If I could put in a negative number of stars, I would. A relative put in a 911 call for a welfare check for me based on a 3rd party account that I was suicidal. I was pulled from a tent in the National Forest at gunpoint, and brought to the local hospital. When I declined to provide a urine sample (which subsequently proved negative for illegal drugs and slightly over the driving limit for alcohol - I'd not been driving), Dr. Chew ordered that I be involuntarily catheterized. When the first nurse declined, he ordered a second, older female nurse in. Being catheterized with a straight catheter without my consent I call torture. "This is gonna hurt," she told me. All overseen by armed law enforcement officers. She was right; it hurt, a lot. I peed blood for three days. To be clear, I'd done nothing illegal, was never charged with anything. This has damaged my relationship with my mother, and with human beings in general. I have since been diagnosed with PTSD. Shame on Dr. Chew for violating his Hippocratic oath! As far as I'm concerned, Dr. Chew's medical license should be revoked.
During a recent visit to Estes park, my husband experienced what we thought was altitude sickness. Dr. Chew listened to us and communicated well. I found him very compassionate and concerned about diagnosing his condition. I believe he saved my husband’s life. My husband had an underlining condition that Dr Chew alerted us to and strongly encouraged us to seek medical attention as soon as we got home. Thank you Dr. Chew.
Dr. Chew displayed empathy, transparency, and respect towards me and my husband. He took time to explain my diagnosis and answered all our questions patiently. After that, he accommodated my requests for paperwork to process my disability claim even after discharge. The nurses were equally competent and helpful in resolving my concerns. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

No respect for the patient. It is unfortunate that he is an ER doc because you might get stuck with a doctor who hates his life and sees past the patient. He actually compared his life as a Doc to my own to explain that my issues aren't worth his time.
