Dr. Scott Irwin Boggs

Had a diabetic foot ulcer that needed treatment. Refused to debride the area so it could heal properly.

I went to see Dr. Boggs on 3/21/2022 because I was having a lot of pain on the back of my left foot at the base of my toe. Dr. Boggs took one look at my foot and said I have a blister under my callous and the best remedy was to let nature take its course. He said I should heal in a week. I came back a week later and Dr.Boggs did an ultrasound and said I have a little white fluid which should go away in 2-4 weeks. He recommended that I take Voltaren to reduce the pain. When I told Dr. Boggs that Voltaren recommends not using the product after 21 days due to risks getting a heart attack, his response was that the warning was directed toward the lawyers and I should continue to take it as needed. Dr. Boggs completely misdiagnosed me. I went to another podiatrist, who took an x-ray and the x-ray uncovered that I had a fracture of the Sesamoid bone. The white that Dr. Boggs saw on the ultrasound machine was the inflammation from the fracture. There was no blister under the callous of my foot. Dr. Boggs, IMHO, is a joke of a doctor. Fortunately, his misdiagnosis did not impact my recovery. Dr. Boggs told me that he does not like to take x-rays for everything. But if he followed protocol and took an x-ray in my case, he may have come up with the correct diagnosis. I cannot recommend that anyone should see Dr. Boggs. Stay far away from this Podiatrist. He was very unprofessional. He used curse words in front of my child, and tried to make my child and I sound stupid whenever we asked questions about his feet. I hope I never have to see that man or that horrible office lady again.

office was very dusty and fingerprinted everywhere, female nurse practitonist was unprofessional i really felt like i wasted $co-pay$ SMH would not recommend. :)

Dr. Boggs is a strait forward tell you the ugly truth type of Doctor. He doesn't do surgery if he isn't going to be in town to do post op care. He is one of the few good Doctors left around here. Thank you Dr. Boggs for caring and being real doctor with integrity. You re the best!

If you need a podiatrist, Dr. Boggs is the absolute best. It's a long story but he was very involved and concerned with my care. I always feel well informed and he's very hands in my care at the Wound Center as well. He has been the most amazing doctor. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a podiatrist ????

Dr Boggs was amazing for me. He got me in right away. He explained in detail what my options were He took care of my problem and with no insurance he was very reasonable. If I have any more foot problems I will go back to see him. I highly recommend him. Thank you Dr Boggs.

I hate negatively judge this doctor on his office staff but we were scheduled for the 5th which was a Holiday for all unbeknown to us, according to staff they tried contacting us at no avail. We did call again to reschedule for today at 415pm 7/12/2021 and the office was closed. No regards to a call we made. We will he seeking to find another doctor in the area that was highly recommended. Cleanliness is also a factor in this office. I’ve been going to a podiatrist since the 80s so I’ve been exposed to many different DPM’s. Before I went to go see this one I checked online and read various reviews some of them sounded to me like they were from what I call professional complainers my experience with this doctor had nothing in common with some of the horrendous complaints I read. His examination was spot on and he corrected my concerns perfectly. Next time I need podiatry I will return. He wears no gloves or did I see him wash his hands and the lady up front is so rude no eye contact or a smile when you walk dont even say hello to us they are both rude but got done what I needed done so whatever..???????????????????? (RUDE) that's why 1 star

Terrible experience..Terrible attitude..Tried to overcharge me.paid all deductibles..My feet got worse under his care..STAY AWAY

Provided no help at all. I believe he is just waiting to retire and does the bare minimum.

Dr Boggs has been exceptionally great with my mom who is 87 yrs. Very patient and explains everything he does. He is healing the sclermaderma that no one else did. So happy with him!

Not a clean or sanitary doctor. He proceeded to touch his face and his phone after he had touched/examined my feet (how does he know if they’re clean?!) without first washing his hands.

Dr Boggs is a great dr. He listens and explains in detail what's wrong with you. I couldn't ask for a better foot dr ????

He has helped me on several occasions with my foot issues

My daughter tore a ligament in her ankle, and Dr. Boggs was so good with her! He taught her exercises to strengthen the ankle and even took time to show her how his ultrasound machine worked. Thanks for your time, Dr. Boggs!

I am in my 4th week of plantar fasciitis pain and have seen my San Diego doctor three times already this month. We are heading north to see several national parks and I saw Dr. Boggs today and really appreicated his approach to my problem ( new) and complete discussion on how to beat this current episode. He also gives one of the best heel shots i have had. I would recommend Dr. Boggs for anyone with P.F. issues.

Not a sterile environment was very dirty. I'm surprised he doesn't cause a lot of hepatitis or other infections.no privacy leaves all the exam rooms open to everyone . Would not recommend this doctor to anyone!!!

I had been having problems walking for a few months. When I saw Dr. Boggs, he looked at my ankle and did a sonogram-type exam and told me the tendons were torn/separated. He did not give me a walking cast, but told me to take it easy and rest [my] foot. I returned to California, had an MRI done which showed no problems with the tendons and was referred to a back specialist because the problem was nerve pain, not a torn tendon. Can't write what the new doc said about Boggs' diagnosis.

I CALLED TODAY ( 7/25/2013) TO GET AN APPOIMENT. THE LADY ANSWERING THE PHONE IS VERY NEGATIVE, BAD ATTITUDE AND DISGUSTING PERSON. I COULDN'T MAKE MY APPOIMENT. BAD EXPERIENCE. DOCTOR SCOTT HIRED PEOPLE WANT WORK AND BE NICE WITH THE COSTUMERS NOT NEGATIVE IDIOTS LIKE YOUR FRONT DESK LADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
