back in the room she caught a glimpse of my daughter getting upset in relation to the thought of getting a shot. The DA began to chuckle to her self , because nothing could have been funny from her standing within 10 feet of me and NO ONE else present. The only very apparent laughing matter had to be my apparently bigger than the DA and myself (genetically) that made her snicker. My reason for posting this is because I thought I was the only one that caught wind of it but so did my daughter. Very distasteful and disrespectful ????. Amber was not professional that day. I had a great experience with Goodove Oral Surgery. Victoria and Dr. Goodove were great. I got all four Wisdom teeth pulled on June 7th.

The office was immaculate, At the front office Victoria was so sweet and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome . The nurse Samantha was truly amazing explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand. Nakeeta also was a help as well. My daughter was very happy with Dr. Gooddove he was gentle and made her feel at ease. Thank each and everyone of you for all you do especially in these hard times with Covid . Dr. Goodove and his staff are very professional and caring. I have 2 implants required because of bone density medications and a third because of a poor crown replacement. My first implant placed by another doctor failed and had to be redone. Several years ago Dr. Goodove placed my second implant and I was so pleased with his care and expertise in dental surgery and implants due to bone density drugs that I returned to Dr. Goodove to have my third implant. Through both experiences of teeth being removed and implants placed there was little or no pain and both implants were successful. Dr. Goodove and his staff are very professional and caring. Dr. Goodove and staff did a great job with extracting all four of my wisdom teeth. They were very professional and did a great job on my procedure. I would recommend Goodove Oral Surgery to anyone wanting their wisdom teeth to be extracted.

Dr. Goodove and his entire staff are phenomenal. No one wants or looks forward to having an implant done, but if you do have to have one this is the doctor you want to go to. He is amazing! The entire process was basically painless. I have had a tremendous amount of dental work done over my lifetime, but this without a doubt was one of easiest procedures that I have experienced.

Dr. Goodove did my wisdom teeth surgery. I specifically requested to be put under (outpatient) and have all 4 wisdom teeth removed. The surgery went smoothly and I needed absolutely no medicine for pain afterwards as I never felt even the slightest amount of pain whatsoever. I recommend Dr. Goodove.

I was so nervous about getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth out and going under anesthesia! But it felt like it took 1 second once I got the procedure done! NO pain afterwards.. well for the first couple of hours of course lol. My bottom left tooth is currently still healing and he even saw me a second time to make sure it was just healing slow and not a dry socket! With all that being said, I highly recommend Dr. Goodove. I have never in 59 years had such a terrible experience in any medical office as I had yesterday in this office. I'll never know if the doctor was any good because I walked out after a very disturbing, infuriating and insulting experience with the receptionist. I can only assume that she is a reflection of the doctor and his policies. I brought my 56 year old mentally disabled sister to this office on a referral from her dentist for an evaluation of several lesions at the back of her mouth. My sister is completely unable to care for or speak for herself and I have taken her to many other medical offices over time and NEVER been asked to prove with legal documents that I had the authority to have her seen or actually prove with documentation that she was who I said she was. This receptionist actually implied that we were faking who she was because she does not possess a photo ID - why we would do that was never explained. I had both my sister's primary and secondary insurance cards but for the first time ever that was far from enough. It became apparent that there was NO concern or care for the patient at hand - it was all about concern that they somehow would not be paid. When I questioned how she wanted me to sign her forms, the receptionist was demanding that I sign to be held financially responsible, something that my lawyer has explicitly instructed me NOT to ever do. When I told her that, she simply would not take no as an answer. At that point, I realized that this was not a medical practice that cares about and works with individual patient circumstances; they are a cold money machine with a robotic staff. I walked out and felt obliged to warn other potential patients that if you don't fit the cookie-cutter mold as a patient, you will be much better served passing on this practice and going to a real, caring and human doctor. Very rude staff! Disrespectful of your time and do not acknowledge you when you are waiting for hours to see the Dr. Very nasty front desk staff at the Suffolk office.

Dr Goodove and staff were excellent not only to me throughout my procedures and recovery, but were also great with my family. I couldn't say enough about the positive environment and trustworthy care delivered by everyone in the office. Thank you!!

Great experience at Dr. Goodove's office. My wisdom tooth was pulled in 30 minutes. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. I highly recommend them.
