Dr. Scott J Cahoon

I was pleased to be able to be seen within 2 weeks. The entire staff was friendly and efficient. Dr Cahoon listened to my concerns & delivered treatment on the spot. Just 24hrs later and I’m already feeling better.

I will give doctor Calhoun a 5 star rating ready. He was professional. He listened to me he recommended different treatments for my hands but the front area where the girls set it they get a one. There was one particular lady who was very rude. Unprofessional. I was trying to explain to her that my insurance company only has us paying a $25 deductible. She did not want to listen. She cut me off multiple times very imperfectional.

The staff is a hit or miss; the PT staff is amazing and soooo helpful, but on my third visit I was told by the receptionist that I had no insurance on file, despite having already been there twice AND having had an MRI done there that was covered by insurance. She also told me that they don't accept email copies of insurance...when that's the way I gave it to them on my 1st visit lol. Dr. Cahoon was very nice, but he went through my appointment very quickly and actually told me a totally wrong diagnosis in the office. I only realized the correct one once I read my own MRI results. To be fair, I was a little late to my appointment because of traffic, but I think I should be told the correct diagnosis when I'm told I'll need to have a major surgery to correct it :/

Doctor listened to my concerns and was attentive to my needs. Very efficient staff.

Dr. Cahoon did a hip replacement and hip revision on me. He did an amazing job. He is thorough and all about his patients.

Was very easy to get an appointment. Dr. Cahoon answered all of my questions about my upcoming surgery. He is very knowledgeable about his field.

My visit was great. When my husband and I met with Dr. Cahoon my first impression was he's knowledgeable with his work, he explained everything so we understood exactly what the surgery in detail. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will share with my friends.

Doctor Cahoon takes the time to really talk to his patients and listens to them. The visit with him didn’t feel rushed.

Dr. Cahoon have great bed side manners, very professional, patient and kind. Explain everything to you and ask if you have any questions. The whole staff is wonderful.I trust him.

Dr.Cahoon has did five surgeries for me and they all have been great and I have been doing great since my fifth one. I have recommended him to friends that's how good of a doctor he is.

After Dr. Cahoon did my hip replacement surgery I had no pain in the hip at all. I have referred him to several people already. He has great bedside manner The whole staff in McDonough is awesome.

Dr. Cahoon has preformed 2 major hand surgeries for me - bi-lateral carpal tunnel and trigger finger release. He and his staff have taken great care of me and has listened to my concerns. I highly recommend him and the Resurgeons team.

This is a great place to use if needed, and their employees are fantastic. Extremely professional, and friendly. And the entire place was extremely efficient. Dr. Cahoots spent ample time with me to figure out my issues. I would recommend to anyone.

I had a terrible experience at this practice. I saw Dr .Scott Cahoon did not care about what was going on with my leg. He Judge me from day one told me on the first day of my appointment how can I believe anything you say how can you say that to a client very unprofessional. Also Dr. Scott Cahoon cannot explain to me why my leg is not getting better why my leg is buckling when I’m walking and why Am I still having pain in my leg. I still walk with a cane. HIGHLY RECOMMEND First time my son has seen Dr. Cahoon and he is amazing!!! That whole staff crew is amazing as well! THAT INCLUDES TRELLIS!

I saw Dr. Cahoon, who was useless; he ordered an X-Ray, with no prognosis and then referred me to Dr. Stewart. Dr. Stewart's level of care was questionable at best. He diagnosed my foot with Plantars Wart and swelling. From what I understand, Plantars Wart is a basic foot ailment. Why, did he order that I take a costly MRI? Of course, the results showed nothing present in the area of the wart. He then had my wart scraped off and then prescribed me an arthritis topical gel!! Why? Dr. Stewart never prescribed anything for the wart which persisted. I had to go online to Youtube to find real help with curing my wart issue. If only I had seen this, youtu.be/1FqBLeMeols video before I went to see these doctors. They wasted my time and recklessly charged my insurance with expensive tests for nothing. Patient beware!

Dr. Cahoon is awesome. Great bedside manner, he took his time to explain what was going on with my ankle and gave me the confidence I needed to have for my healing process.

He is a fantastic doctor, very caring and shows concern with his patients if they are in pain!

Totally ruined my life. Did a horrible job replacing my knee which led to having a revision and severe nerve damage in my leg, back problems from limping so long, and now my other knee is ruined. Would never trust him again. He’s just all about $$$ !!!

I would recommend my family, friends and anyone that needed his care.

First visit and I am sold! This visit was informative and satisfying. Dr Cahoon was very friendly, knowledgeable of my condition and took time out to educate me on my condition, by demonstrating with the model knee in his office. He was not eager to take me under the "knife"(surgery) suggested alternative possibilities. I left the visit happy, encouraged, informed and at Peace. Dr. Cahoon performed a total left hip replacement surgery on me Nov. 14, 2016 and my life is forever changed. I am no longer in pain as a matter of fact I didn't feel any pain the day after surgery because I was up and walking with a walker of course.Dr Cahoon and the staff at Piedmont Henry made me feel so relaxed before and after my surgery. He was so kind and attentive to make sure I was ok. I would refer him to anybody that need joint replacement surgery.

Health Patient Portal Per website 'Communicate privately with physicians via messaging'. This does not happen with this doctor. He allows his Office to respond with no acknowledgment of who is doing the responding to the e-mail( privacy rights violated). Does not show any concern nor does he discuss x-ray with patient. Made an inaccurate evaluation of my condition without any questions/ test. Had taken earlier test to indicate he was inaccurate about my condition.

Excellent doctor in my opinion. Works well with patients.

This Doctor definitely does NOT care about the patients well being. 'He who takes the gold, makes the rules.' If you are injured please do not choose this doctor. He'll operate on you with no clue as to what he's doing then if you don't heal up or get better he'll just say you're malingering and close your file then tell you to seek a second opinion.. Wish there were more ratings on Dr.'s that way you can pick the good ones and leave the bad ones alone.

Dr. Cahoon treated me for knee problems (osteoarthritis.) He is a very competent surgeon , and answered all my questions with sufficient detail. I dont know why one patient would give him a low rating, but I found him to be concerned and pleasant. I liked him very much, which is more than I can say for most of the doctors I visited when I worked in South Dakota!

While his manner is easy, his doctoring left a lot to be desired. After he completed my carpal tunnel surgery, i was informed by two other sources 'Hand Surgery' is not his fortay. I feel as a patient, i should have been advised this beforehand. He was the only Dr to ever do surgery who did not meet with me before i went under and when i came out of surgery. I was met with the hospital staff only. Then on my follow up days after, his Nurse attended to me. Dr Cahoon came in, poked around and left. I was angry. I was also allowed to return to work with no braces, no physical therapy and no note. I now have swelling and pain in various areas that was'nt present before. Again, sweet disposition, but not trustworthy with surgery and the like. I feel im worse off after the fact.I wish i knew of this website to have researched him before i put my hands in his hands.
