Central Coast Foot Clinics got me in same day for a unique foot urgency. I am a young woman with a rare blood vessel disorder (Behcets Syndrome) that I have suspected has caused some weird toe discoloration and ulcerations on and off for several months. I was told by my UCLA Rheumatologist that there are no connections with my rare blood vessel disease (Behcets) and toe issues. I have also been to urgent care with no relief or conclusions on this painful toe syndrome I’m having. However, upon examination with Dr. Adams, before I even mentioned I have Behcets, he says it looks like “vasculitis”. Behcets is an extremely rare vasculitis disorder, so it’s no surprise when I told him he had not heard of it before (as it has nothing to do with podiatry). When he looked it up and realized it’s a vasculitis disease he began to think this was more than a coincidence. Since he was unfamiliar with Behcets, he took photos and followed up with me the next day (today) after researching and consulting colleagues. He confirmed he feels confident this is Behcets on my toes. He told me he was going to write my Rheumatologist personally letting her know this is in fact Behcets. Within minutes, my UCLA Rhumetologist was personally writing me requesting to see me next week. I am curious as to if this is going to make me “another case study”, as my vasculitis specialist has never seen toe ulcerations with Behcets. I am a rare bird whose health has been a case study before, so this would not surprise me! If it is this rare, extra kudos to Dr. Adams catching this and not letting a confirmation bias effect his ability to look outside the box and jump to assuming just because it hasn’t been studied, doesn’t mean it’s not possible. I can’t believe the expedited attention and care I received with Dr. Adams. Shout out to Mary who was a sweetheart and got me in same day. Extra thanks to the team getting on top of my prescription issues with my pharmacy. I am excited to pick up my topical medication to get out of pain a bit… versus having to take antibiotics like the urgent care docs have pushed. Thank you Dr. Adams and his staff!- Ashley Colvard (on my spouses gmail account). Central Coast Foot Clinics got me in same day for a unique foot urgency. Don’t do it. Unprofessional, incompetent, with mixed messages and instructions. They lost me as a patient and my confidence before I left the first office visit. I needed immediate surgery and was very vulnerable. Don’t expect to be treated well, given a thorough explanation, or have your questions answered without being treated like an uncooperative and difficult patient. So thankful I went with a different doctor who respected me and my situation and did it right. Get that second opinion, because it was VERY different and I am sure saved me a world of pain and inconvenience. Dodged a bullet.

PART 2 OF 2 : I declined to make an appointment for an Annual Exam since I was seeing Dr. Adams that day and had seen him last June. What, then, is the reason for an Annual Exam? I asked for a copy of my path report. It showed that my specimen was marked incorrectly as coming from my left great toenail. Dr. Adams appears to not believe in patient/doctor collaboration. And it's obvious that he doesn't think he can learn a thing from a senior citizen patient. Prior to my career as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, I administratively managed a podiatric residency program, as well as several surgical practices over the years. I wish I had looked at yelp.com, sharecare.com, and healthgrades.com for reviews before I chose this podiatrist. I will be carefully reviewing my Medicare and secondary EOB’s and switching to my orthopedic group to care for my feet.

A negative visit. He instantly diagnosed a neuroma and gave me an injection. Did not explain how many I would need. I had to ask. He said 3. After 3 injections there had been no improvement. He said I needed another round of 3 injections. I asked what if it still does not work? Then another round. It still did not work. I decided to go for a second opinion. The new doc diagnosed not a neuroma but a plantar tear. That is just how the pain had felt - a sharp tear. So I got the wrong diagnosis and 6 painful injections for something I did not have. Not patient friendly. Poor or no explanations. I had surgery with the second doctor and it took well over half of the pain away.

Dr. Adams and his staff do a great job of making you feel welcome. Our family had several visits and we have nothing but good things to say. I would recommend Dr. Adams to anyone seeking medical treatment.

I don't trust this doctor. His staff would give me unnecessary ultra-sounds prior to injections for a nueroma he was treating. When I asked the nurse if it was necessary she told me no, but "doctor" prefers to have one done prior to the injection. Then she flippantly stated, "Insurance covers it anyway." Um no, I was being charged each time. Of course he preferred me to have it done. Not because it was to my benefit, but because it benefited his pocket book. To make matters worse, billing is way behind so I didn't even catch what the crook was doing until I was well over $300 in debt to him. Stay away.

I fell for the seemingly good reviews but had a bad experience with the office. The physician is only in for a few hours a week and his staff (majority of whom are not medical professionals) do a great job of gate keeping. I had a simple procedure which in turn got infected. The post-surgery staff ignored me and told me everything looked "fine." It took two whole weeks for the office staff to take me seriously when I called with concerns. Then, I was given an antibiotics Rx over the phone with no follow up and no directions from the physician. Talk about attentive care. This office is eager to get clients in through the door but good luck getting to see the Doc if anything goes wrong.

I've been pain for the last few months due to an ingrown toe nail my local podiatrist has not properly treated. So I found myself on vacation at Pismo unable to put a sock on due to how swollen and sore my toe was. I have HMO so I knew I was going to have to pay out of pocket for not having a referral but at this point I did not care due to the pain I was in. So Googled podiatrist near me and Central Coast Foot Clinics popped up. I called, price was reasonable for not using my insurance and I was seen 30 minutes after calling them. Dr. Euklund treated me, he was very nice and explained the procedure to me. Staff was also very friendly. Overall I recieved excellent service!! Thank you ???? Dr. Ecklund is great. My daughter had a badly bruised toenail from ballet and he removed it. He made her feel so comfortable during the process. His staff is super friendly too. I’m a 100% disabled vet & can’t cut my toenails. Drove to my appt in Jan. & was told I had no more authorizations from the VA & they wouldn’t see me. No advance notice or phone call. They said my approvals ran out last Oct. I said I had an appt. last Nov. with no problem. They said that was a mistake and blamed it on their billing office. They don’t have any system in their own office to alert them when it’s time to request new approvals for Veterans. They didn’t offer any solution(s) to me.

Billing office said they'd flag a patient from being seen because the billing office doesn't want to check their patients benefits and eligibility. This billing representative was angry because claims were denied due to the fact that they didn't want to check the patients plan for prior authorization. Letty is the office reps name. Over heard this conversation. Letty also states she is denying a patient services because of Medicare guidelines. Letty's 30 years of being an office slave entitles her to flag patients from being seen because she doesn't want to do her job, thats the other reason why. Had fibromas on bottom of my r foot, should have been an easy surgery. However closed with staples instead of sutures, causing adhesion which when he went to fix, damaged nerves. Now I have nerve pain along with inability to use most of my shoes. I saw a Ortho surgeon after 2nd surgery to see if these othererrors could be corrected. In his professional opinion he would not have cut into ball or heal of foot, would never use staples on foot, and that the 2nd surgery shld not have done for 6-7 mon
